July 7, 2007
Well, this is my first post, and I have to say I am excited about finally getting the time to do it! We found out this week we are having a little boy, and it has been so nice to read about everyone else's experience as well. I hope all of you, having boys and girls all have happy and healthy little ones. I am sort of nervous, as we decided to have the blood tests for birth defects this past week, and we find out Monday if everything is okay. This is my first pregnancy, so I am still a litte sad that I haven't felt complete movements, though I think today I have. It is still a little weird, and I am not one hundred percent sure that is what I am feeling. Funny enough sometimes, I think it is just gas.:)
Either way, I am truly excited, and we finally are planning the nursery! We are so excited to be havng a little boy, and I just pray that he is happy and healthy!
July 15-
It has been a couple of weeks now since I have added Comments to my page. I was sick all this past week, and didn't feel the baby move a lot. I think mostly because I was taking some medication that made me sleepy, so I am sure that it made him sleepy. I have been really emotional too this week, anyone else feeling that way? I think I just feel a little lonely this week. Most of my friends that have children are so busy these days, that it is hard to catch up with them, and the ones who dont have children never call much anymore. It's weird, not sure why. Plus I have to go on a business trip Monday morning, which are never fun!
On a lighter, we have done a lot in the nursery, and I ordered several pictures for the his wall. We have decided on the name Charles Alexander, and we are going to call him Charlie. My mother in law keeps calling him Alex, which is driving me crazy, even though I continue to tell her it is going to be Charlie. I bought the letters for his name this week to hang in his room. We have painted it green, which is unusual for a nursery, but it is actually called Sweat Pea, and the accents in his room are red and blue. The furniture is going to be black, and should be here this week! I am soo excited about that. When I come back in town we can go get it, and set up his room.
I hope all of you are feeling well, and having healthy babies! I can't wait to be in my 22nd week!

HI Everyone! I can't beleive it has been a whole month since I have updated my site. I did add some more pics a week or so ago, but I haven't written a whole lot. I have been a little nervous this week because I haven't felt a whole lot of movements. Monday I felt a kick or two, but nothing substantial. I thought maybe it was because I was tired. Then yesterday it was the same thing. One or two kicks and that was it. So this morning, I decided to do anything to make him move. I had pop tarts tons of ice water, no movement! I then drank 2 huge sodas for lunch to make him move because of the caffeine. Still no movements. So i called the doc back to tell them that it didn't work, and they told me to come in. I had an ultrasound, and of course everything is perfectly fine. he has moved though and is head down and face down, so that is one reason i Can't feel him. He has his back to my stomach so when he is moving mostly it is not something i can feel. Also I found out that I have an anterior placenta, which is another cause of feeling less movement. It muffles movements according to the sonographer. It was a lot of fun to get to see him today, and see his little body. he is getting much bigger and now weighs 2 lbs 2 oz. I am so excited. He is measuring at 27 weeks too instead of 26 weeks, which is fine with me, i am ready for him to come on, and get here! It really has gone by fairly fast though when I think about it. I was looking at some of the people starting out their preg, and they have like 250 days to go. Its nuts that we have all been through the most of it, and i have 97 days to go... I am really excited that my showers are coming up soon. I am having 2 i think one for friends given by friends, and one from my family and my husbands family. I can't wait to see all the stuff! I registered at Babies R Us last weekend, and I think I registered for most everythign that i need. I can't wait to get everything and see my little baby. I hope all of you are feeling good, and doing good. I have been pretty lucky with not much swelling except when I have been on my feet for hours at a time, and also I have not been plagued with heartburn. I am glad for that. I love the fact that this has been a great pregnancy. I am so wondering if i get preg again, what it will be like then? Anyway, have a great night!
November 9th:
Hi Everyone, It has been a while since i have updated my page. I Had little Charlie, and things have been nuts ever since. First of all here is what happened: Friday October 26th, I was laying in bed and thought I felt a gush of water. The next morning, I went to breakfast and leaned over to get something and thought I felt a gush again. So, my husband went to run errands and My mom took my to the hospital. At first they couldn't detect if it was my water or not, and i was already at 3 centimeters from the doctor the day before. When my doctor got there and checked my water on the ultrasound, I had 6 centimeters left, and sure enough I had a high leak in my placenta. My blood pressure had shot up to 150 over 95, so they broke the rest of my water and I dialated to 4. I dialated fast, and got to 8 Centimeters, and stayed there for hours. They called it failure to progress due to my last pelvic bone that wouldn't seperate, so I ended up having an emergency c-section. Then little Charlie was born at 4:37 AM on Sunday October 28th. He was 36 5 days, and he was born with premature lungs. He gave us a horrible scare, and was on a ventilator for a couple of days. After 10 days in the NICU though, he is finally at home with me. I am still recovering from my surgery, which hurts a lot! Charlie was 6 lbs 12 oz and was 20.5 inches long. He is now up to 7 lbs, as we had his first doctors appt post NICU today. That was horrible when he was there, and I was terrified the whole time. Anyway, my Charlie is precious, and I never imagined that I could ever love anything so much. I have posted some new pics on this site and I can't wait to see all your little ones. I have been out of commision and away from the computer since then, and I can't believe he is 12 days old!!!! It is nuts! Anyway, i hope you are all doing well, and def catch up with me!!!
