Any advice on how to `sleep train` a 13 month old?I have to go back to work in 6 weeks and my son is about %75 breastfed (the rest of his his intake is entirely self-fed, he doesn`t take a spoon). He co-sleeps and we practice attachment style parenting. I will be working evenings so my husband will be putting him to bed (as well as our four year old). Thanks.

Does anyone have any advice on this potty training issue: my daughter just turned three and clearly exhibits all the markers for being ready for the potty but when I try to give it a go with her (were panties, no diaper ect..) she gets very upset and doesn`t want to do it. I have heard that when you are preggers sometimes you can have trouble when coloring your hair. Does anyone know if the same is true while nursing? Do you give your newborn a dummy? ( After they are used to the breast, of course). I went camping this week and got a bit carried away with cocktails. I had six bottles of beer one night and 5 another night. My son is 10 weeks old and is breastfed. I had these drinks after meals on a full stomach and before his first long sleep-stretch (4-5 hours). I have to volunteer at my daughters pre-school for a three hour period once a month starting in September. My baby will be 14 weeks then and I am not allowed to bring him. Those of you who are nursing, do you drink at all? I have had a couple of glasses of wine the last couple of nights and wondered if any one else was doing the same. My son is 6 weeks old and he eats every 2-3 hours.

I am considering getting a breast pump to give it a whirl. I tried it with my daughter when she was a newborn but I found it more trouble than it was worth. I thought it might be good in case I wanted to get a haircut or something like that. My son is 4 weeks old..does anyone have any advice on pumping? Technique, products etc...? Thanks!

Every no and then over the last few months my three year old has been waking up an hour or so after going to bed. She wakes up crying and it escalates to hysteria in no time, I have to turn the lights on and wake her up to get her to stop. She doesn`t seem scared so I don`t think it is night terrors but I can`t think of what it could be. Does anyone else`s toddler do this? Do you know what it could be? Thanks...

Do you think it is OK to `push` your toddler towards potty training? My daughter is nearly three and we have been working on it for several months, doing everything `right`- letting her try at her own pace, buying the cute underwear etc... Now, frankly my husband and I just want to be done with toddler diapers (yuck!) and have discussed setting a loosely based time line for her when we are just going to say `right, you are done with diapers` and see how that goes. Has anyone tried this approach..did it work?

My son has small (about the size of my pinky nail) redish purple mark on his forearm that literally appeared overnight. It is flat and almost looks like a bruise...could a birthmark appear overnight like this? Any ideas? Thanks!

I am 37 weeks. This may sound naive but, my baby is head down and has been for ages but his body moves all over the place. Does the head stay put and the body just move around or does the head disengage a bit?
