I had my son 9 days ago and am having some bad muscle pain kind of in front of where my uterus was. It hurts to stand up, sit, roll over in bed. Has anyone experienced anything like this? This is my 3rd and never experienced this before. I am guessing I just pulled a muscle but will talk to my midwife at my next check-up (which is soon) but would appreciate any insights from any who had similar issues. TIA

Still working on boy`s names. DH just found the name Kennan (pronounced KEN- an). Similar to Kenneth & Keenan but not as popular. Pronounced like Brennan with a K, and that name is more popular. What are your thoughts? Feel free to comment. TIA

What would you have done? Okay, so we stayed with my in laws over Christmas, and my BIL`s ex girlfriend comes to stay with them as well... she spent some time playing with my kids and whatnot. So, of my 2 labors, my 1st was natural, my second I had an epidural. When I got the epidural it worked great except at first I got dizzy, had ringing in my ears, and threw up. He injected something & I was fine. Now if I have an epidural again, will it happen again? Has anyone experienced this? TIA

Has anyone ever had nausea (no other symptoms yet) with no explanation, without being pregnant? I`m on Mirena IUD, I even checked & did a pregnancy test to be sure & it was negative. Any other explanations for nausea like that? (not on any medication, it`s happened at least 3x the past week, but it doesn`t feel half as bad as it did with my 1st 2 kids if it somehow was m/s). Any clue???

I`m looking for a musical instrument type of toy for my DD`s 2nd birthday. I`ve seen some cool ones, but they say ages 3 and up. Even if it is kind of advanced for her, do you think it would help to get it for her around this age? She loves music & I want to encourage that. Does anyone have any good tips on how to begin to teach kids to share? My DD is 21 months, and like the healthy toddler she is... thinks everything is hers. LOL. She has associated names with objects before (mama`s shoes, baby`s bottle, etc), but is there anything else I can do to encourage sharing? What is your experience- how do you cope with it? (my DS is 5 months, not too much longer and he`ll start minding when she takes something that`s his)

Kind of an odd question: when you`re without your kids in public, just you or you and your SO, do you feel odd like you almost want to prove to people you`re a parent b/c you`re so proud of that fact & involved with your kids...something like that? How far along have you been WITHOUT having contractions? I`m curious to see how common my situation is: I am 3 cms dilated, 65% effaced, and -2 station. I`ll be 38 weeks on Thursday. What was your experience? Please comment. Thanks!

My midwife told me it was really rare to have a 4th degree tear (which I had with my first). Just curious, what happened to you ladies?

Have you used a convertible crib as both a crib and a toddler bed? If so, please feel free to comment how it went for you. It`s our best option right now, but I hear there might be some problems with it and I haven`t found any reviews where people have used the toddler bed part yet.

I don`t find out the gender until the 11th, but we`re still stuck on boy`s names. Anyone have any boy`s names that you really like? Has anyone had a crib that converts to a toddler bed? If so, how was the toddler bed? Was it too high for them, bed rail wasn`t long enough, etc? My LO is 11 months and we`ll be getting her a toddler bed and wondering if a single toddler bed/ crib that converts/ twin sized with rail worked well for you (she`ll be transitioning somewhere from 15-19 months, I`d guess). This is my 1st, so I`m not sure how these transitions work yet.

Postpartum depression: this is an article from a church magazine (Ensign), but I felt it might really help some people to share it. WARNING, it contains references to a specific church and Christian beliefs, so please no one be offended. (it`s not a church doctrine based article, but is focused on PPD and does mention some ways religion can help.) I felt that even ignoring the religious aspects it was a great article on PPD.
