i'm 26, living in sunny south africa and looking so, so forward to our little munchkin getting here!! we'd been trying for two years, and were starting to think one of us might be broken, hehe! i've wanted this more than anything for what feels like ages and even with all the aches and pains every step of the way is worth it :)
20/01/08-well we've made it to 16 weeks with only one big hurdle (spending the night in hospital on my best friends wedding) feeling loads of flutters and our sonar on friday was possibly the cutest thing i have ever seen, munchkin was thumb sucking and moving around all over the place! can't wait to find out what we're having, just going to have to wait till our next appointment to find out...

15/03/08 - IT'S A GIRL!!!!!
15/06/08 - so hard to believe i only have a week and a day to go before little mikayela tania is here! going for my last dr's appointment on thursday and then he'll confirm the date of the c-section, for now it looks like 23 June! so hard to believe how quickly the time has gone by... nerves are definately starting to rattle, but i can't wait to be holding her in my arms!
19/06/08 - eeeek... had my last appoinment today and c-sec has been moved up to sunday, 22 at 5am! still nervous as can be but yay, our little angel is almost here :)

:O) Yes, when I am laying on the couch the pucg gets up and puts her paws around my belly. Reallt quite cute. Like she is saying she wil love Kasen too.

ive got major swelling in my hands and feet..... :( my shoes dont fit me anymore and neither do my rings.....but dont worry....it will all go away once we give birth.....im a first time mom too and everyone keeps on telling me not to worry.....the key is to keep on drinking loads of water......good luck ;)

the baby moved right after my glucose test (that stuff messed me up) I don't have GD though, my baby turned transverse and I was extremely uncomfortable I felt nauseated for a few days. She was so funny she kinda liked being up there and cradled she would almost jump like on a trampoline and her head would bounce out the other side of my belly. She finally rotated after a few days of me massaging my belly in the direction I wanted her to go. Right before she had went transverse I was seeing a high risk cardiologist and she did a quick peek on a u/s and she was so far down squished against my cervix like she wanted to come out, the doc laughed at ther position and told me she still had plenty of room to move around. I didn't want her to cause she was in the birthing position but shortly after is when she signed up for acrobats and went crazy...lol

Thanks for the msg. Wow how lovely to live in S.Africa. I have wanted to visit. I am from Los Angeles, California - where it is not so pretty. Yes, I would very much like to plan when my son comes. I just think the stress of waiting and then making sure my partner is there in time. That would just be too much stress. It is stressful enough going through this w/life happening around you. My cousin had a c-section and was up the next day feeding her daughter, cleaning house and being a mom. A client of mine his wife had 5 c-sections and did not have any complications and said she would do it again. Less stress on her and the baby. So I am leaning this way, I just know that losing the tummy will be hard due to the loss of strength in your stomach muscles but I am sure just like anything, you can gain it back. I was never a size 4 to start with so, I guess I shouldn't be that upset. Some of the girls on here worry more about their weight than the baby they are carrying. They don't even look pregnant. I would be so sad if that were me. I look pregnant and feel pregnant, and I am happy. So then my baby is happy. It was a pleasure hearing from you. Congratulations on your daughter. We wanted a girl but G-d felt it would be better for us to have a boy, and I am thrilled. Hopefully, next time we will have a girl.

Hey...just wanted to say you might want to eat a candy bar (something chocolate). The tech told me to do that because we couldn't see our baby's sex at the first u/s. It worked!! She moved all over once I had eaten a candy bar about 30 minutes before u/s! We were able to see that we're having a little girl...Emma Grace! Good luck to you!!

I myself have ADHD and the father has a slight case of ADD. I was a sweet baby until I turned 3 and then I became a fury of a child. I am only hoping my little girl won't be like that. On the upside, a lot of people with ADD/ADHD are rather brilliant people. My husband has a PHD, we speak five langauges between us, his parents are all professors (Harvard, Yale), I graduated magna cum laude, and some of the most incredible minds (e.g. Einstein) had a form of ADD/ADHD. Let's hope if we get little monsters they at least get some of the savant features along with it :) By the way, unlike kids with ADHD, children with ADD can be incredibly calm and sweet. I guess we'll have to find out what the genetic lottery has provided for our offsprings. Good luck! :)

ibs thing i got it to.. nothing you can do pregnancy just mess it all up and i get a real sharp pain with gas and on the lft side .. if it gets real bad use a rectal supossiotry to clean out or .. may suggest lying on the flooor on the side that doed hurt and shake your tummy up works for me .. they have a lot of wiggly room

I am having the same type of pains... I remember them from last time. It's odd and very frequent. I told the Dr. she said it was normal... She's the Dr! :)

Oh my! Your pup is sooo cute!! We wanted a rotti but our home owners insurance would drop us if they found out!! SOOO CUTE!!!
Oh and I wouldn't worry about watching a horror movie. I went to a haunted house when I was pregnant with my son. I was extra careful about falling or tripping but being scared is ok! araya-sunshine - Monday, 4 Feb
The 'jumping' when watching a scary movie isn't a big deal. I'd be more worried about your heart rate and blood pressure. The baby usually only get scared when they hear a really loud noise. I haven't had it happen with this baby yet but I remember it happening with my daughter. She jumped ski high or should I say ribs high? Anyway, if you typically have high blood pressure I would stay away from scary movies. Other wise, watch them and have lots of fun!

Haha...so you know what the swift kick or punch feels like!!! I was so shocked at the strength!! Later on today, the baby decided my bladder was his/her waterbed and kept rolling over on it...I finally started poking trying to get him/her to move...only succeeded when I got up to go eat!! hey hunny... same here, been feeling the baby move loads, not as much as id like but he/she is still quite active. 3weeks till i find out what im having and i cant wait. im getting really impatient though as i wanna know now! lol. Glad you and your little one are doing great. As soon as you know what youre having, you let me know straight away xxxxxxxxx
