Hey everyone...I had my beautiful baby girl on March 31 of '08. She weighed 6'9 and is very healthy. I had a tough time due to my IC, but it's all over and she's here. It's crazy how I never thought of being a mom and now I know that's one of the reasons I was put on earth. She is the most precious person in my life and I cannot imagine life without her.

I have been on bed-rest for a month now and have almost 3 more to go (I am 28 wks 4 days)... I feel like everyone knows I'm supposed to be on bed-rest so when I try to be bad and doing something I'm not supposed to, everyone's like, 'Sit down, let me get that...' Sometimes I just want to do something for myself... it's frustrating... I guess it's all for the better, but it's very difficult to do when you are 24 and very active...

Apparently we are on the same boat and visit the same forums! If I were you, I wouldn't worry about what your doctor says. Doctors have a great way of either making you really scared or calming you down. If you aren't having contractions you shouldn't worry. I have been 3 cm dilated for over a month and still no change in my cervix. I had my stitch removed at 35wks (this Thursday) and I doing just fine. I know everyone is different but doctors usually try to prepare you for the worst case scenario. In all of the reading that I have done on IC I haven't heard of arteris bursting. Some women do dilate and start ripping through the stitch but it can be fixed. If you start to feel any pain in your cervix, bleeding, or cramping/contractions just go to the hospital. Better safe than sorry. Here is a great website you should check out...http://groups.msn.com/IncompetentCervixSupport/welcome.msnw

Hey there. I just got off of bedrest on Thursday. I'm not sure what you are doing to keep busy but at the end of the day no matter how new something is, IT IS BORING! Can you go to someone else's house and just veg out there? Although you are still doing nothing it's a change in scenery. At the end of the day I think that's what it is. I missed out on all the holidays and spent New Year's in the hospital. Yes it's VERY annoying the minute you move having someone jump down your back telling you to go back to your vegetative state. Definitely check w/ your doctor and see if you can do exercises. I feel like my body has turned to mush. Another thing you might want to try is a little photo shoot. I looked up some pregnancy websites online and copied some of the poses and attire. 'Portraits' came out pretty nice...lol. You can definitely kill a few hours doing that.
