all mommys, did anyone else happen to have high blood pressure a few weeks after delivering? i am 8 weeks postpartum and my blood pressure has been high the past few days. can that happen b/c my body is getting back together? i am also starting my first real period.

At 6 1/2 weeks should I be waking my daughter up after 4 hours to bottlefeed her even if she just went down for a nap 1 hour before that or should I wait until she wakes up and just give her more (making sure she is getting enough oz within the day just not spread out as much)? my doctor told me at her 2 week visit not to let her go past 4 hours during day without eating but I dont know if that is mandatory for her now that she is almost 7 weeks. i just dont want to have to wake her up if she just falls asleep.

did anyone else`s infant get a rash on their scalp0 and alittle on face? they r little red bumps. the dr. said its superficial and to keep eye on if it spreads but it sounds like no big deal because she is showing no other signs. shesv had the rash since monday (4 days) and her temp has been 98.6,98.6,99.1,98.9. today it was 99.3, is that a cause for concern? and how do u know if they have diarhhea since her poop always looks smooth and yellow? she is 4 1/2 weeks old.

my baby will be 4 weeks tomorrow. i had blood the first week and then it stopped for about 1/2 a week. then i got a lot of blood again for a day and then it slowed down and was a normal steady period for another few days until it became yellowish/red and eventually i didnt need a pad again (around beginning/middle of week 3). now today (the day before week 4) i got it bright red again. i havent gone through a whole pad this whole day but scared b/c its bright red again. is this normal for it to come and go like this this far in?

I am bringing my baby to a 4th of july picnic. she will be 6 weeks. I was wondering what to dress her in. It will be outside and the temp will most likely be between 80 and 90 degrees. I know I cant put sunblock on her and I also don`t want to overheat her, so what should I put on her? I was thinking a sleeveless dress to keep her cool, a sun-hat and just make sure she is always in the shade. Will she still get sunburned while being in the shade?

after my baby cries, she calms down but will make almost like gasping sounds with her mouth closed once in a while. I think its only after crying but not all the time. its hard to explain in words but can also be described as a hiccup but with her mouth closed or the ahh without the choo (of a sneeze). does this happen to anyone else`s baby? she is 3 weeks old and has done this since the first week.

mommys who gained more than 30 lbs~~how long did it take you to lose your baby weight if you were trying to? i was 122lbs prepreg. and gained a total of 50 lbs. (172). i went down to 150 in 1st week but now i am 3 weeks postpartum and am staying at 145. i am eating extremely healthy but unfortunatly cant exercise yet but still cant seem to lose the weight. will i ever get back down to atleast around my old weight and how long does it take? i really dont have money/time to buy new clothes!!

give it another month or two and u will be back in your old clothes.
it probably will take about 6 months to a year to get back but you will eventually
sorry sweety, no matter how much you try you will never weigh in the 120's again no matter how much you try!!

I just had my daughter 2 weeks ago and i bled normal for the first week. this past week i havent even needed a pad but i woke up with blood that soaked through my pants onto my mattress and then i went to have a bowel movement and when i pushed a huge clot came out of me. i have had the same pad on for the past 3 hours and it hasent filled up yet, so should i worry? i also noticed that my pulse is in the 50`s and wondering if that is too low and if it has something to do with the bleeding. i called dr and the midwife said as long as im not soaking through a pad every 1/2 hour. should i worry?

How do you warm a bottle on the stove? Do you boil water then put in bottle or put bottle in water and let it come to a boil? How long does bottle need to stay in boiled water? Thanks for your help!!

any moms out there~ I am now at 40 weeks and still no dilation, cervix is soft but still long and posterior. Do any of you have `good` stories you want to tell me like going from 0cm to labor in matter of days or just something to keep my hopes up!!??

does anyone know which vaccinations are new? like which ones they just started giving in the past 10 years? do you know which ones arent that crucial? i cant see giving my child 22 immunization shots by age 15 months when i only had 8.

did anyone elses amniotic fluid get lower towards the end? mine went from 12.6 at my 36 1/2 week checkup and at 37 1/2 weeks it is at 9. they are watching it and if it gets to 6 they will induce. anyone else havethat problem with their previous children or are in my same situation?

which shots are our babies getting in the hospital? im only wondering b/c i want to talk with my pediatrian about which ones are vital and which arent and i dont know if i should make an appointment before labor or not. i just dont have that much time in the next 4 weeks. i feel like vaccinations like the chickpox is just plain dumb. I feel some things that are bodies have to fight off just make our immune system that much stronger. so my question is which shots and which ones if any did you refuse and why.

what did it feel like when you first felt your baby? everyone says it felt like butterflys, or gas bubbles, but my sister felt more knots kinda of like a quick sharp jab from the inside, and thats exactly what i have felt maybe 3 or 4 times a day for the past 2 days. did anyone else have that kind of feeling?
