HOLLYBABY2`s polls

I need some diffrent point of veiws on this, I know it is my decision. My hubby and I decided to moved away from my mother and her side of the family about 7 mnths ago. b/c for the past few yrs they have really caused alot of problems, most of them have a drinking problem if that tells you anything. Since we have been able to move 2hrs away we have not had any contact with them. Now should my mother have the right to see her grandchild once she is born? Part of mine and my hubs decision to move was based on the fact that we did not want our children to be around the things she does. any advise?

Stripping or sweeping the membranes before being induced, how effective is it? Did it work for you? Or has it caused you to have any labor signs?

I have boiled my bottles to sterlize them. I`m in the nesting stage. I let them air dry and they have a white tint to them, powder like stuff. {Mostly on the nipples} Have I messed them up?

For those who believe in christmas being a time of giving and being thankful. How do you teach a 4yr old child to feel that way? It may sound like a stupid thing to ask, but I`ve been thinking about it. I want my daughter to not think of it as just getting presents for just herself. I`ve taken her christmas shopping and let her pick stuff out for family. But as a kid I think that she is automatically going to want more more more for herself. And I want her to grow up and be a giving person. We have brought her more this year than we ever have b/c next yr it will be harder for us, we`ll have 2 kids. It`s hard to explain what I`m saying, but any advise from moms who has any ideas on this type of morals would be nice.

I`m sure everyone will agree that the last few wks of being pregnant seems to take forever! With being so tired,big,wanting to hold the babe,your husband working all the time and you not working. It can be stressful at times. You can only do so much at this point. What do you guys do to pass time?

i would like to name our lil girl after her daddy whos name is `michael`, we have picked out her first name which is going to be alivia. the name makaylia was mentioned, but we already have a family member with that name. any suggestions?

For those who have a toddler and are pregnant, do you feel bad b/c you feel like you can`t play with your toddler like you did before you got pregnant? ill be 31 wks tomorrow,{i have a 3 yr and sometime i feel so bad cause it hard to get in the floor and play with her or pick her up and its hard to explain to her at times} we have to find new games while dad`s at work.does anyone else kinda feel bad like i do?

i live 35 min. away from my hosp. i`m afraid i won`t make it there in time when i go into labor.this is my 2nd child an i`ve been told it goes alot faster than your first. my doc says it`s up to me anything can happen. i can stay with fam. but my husband has to stay home due to work. i want to be safe but i don`t want to leave home. and plus i wouldn`t even know when i should start staying with fam. i`m 28 wks now so i have sometime to decide. but what do you all think?
