I need some advice. My MIL is 78 and recently had a stroke, but is still in pretty good general health except for mixing up her words a bit. I am really fed up with her, however, as she completely favors my SIL and her kids ( has even given the SIL land to build a house and 25k in cash that she never got back even though it was a loan). She has never given my 2.5 yr old anything except for a pair of socks 2 yrs ago and she has given my son a bib. Saturday was my son`s first bday party and my MIL missed it because she said she thought it was Sunday,even though we called to remind her. We offered to pick her up and take her to the party and she said she had plans with a friend. She never even RSVP`s to our invite and neither did my SIL, whom she lives with. How would you handle it? My DH says it`s just that she`s old, but that`s not true. She isn`t too old to go out with friends, walk a mile a day, give $500 to her other granddaugter who graduated from college, etc. She calls us once a week and we have to meet pick her up and take her somewhere ot eat, usually at our cost, because my SIL doesn`t want the kids around the house, and my MIL never says anything to her. This has all gotten very upsetting.

I am about 4 weeks pregnant, and with my other 2 pregnancies, I saw the hpt lines getting darker after a few days. I haven`t seen that happen with this pregnancy. I just keep getting light lines on most of the tests. Has this happened to you ?

My 6 month old son has had diarrhea for 4 days. The ped said it might be viral and can last up to 2 weeks. Does anyone have any suggestions for what to feed him to help stop it?
