I have a 1 month old and an 11 1/2 month old at home. My oldest has been VERY difficult during the nights lately, I`m starting to wonder if she is `acting out` because of our new addition. She was never a great sleeper, I always rocked her to sleep and rocked her everytime she woke up (and I still do!) but she is refusing to sleep now. Any suggestions?

My LO is 18 days old and her cord stump is starting to smell bad. It`s been kept dry except for cleaning with a q-tip and water which was done at every diaper change. There are no signs of infection, no redness, swelling or heat, no pus and only a tiny bit of discharge. It doesn`t have an infection type of odor, it just...smells funky. Do you/did you only use water to clean your lo`s stump or did you use rubbing alcohol? Is there any reason NOT to use it? I know they say your don`t need to use it, but will it hurt her or slow down the healing if I do use it?

I have a 4 day old and I am terrified that she is not getting enough milk. I`ve started supplementing with formula after offering her breast milk. She has a wet diaper everytime I change her and her poop is yellow and seedy. But she sleeps for 3-4 hours at a time and I usually have to wake her up then to feed. She usually falls asleep during breast feeding and there is nothing I can do to wake her up, I feed her in just her diaper, I change her first, I tickle her...nothing, she just sleeps. I`m just so nervous and this isn`t even my first baby! Any advice would be appreciated, thanks!

So my baby will be born by c-section tomorrow morning and I just starting having second thoughts about her middle name. We`ve decided on Emily as a first name and we were thinking of Christina for a middle name after her father. Now I don`t like it anymore! I really want to go with a one syllable middle name. My first daughter`s name is Lydia Dawn. Can someone give me some suggestions PLEASE :-)

I will be 38 weeks pregnant tomorrow and for the past week I have noticed a lump at the base of my breast. It is very painful and about the size of a quarter. It seems to have apperared out of no where and has grown rapidly. Has this happened to anyone during pregnancy? Is it just inflammation? I will be telling my doctor about it next week. But I would like to know if it has happened to anyone else?

So my 10 month old just started sleeping better at nights and during naps. I`ve been looking forward to this for some time now, I knew it would eventually happen, lol. But now that is happening, I worried that she might be sleeping so much because she is not well. She has no fever or anything, she plays great when she is awake...is it normal to feel like this?

Okay, so I`m 27 years old, married to a wonderful husband, I have one beautiful daughter who 1ill be 1 year old in Novemeber. She will be getting a baby sister in September, they will be 10 and 1/2 months apart. I am having a scheduled c-section and have opted to have a tubal ligation. Good idea? Bad idea? Not that the results will change my mind, just interested in the opinions of others.
