Hi!
I've been visiting this sight since I found out I was pregnant at 5 weeks, and FINALLY have gotten around to making myself a member now that I have the time with no more study and having just currently finished work! I have been with my partner Corey since the beginning of this year (not long I know) but we've been friends for longer. We found out we were pregnant in April this year and although we were VERY surprised, we couldn't be happier that we've made the decision to stay together and raise this baby!
Ever since taking my first pregnancy test (on a 4 hour train ride north to visit coreys relatives) I've been calling this baby my "little man"... and soon after going for our 18 week 6 day ultrasound it was confirmed that he IS a little boy with no surprise to Corey and I, but perhaps a huge surprise for my mum who is now expecting her 5th grandson! So we're trying to set up his nursery and Ive had a babyshower with my girlfriends from school and having another shower in Nov for my very large family.
I feel very prepared, well-organised and confident about the birth and raising this baby, which I know Im very fortunate to feel. I just cant wait to finally give birth to him and have him here hopfeully before Christmas!

Just sitting at home a little bored/feeling a bit queazy today! Went to the hospital last week to see the midwife and talk about my birth plan... it's really important to me that I have the least amount of pain killers as possible!!! I dont want an episiotomy or anything like that, the least amount of interference would be great :) Anyway so baby is healthy and happy in there, in an optimal position already so hopefully it becomes a favourite for him and he decides to make it easy for me and stay that way when he decides to come out!
I also just had a bit of fun on this website...
The day you deliver outside will be Sunny. Your baby will arrive in the morning.
After labour lasting approximately 7 hours, your child, a boy will be born. Your baby will weigh 7 pounds 15 ounces and will be 20 and a half inches long. He will have dark brown eyes and lots of dark hair.
I do wonder alot what he will look like! And it would sound right for him to have dark brown eyes as the father has VERY dark brown eyes. Cant wait to have this baby!!!

Last night Corey and I had a scare.... I couldnt feel bub move ALL DAY which is very unlike him so after Corey tried talking to him and giving him a little poke around on my tummy he still wouldnt budge. So I called the hospital and they told us to come in.
After being hooked up to an ECG for 20mins he was kicking around like crazy.. I swear the midwives thought I was faking not feeling him all day... BUT I'd rather be safe than sorry. And Im just glad He's okay.
So we drove the 30mins home again and went to bed.
That was hopefully the first and LAST time we have to do that.
Eventful night indeed.

I had my family Babyshower yesterday!!!
(I had one with just girlfriends a month ago... only because i have a HUGE family!) With just he women from my mums side of the family, i had a really good day.. My eldest sister pretty much organised EVERYTHING, she really enjoys that sort of stuff. I received some really gorgeous stuff, SO MANY CLOTHES, he is going to the best dressed baby around :)
Also, lots of nappies, baby toiletries, toys, baby bath, nappy bag, car seat and more!! So Im pretty much set. Ill have to take some photos of his room as it's all ready now and looks gorgeous, it's finally all seeming so real, and I feel so blessed to have such a supportive and VERY family orientated family with already so many babies in it :D

Things have been a little hard lately... well for most of the pregnancy... considering my partner is so immature sometimes. I KNOW he's only 18 but some things he says I just feel like saying SHUT THE F*CK UP AND GET OVER IT. He seriously needs to learn to forgive and forget and move on like most grown adults adjust to doing quite easily.
BUt other than that the pregnancy has been fine... a little reflux during the night and the heat is getting pretty bad now its almost summer.... lucky we've got aircon. Doctor says baby is transverse again which also REALLY pissed me off, and concerned me because honestly lately all i have been hearing from friends that are having babies is c-sections f*ckin everything.... I DO NOT WANT ONE and it seems as though everyones getting them recommended to them for the TINEST little reasons.. like its just easier for doctors to do them so thats what they prefer. I have my 36 week appt next friday so we'll see what the doctor has to say about bubs position then... and if im recommened a c-section- they can get f*cked.
Worst mood ever today... although i try to NEVER cry because i dont want baby to hear it.... all he can hear now it just typing.

Had my LAST hospital check up on friday :) everythings well.. babys back head down! YAY :D
But I've been suffering really bad swollen feet and hands! its quite painful but Im just trying to rest up and put cold packs on them if it gets too much. Other than that everythings well, Ive washed all bubs clothes/towels/blankets - we got aircon in our bedroom! We picked up my cradle and its going next to our bed and things are really getting organised!!
Im getting so excited!!! I just wonder when he's goin to decide to come!
We visited Coreys mums house yesterday and saw coreys nana ( babys greatnana).. WE JUST NEED TO PICK OUT HIS NAME NOW. AHHH - im scared we wont ever agree :(

BUT! now we can try again.
awww...very cute baby bump
