Wednesday, 23 Jan
Hi all! I `m Paula and I `m excited to find a place to meet other `s who are going through this with me :-) This will be baby #4 for us and we are expecting a boy! That makes 3 boys and 1 girl. Guess she `s gonna get really rotten haha!!

Tuesday, 5 Feb

Went in today for my check-up and all went well. Measuring right on target and no swelling. They even told me I look and sound good!! lol When I went in 2 weeks ago I was so sick :( The girl who takes my bp and weight didn `t even recognize me this morning. She told me she hadn `t seen me in a while. I must have looked really bad last time. :O hahaha!!

Tuesday, 19 Feb

Had my 35 week check up today and all is going well. The baby is "a good size," my cervix is soft, and his head is down low. Almost over now!!

Tuesday, 26 Feb

Went in this morning for my 36 week appointment and everything is going great. Got an induction appointment set for March 19. Hope I go on my own before that, but if not it's nice to know when I will ;)

Tuesday, 11 March

I had my 38 week check up today and asked to doctor to check me for progress. Well, he said "See you next week!" How disappointing to hear. Oh well. After talking to him about the induction we had already discussed, I decided that if this is going to be my last, I want to go into labor on my own. So looks like I have no idea when I get to meet my little fella. Kinda puts some of the excitement back into it all since we know he's a boy. Now we don't have any idea what his birthday will be!!

Saturday, 22 March Our birth story.....

I finally have a chance to take a few minutes and give you our story. For a couple of weeks I had been having "false labor" and was getting a little discouraged. My contractions would get to 5 min. apart, then just seemed to stop. Last Saturday (3/15) we went shopping for a new van because we needed something that all 6 of us could ride in at once. While we were at the dealership I started having contractions coming every 6-10 min. apart. We went to get something to eat before the drive back home and they started getting so hard and close that I just knew I was in labor. Well we get home, I wait a few hours, still coming just not as intense, and I decide to call the doctor. He tells me to come in and once we're all packed, they slow down and eventually stop!!! Are you kidding? Okay, so I wake up on Sunday morning feeling really good. I felt great all day. We went to church, came home, went to Wal-mart for a few things, came back home and still felt great!! On Monday I woke up at 3:30 am to go to the bathroom and around 4 am the contractions started. They were coming every 5 min. apart and at 5:30 am they stopped again. I woke up at 8 am and didn't feel well but I wasn't having contractions, just a back ache. At around 10 am I started getting strong contractions and began to time yet again. These are coming every 5-7 min. apart and after waiting a few hours, I called the doctor. I was told to come in and when he checked me I was 3 cm. and 60% effaced. They told me to go over to the hospital and they would break my water. After my water broke I walked and walked and walked trying to speed up the process. Get checked and I'm now 4 cm still 60%. Another check later 5 cm 60%, another check later 5 cm 60% another check at 7 pm, and wouldn't you know it...... 5 cm 60%!! I am not progressing. I asked "Is it possibly because my baby is in the posterior position?" Maybe. Okay now it's time for pitocin and at 7:30 pm they start the drip. Progress is still too slow and sometime around 9-9:30 pm they turn me on my side because I've now managed to get to a whopping 6 cm 60%!! After 12+ hours of labor and 15-20 min of pushing, (without an epidural) we were proudly able to announce that: at 10:07 pm on Monday, March 17, 2008 Abram finally entered the world!! It was very difficult, and he was much harder to deliver than any of the other 3 and I am so glad he is here!!!

Monday, April 6

Well here we are 3 weeks later and there's a lot to adjust to. He is absolutely precious and we all love him dearly. The kids just come in and check on him all the time and our daughter can't seem to stop giving him kisses. We are all so much in love. He doesn't like to take real naps during the day just quick 10-20 min. cat naps then later on in the afternoon he'll take a decent 2 hr. nap. I feel like I can't get anything done because he loves to be cuddled. I've got to enjoy this because I know this time will pass by very quickly and I'll be looking back wishing I could have him like this just one more day.......

Tuesday, May 20

Abram is 9 weeks old now and time is going by so quickly. He went in for his 2 month check-up yesterday and is doing great!! He weighs 13lbs. 11oz. and is 22 1/2 in. long. What a big boy!! He's got thrush which I think he's possibly had since birth so now that he's being treated, he'll most likely fuss less and feel better. He's smiling so much at us and even trys to laugh when we're playing with him. He loves to hear the story of the 3 Little Pigs told by Daddy complete with voices and all!! His eyes get so WIDE when the Big Bad Wolf says "Little pig, little pig let me in!" It's so sweet to watch and since he enjoys it so much he gets to hear it at least twice a day. :-)

My husband and I are truly blessed and thank the LORD for his gifts of love, forgiveness, and family!

Monday, July 21

Abram went in for his 4 mos. check-up this morning!! Where has the time gone? He's doing beautifully. He weighs 19 lbs. 12 oz., he's 26 1/2 in. long and his doctor said he looks healthy!! I can finally tell all the people that keep asking me what the doctor says about his size that he's doing perfectly! He's having fewer fussy periods and most days he's great. He's started eating a little cereal as well as a few veggies from our garden and he loves them. He "talks" to me while I'm feeding him and it is just too cute! I love being a mommy!

Wednesday, September 24

We went for our 6mos . checkup today and whoa what a big fella. He weighs 23 lbs 5 oz., he's 27 1/2 inches long, and his head circumference is 17 1/2 inches. Looking wonderful and growing like a weed! He sits up very well, loves to play with his toys, and is eager to crawl. Our life is so beautiful.

Wednesday, December 17

Abram had his 9mos. check-up today. Everything was great! He weighs 24 lbs. 8 oz. and he's 28 1/2 inches long. He still only army crawls but he does occassionally get on his hands and knees to get around. He's pulling to a standing position every chance he gets and is walking while pushing toys around. He says mama, dada, hi, and dit (whatever that means :-)). He can wave bye-bye, and play patty cake (he's been clapping since 5 mos.) , give sweet kisses and make the mmwwaahh sound when we do. Very cute! He's doing beautifully and so are we.

Did you know......?

Did you know how much you are loved? "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16 Did you know that Jesus Christ died for you? "......how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:" 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8 Did you know that you can't work your way to heaven? "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God; Not of works, lest any man should boast." Ephesians 2:8-9 Did you know that there is only one way to get to heaven? "Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." John 3:3 Did you know that absolutely no-one has to miss the blessings of heaven? "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10:13 Did you know that we are all sinners? "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:" Romans 3:10 "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God:" Romans 3:23 Did you know that death is the punishment for anyone who doesn't turn away from their sinful life? "For the wages of sin is death:" Romans 6:23a Did you know that faith and repentance in the Lord Jesus Christ are all you need to receive the gift of salvation? "For by grace are ye saved through faith;...." Ephesians 2:8 "I tell you, Nay; but except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish." Luke 13:3 “ And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.” Luke 24:47Did you know that in order to receive this gift you must ask for it? "...but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23b "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from he dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Romans 10:9-10 Did you know that you can pray right here, right now and ask the Lord Jesus Christ to save you? "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." 1John 1:9 "...:behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation." 2 Corinthians 6:2 Did you know that now you need to tell someone about your new Saviour? "Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy;" Psalm 107:2 Did you know that a local bible believing church is the best new place for you to be? It is there that you will hear the word of God and be surrounded by other believers. "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." Romans 10:17 "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them." Matthew 18:20

Psalm 150

1. PRAISE ye the LORD, Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power.

2. Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness.

3. Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp.

4. Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs.

5. Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals.

6. Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.

I find that Edwin doesn't care for a lot of pureed vegetable based foods. All he wants to eat is Turkey Vegetable Casserole and sweet potatoes. He will eat all fruits, oh and squash as well. Anything else he won't eat. He gags, I am always trying new things hoping that something will catch on. Any suggestions?

What is the big deal about no cow milk?? I guess I'll ask the Dr. next week at our appt. But, we've been giving Logan regular milk here and there if we run out of formula....it's so darn expensive!!

I've done strawberries already too and a little citrus. I am not concerned about it to tell you the truth. Someone told me on here not to give those foods until 1 year which I totally understand because that is what we are being told but he did just fine so I don't bother worrying about it too much.
