Just curious.. when you see a baby or when others see your child/baby what do you say or what do you like to hear or dont like to hear? Include pet peeves. For myself I hate it when people say my child doesn`t look like me. love it whe I hear how sweet my son is and well behaved.

idea for homeschooling.. I`m rehabbing a knee and lay on the floor twice a day to do my exercises. I`ve noticed my 3.5 yr old LOVES this time with me...so much I`ve started to add all our practice sheets of alphabet, numbers, etc on the floor. just thought i`d share..as what I at first thought was `a waste of time` is now the biggest learning opportunity. My other secret was told to me on this site, its starfall.com, my son loves it!! thank you to the moms who told me about this. Does anyone else have a `learning secret?`...please share..thank you!!

overwhelmed by schools. My son will be 4 August 31. I`m happy keeping him home now as I do a lot of activities with him but am considering a school in the fall. I started looking into schools but got quickly overwhelmed..charter, public, private, home schooling. my ideal would be a few day a week program. I work one week one week off now so have a ton of time to teach him myself but also want interaction and other people to teach him too. Any ideas on where to start? thanks moms..i love you! I live in Minneapolis (not impressed at all with public school scores in my area)

why the heck can`t I find sexy cotton panties that are comfortable?? I`d particularly like the waist band to be pretty, lacy etc, but deff want/need cotton crotch and hate ride-ups. Please share your panty name/link if you are lucky enough to have found an awesome pair..thanks soo much.

Spotting wont stop. I had my period and then spotted for about 20 days and now a period again. Anyone have advice for getting the spotting/bleeding to stop? I`d like to try herbal first before going in for something like estrogen or birth control. we are TTC. thanks!

ok, so I go grocery shoping today..my cart is filled with apples, carrots, kale, spinach, carrot juice, the worst thing I bought was baby dill pickles:)...anyway the mom behind me buys a stack of pizzas, cookies, a ton of pop, bags of candy and marshmellows...I didn`t see one healthy thing! I couldn`t help but feel sorry for her children. There`s no possible way they can grow to their full potential eating crap! Anyone else feel this way or am I the only one??

Need advice on doing time outs right. We started today, (son is 32 months old). We spent the morning putting a doll in time outs, I decided to call it `take a break`. I had baby be naughty, gave him a warning, he was still naughty and so walked him to take a break. he took a two min break, we went back, I told him he was taking a break for doing so-in-so and not listening to mommy. Baby then said I`m sorry mommy and we gave him hugs and kisses. We have a break corner on both levels of our home. Now I`m just waiting for it to be my son`s turn..lol...just thought I`d ask for advice and support from those who have been there.

Anyone recommend a diet program or book they like that worked?? I just gave Weight Watchers an honest 3 month try and actually gained a little weight so I don`t think it`s the best one for me. I`m training for a triathlon at the end of summer, so am biking, swimming and jogging and I lift weights too. Anyone have luck with a diet for those who are active??

Need advice on what i should ask for at my first apt with my OBGYN concerning this...for instance is there a procedure I should ask for or medication or ask to see a specialist right off the bat? when my 2.5 yr old naps I frequently go out in the back yard to do yard work etc. I noticed the 95 yr old lady right across the street could use a quick raking and would be MUCH quicker doing it alone. I would have the monitor on me and it easily reaches much further than that. is this too far to go? I`m not saying I am going to do it..its the question of how far can one really go with baby/child at home and a monitor on them? is it legal to go say 1/2 block away? if not how far cI go? back yard? what if I had a huge back yard? I want honest thoughts on this topic with those that have thought about this topic themselves..thanks

i have a 31 month old who is whining a lot but just with me or daddy..hes a perfect angel with everyone else. im gret at ignoring him (i put ear plugs in lol) but the ignoring doesnt seem o be working. last night he was whining/crying about everything for over an hour. any advice on getting him to stop? thank you!
