I had my first ultrasound on moday and we found out it's a girl!!!!! I am estatic and have already bought a few things for her. My entire family was expecting a baby boy however, due to superstitious stuff they were so certain it was a boy, so it made me a little sad and weepy to see the disappoint in their eyes. My husband was consoling me and kept reminding me that this is OUR baby, not anyone else's, so as long as WE are happy then that's all that should matter. During the ultrasound we saw her moving around a lot and I didn't even feel a thing! And when her head started bouncing up and down, I asked the tech why she's doing that and the tech said she had the hiccups!! awwwww... we even saw little bubbles coming out of her mouth.. it was sooo adorable =) I was 18 weeks and 5 days at the time of the ultrasound but the tech said my baby was measuring a week bigger and was already 10+ ounces! So I either have a really big baby or I'm actually further along in my pregnancy, and instead of august 6th, they are moving my expected due date to august 1st! I am so excited, I can hardly wait until my baby kayla arrives ;D

My boys are from a previous relationship (highschool boyfriend/9yrs) and when I started taking my pre-reqs I was a single mom working fulltime and going to school part time. It was crazy! Then I met my hubby and he totally took not only me in but my children. He didn't have a great paying job either but we were able to make it so that I could quit my job and go to school full time as well. Then at the end of nursing school we found out that we were pregnant, it was such a blessing!! But also so stressful. In the past year my hubby got an awesome job but we had also bought a house, so we had way more bills. He never lets me know when he stresses because I am such a worry wart. But I could tell that a few months ago he began to stress cuz things were getting tight. And today is proof that everything has a way of working out!! I am so blessed!!! And so are you because it sounds like you have a wonderful hubby like mine!!! Ok, now that I have rambled about my life, hehe! Have a great night too! And seriously, I am here for you and words of inspiration because I have been there and things are not always easy, especially in school with a family but you will be successful :o)

I am so excited!!! This is such a huge accomplishment for me!! Not only have I waited very long for this day, but I was successful pregnant, hehe!!! You will do great too! And thanks for the sweet comment! If you ever need help, just ask I am here for ya!!!!

You are more than welcome. You're doing great! Whatever you do to get through the class and move on to more important things is a great move. I'm glad to hear you have the support of your brother during class. Congratulations on being so strong for yourself, your baby and your future.

surixxx - Wednesday, 25 June
It was well worth the money,We have many photos to show him when he is older and also a dvd of him moving! It was brilliant! Congratulations to you also.Do you know what your having at all?

I had an ultrasound during my 31st week of pregnancy and I was told that the baby was about 5 lbs. 4 oz. he said that weight was "normal" for someone who is about 34 weeks pregnant - but put me in the 80th or so percentile for weight as I was only 31 weeks pregnant. Hope that helps put things into prospective....

AndreaB - Wednesday, 25 June
My baby measures only 4 lbs 2 oz. and I am thrilled (she was 2lbs 12 oz 4 weeks ago). Your little one sounds great to me! My gestational high blood pressure contributed to her low weight, now that is managed and she's growing. Unless your Dr. told you he/she's concerned DON'T WORRY. Just kick butt in your class! How did the big meeting go?

rosie08 - Wednesday, 25 June
My baby is weighing in @ 4 lb 11oz...the dr said she will gain about an oz a day from now on

Hi
How r u in week 34?

emmaflower987 - Tuesday, 24 June
Hey! Im from week 18 but i was reading the info and posts for my weeks to come and when i read your post about your teacher i felt SOO bad for you... When i found out i was pregnant i decided to take some time off.. my due date is November 23, 2008 and i am either going to go back at spring semester '09 or wait until summer... I havent decided yet... I have so much respect for you that you decided to stay in school during your pregnancy.. i wish i had done that, but i was also considering changing my major and that is another reason i decided to take some time off and decide what i want to do... Anyways, it sounds to me that you are doing well in the class and the teacher is just a meany-head (lol) BUT i deffentally think you should stay in the class JUST TO PROVE to her that you CAN do this even though she put you through hell! Good luck with everything and i hope this was helpful!

hcorreia - Tuesday, 24 June
I read you comment today about your teacher and I would like to know how much longer you have with this course? We have about a little over 5 weeks left until our babies are coming and if you can get through the class, I would stay and suck it up. I wouldn't give that witch the satisfaction of giving in to her. She probably wants that from you. You obviously are passing the class so if you can get passed her rudeness, I say, hang in there!!

AndreaB - Tuesday, 24 June
I think you can handle her. If you can ace tests while pregnant, you get my vote, not her! Good luck and - as I used to tell myself in law school while working full time - CHARGE!!! Be proud of yourself.

shilah - Monday, 23 June
Im sorry to hear about your teacher, what a jerk If I were you I would try talking to her before or after class. Tell her how you feel and see what she says it cant hurt. Good Luck

tiffjoy - Monday, 23 June
Just read your post about school. I just finished nursing school a few months ago and was pregnant at the end, so I know how stressful it can be. Plus I am taking my boards very soon and will be pregnant so I have been stressing about that as well. However I want to get it done before my little one comes. Anyways, I think you should suck it up and get through it. It sounds like this teacher has personal issues of her own and you are better than that!! You don't want her to get the best of you, so smile and kill her with kindness!! Don't kiss her butt, but don't let her know she gets to you either, because that will just make it worse. You will be so proud of yourself to get thru this class rather than dropping it and then having to take it over once the baby comes. Which then you will be tired, stressed and emotional as well,lol.. So if you can hun, I would advise to keep going with a huge smile on your face knowing you are accomplishing your goals and even while pregnant!!!!!

MelisaK - Saturday, 31 May
I think the photo's are beautiful. And I don't think you are small....or big. I think about average. I am kind of impressed that you can still fit in your pre pregnancy clothes!

Thank you! Hearing your story makes me feel better also. I have had a hard time with this problem and even felt like leaving before in our relationship. I am commonly very emotional and he is the opposite. If your like me though, we feel better the next day or two later and realize it maybe wasn't such a great big deal. Even though at the time it seemed like the most horrible thing ever. If your husband is like mine, they definetely do feel defensive even if all we want to do is talk about something on our mind. And that turns into fighting :( I have also had ex's who were a lot more supportive and couldn't stand to see me cry. I guess that's not our husbands but we need to love them for all the other great things about them! Thanks for the comment about my daughter. :)
