Im 39 weeks and 2 days; sick and tired of being pregnant and am serious contemplating taking castor oil to hopefully get things moving. Ive taken it twice already in the past week to no avail. First time I got wicked cramps and diarrhea with a few contractions, second time; nothing! Before I took it the first time my cervix was long, posterior and closed, at my past OB visit I was 1-2cm dilated, not as posterior and 25% effaced. In your opinion should I try castor oil again?!? Im not particularly worried about any of the supposed concerns/dangers associated with taking it given they are not proven (other than the obvious risk of dehydration but I stay well hydrated so Im not stressing that). If it were you, would you do it?!?

To the ladies who have brought their younger kids to Disneyland; In your opinion, is it worth it to bring a 2-3 year old?!? Is there anything geared for kids that young? Ive had some ppl tell me its not worth bringing a toddler, we should wait till our DD is a bit older so she can enjoy all they have to offer.

Spotting with a UTI?!? Im 27 weeks and started getting a bit of spotting in the middle of the night last night, I cant tell if the blood (very small amt, but there everytime I wipe) is coming forfm my actual vagina or from my urethra. The baby is active and I dont have any cramping...maybe a bit of discomfort that is all. Do you think it could be a UTI?!?

TMI warning---- For ladies using Mirena, have you noticed a difference in your vaginal discharge?!? I know Mirena is supposed to thicken cervical mucous to help prevent sperm motility, but after 1 year on mirena suddenly my discharge is consistently thin and mucousy (like when you are ovulating) It has been so for the last 2 or so weeks....Any insight?!?

Any ideas as to what this could be? My period was 2 weeks late this month (Im on mirena) about 1 week ago I started getting intense in my pelvis whenever I sneeze or cough. Today (day 3 of my period) Ive got terrible cramping and general pelvic pain (Ive never had menstrual cramps so this is out of the ordinary for me)

Do you ever raise your voice or yell at your child? My hubby says I raise my voice too much but I cant help it. I grew up in a house where everyone was very vocal and it was nothing to raise ones voice. I dont do it all the time mainly when shes being naughty or doing something she knows she shouldnt do and I get frustrated. I however dont yell at the top of my lungs or anything (just to clrify)

How much time do you spend actually playing with your infant? I cant help but feel like a terrible mom, my 11 month old doesnt really want to play with me, shed rather play independantly with her toys and occasionally associate with me if she wants to be held or nursed. Everytime I get down on her level to play with her it lasts all of 5 minutes. The only real time we play is if I tickle her or blow farts on her belly, and I cant spend all day doing that. Im worried that maybe Im not providing her with the stimulation she needs. Most of the time I sit on the sofa and watch her play or pick up a book while I keep an eye on her. Any insight would be uber aprreciated.

Bruising; do any of you LO`s bruise when they crawl? I just noticed today that my 11 month old daughters knees are balck and blue (Im assuming from crawling) that and Ive noticed a bruise on her forehead....I can help but wonder if this is normal or if I should be worried that there is an underlying cause for this easy bruising.

My girlfriend today told me that her 18 month old is now in a forward facing car seat....Fine by me hes not my child, but I will be keeping my daughter rear facing as long as possible (more than likely till she reaches the 45lb rear facing limit on her convertible seat) after telling her this she told me that once a babys legs or feet touch the back of the seat , in an impact they will break their legs.....Have any of you heard of this happening? I think its a bunch of phoney baloney but even then Id rather have a child with 2 broken legs than a dead one! Whay do you guys think?

I have a question; me and my husband are moving april 1st. Our lease is from the 1st of april 2010 till march 31st 2011. My landlord called me early last week and said that we would not be able to move in on the first. Apparently the current tenants wont surrender the keys to the appartment until the 31st so we have to wait until the 3rd to move in as the apartment has to be cleaned and painted. Is it unreasonable to ask that I be discounted the rent for the 1st and 2nd as I wont be able to move in and to make matters worse my husband booked off work to move so on top of it, hes using his vacation days and we cant even move on that date....

Could I be having a misacarriage? I took a HPT yesterday afternoon and the test line came back dark....I had bought a 2 pack of tests so I figured I would retest this with morning with my first mornings urine to confirm...Well this time around the line is incredibly faint, that and I have been having cramping since I got up....I cant help but feel like maybe this pregnancy could be coming to an end..... :(

I have a question for you ladies, Im apologizing in advance if its kind of long.....So today after being 3 days late with my period I decided to take a HPT. I know they say they take 3 minutes or whatever to develop but I have always just waited the time it takes to see the urine travel through the test and and activate the control line...So 20 seconds after peeing on it the control line appeared and no other line, so I figured; negative! I tossed it....well 4 hours later I walk by my waste basket in my bathrrom which was empty except for the test and sure enough I saw 2 lines....My question is: I know they say after a certain amount of time the test is invalid, but could a time lapse really make a line appear? I was under the impression that the line came up when they was HCG in the urine, I cant see how an extra few hours could magically make these hormones appear and make a line on the test....I am going to test again I just have to wait for my hubby to get home so he can watch my daughter while I go....

My 6.5 month old absolutely hates veggies.....she will literally gag and make herself throw up if I give them to her.....I dont know where I went wrong, I started with veggies, long before introducing any fruits to her and she was eating them just fine, then after I introduced fruits (about 1.5 months after introducing veggies) she absolutely refuses to eat anything but the fruit. I have caved in and almost exclusively give her cereal and fruits Ive tried time and time again and she refuses her veggies, I cant help but feel like I have no choice but to stick with the fruits as at her age she cannot thrive on breastmilk alone....HELP!!!

I have been EBF for the last 6 months, I have no lost a single pound since Ive had my LO...I reccently started cutting out those extra 500 calories a day I was told I needed to produce breastmilk, Ive steadily lost 2lbs a day since. I need some advice/suggestions. My LO is going to be 6 months old, she is exclusevely breastfed. She will not sleep through the night, she wake up to `feed` several times a night, thing is she`d not feeding, she just wants to suckle on my breast to get herself back to sleep....Ive tried giving her a pacifier but no go....I can absolutely not get her to sleep unless Im nursing her...This is starting to take its toll on me....Anyone experince this? Ever get a tattoo burnt (as in to remove it/reduce its appearance?!?) I had a tattoo done yesterday and I streared away from the hidden tatttoos I usually get and got my daughters birthday in bold black roman . should have been xxvii/vii/mmix turns out both the artist and I made a mistake and omitted the first v....thankfully we noticed before the tattoo was completed but the outline was done and you can tell there is something up with the tattoo, in 2 weeks Im se to get the messed up part burnt off *its not very big*) If you wanna check it out its on the last page of my photobook.

need your opinion ladies- I have auburn and black hair (bottom layers black, the top is auburn) I was hoping to go back to my natural colour which is blonde. I usually go about doing this by getting a full head of blonde highlights every 7 or so weeks till all my hair is blonde, My question is: should I stick with the black and auburn and get the high lights on top of that and end up with tricoloured hair or should I dye them all black (I cant go all auburn as the black wont come out) and get my blonde highlights on my black hair?

A friend of mine lost all her baby weight in 2 months. I asked her how and she admitted she abused diuretics and laxatives. I seriously have never heard of people abusing them to lose weight. Have you? It sounds awful risky to ones health :S

Im having a dilema....My SO younger brother (hes 18) is having a baby with his girlfriend (shes 16) me and my hubby feel incredibly jealous. Our LO is only 4 months old and barely see her grandma as is and now we feel like not only will she be seeing less of her grandma once this baby comes along but that their are stealing our daughters `thunder` I know it sounds ridiculous. But we cant help it! His brothers gf stopped taking her birthcontrol behind his brothers back and he didint want to have a baby, they were going to terminate but she decided that she wants to have this baby. She also has kidney disease which will make his pregnancy very risky not only for her but for the bbay especially. Is it unresonable that we would be jealous even a little upset over this?

Im 39 weeks and 2 days; sick and tired of being pregnant and am serious contemplating taking castor oil to hopefully get things moving. Ive taken it twice already in the past week to no avail. First time I got wicked cramps and diarrhea with a few contractions, second time; nothing! Before I took it the first time my cervix was long, posterior and closed, at my past OB visit I was 1-2cm dilated, not as posterior and 25% effaced. In your opinion should I try castor oil again?!? Im not particularly worried about any of the supposed concerns/dangers associated with taking it given they are not proven (other than the obvious risk of dehydration but I stay well hydrated so Im not stressing that). Spotting with a UTI?!? How much time do you spend actually playing with your infant? I cant help but feel like a terrible mom, my 11 month old doesnt really want to play with me, shed rather play independantly with her toys and occasionally associate with me if she wants to be held or nursed. Everytime I get down on her level to play with her it lasts all of 5 minutes. The only real time we play is if I tickle her or blow farts on her belly, and I cant spend all day doing that. Im worried that maybe Im not providing her with the stimulation she needs. Most of the time I sit on the sofa and watch her play or pick up a book while I keep an eye on her. Bruising; do any of you LO`s bruise when they crawl? My girlfriend today told me that her 18 month old is now in a forward facing car seat....Fine by me hes not my child, but I will be keeping my daughter rear facing as long as possible (more than likely till she reaches the 45lb rear facing limit on her convertible seat) after telling her this she told me that once a babys legs or feet touch the back of the seat , in an impact they will break their legs.....Have any of you heard of this happening? I have a question; me and my husband are moving april 1st. Our lease is from the 1st of april 2010 till march 31st 2011. My landlord called me early last week and said that we would not be able to move in on the first. Apparently the current tenants wont surrender the keys to the appartment until the 31st so we have to wait until the 3rd to move in as the apartment has to be cleaned and painted. Could I be having a misacarriage? I have a question for you ladies, Im apologizing in advance if its kind of long.....So today after being 3 days late with my period I decided to take a HPT. I know they say they take 3 minutes or whatever to develop but I have always just waited the time it takes to see the urine travel through the test and and activate the control line...So 20 seconds after peeing on it the control line appeared and no other line, so I figured; negative! I tossed it....well 4 hours later I walk by my waste basket in my bathrrom which was empty except for the test and sure enough I saw 2 lines....My question is: I know they say after a certain amount of time the test is invalid, but could a time lapse really make a line appear? I was under the impression that the line came up when they was HCG in the urine, I cant see how an extra few hours could magically make these hormones appear and make a line on the test....I am going to test again I just have to wait for my hubby to get home so he can watch my daughter while I go....(Baby-poll poll by ladykilla421, 709 days ago)

My 6.5 month old absolutely hates veggies.....she will literally gag and make herself throw up if I give them to her.....I dont know where I went wrong, I started with veggies, long before introducing any fruits to her and she was eating them just fine, then after I introduced fruits (about 1.5 months after introducing veggies) she absolutely refuses to eat anything but the fruit. I need some advice/suggestions. My LO is going to be 6 months old, she is exclusevely breastfed. Ever get a tattoo burnt (as in to remove it/reduce its appearance?!?) need your opinion ladies- I have auburn and black hair (bottom layers black, the top is auburn) I was hoping to go back to my natural colour which is blonde. Im having a dilema....My SO younger brother (hes 18) is having a baby with his girlfriend (shes 16) me and my hubby feel incredibly jealous. Our LO is only 4 months old and barely see her grandma as is and now we feel like not only will she be seeing less of her grandma once this baby comes along but that their are stealing our daughters `thunder` I know it sounds ridiculous.
