My boyfriend and I recently found out that we are expecting our first little one. We took a home pregnancy test very late april after i missed my period for that month it had a very faint line indicating positive so we werent sure. we decided to wait adn retest on 5/03/08 and we got a very clear positive result. it was very emotional for us first we were very scared then i was very excited and after he calmed down a bit he was happy to. we were both very surprised adn still abit in shock the next morning 5/04/08 so we retested with a different brand and got positive again. we made an appointment with our local family planning adn got the pregnancy confirmed 5/06/08 they put me at 6 weeks with a due date of 12/31/08 just after my 19th birthday. my boyfriend is 20 adn we moved in together just before we got the news. our next step is telling our folks. hes much more nervous than i am as we rent the upstairs apartment from his parents in there house. this is quite a surprise but were excited and up for the challenge.....any advice on talking to your folks or anything is so welcome... thanks

UPDATE **

i called my doctor today may 29 and they moved my ten week appointment from june 4 to june 13th wiht a new doctor wich is good because i dont like mine adn dont want her delivering my baby so hopefully this one works out ...we choose a froggie theme for the baby we are painting the furniture sage green with creamy yellow accents and im painting frog scenes on them. were very excited me especiallky adn i cant wait to see what my little baby is going to be im just hoping for healthy although i have a feeling its a girl ...well see :)
