Well, I had my 37 week appt yesterday and it went well... nothing more going on with the cervix. Ethan is head down though, so that is good. Of course, I could have told them that, I feel like I have a head between my legs. I go on the 5th to have an ultrasound to size Ethan up and see exactly how big he is. I am just hoping that they say 6.5 to 7 lbs, lol! Of course as long as he is healthy I am good with that. My goal is to have the dr induce me next week after my appointment on the 9th. My insurance runs out on the 14th at midnight and the dr had already talked about it before. SOOOO... anyway, I am hoping. It would be best for all parties involved. And I will be 38 weeks plus a few days so, I dont see what it could hurt... but we will let the doctors decide that. Well, I will write more after my ultrasound... cant wait to see my baby boy!

Well, I had my doctors appointment today and all is well. The NST test looked good and Ethan is growing... The doctor has started talking about inducing me around 37 weeks and I am ecstatic about that. I know that the longer he stays in there the healthier he will be, but I am just plain exhausted anymore. Call me selfish or whatever but I cant help it. With the GD its just miserable. So, in as little as 2 weeks I could see Ethan but I have a feeling it will be the week of June 9th. Maybe I will find out more next week... Yep, I am going weekly now. Lets see... I am 1cm dialated... and that is about it... so anyway, until next week!

Gee, its been awhile since I've written. It seems that my life is just flying by now. I'm going to see the GD doctor every week and my OB every 2 weeks... well until the 20th and then I start going every week... Ethan is getting big but I am measuring right on target, so that makes me happy. I just feel like I am exhausted all the time but I am definately nesting now... I cant stop cleaning. And that is so not like me, lol! I have been so worried about not getting things done but now things seem to be just falling into place, so I am extremely happy. I walked into a store yesterday that I had never been in and low and behold, there was my bedding set that I have been unable to find except for online, so I bought it! It was just as cute in person as it was online, so YAY me! That was the last big purchase that we needed to make but I wasnt too concerned since Ethan will be sleeping in a cradle next to our bed for the first week or so...

Anyway, things are good and I have been on Glyburide for the GD. It seems to be going ok but its hard to deal with daily.

Well, I have to go back to work now, but I will update again after the 20th. I am hoping that at that appointment I will be told that they are going to induce the week of June 8th... lol! We shall see! Baby dust to all!

Well, its Monday and that means this is my last day in week 29, YAY!

I believe that I have started the nesting phase now... I am panicing and rushing and cleaning like crazy. I feel like I am never going to have everything ready for when the baby comes so I just never stop. Which is good cause I get my exercise in but at the same time, my feet tend to swell really bad.

Went to visit my mom and had that new CHI product put on my hair to make it more managable til baby gets here. And since my shower is on the 26th, mom took me shopping for the stroller travel system I wanted and we purchased a very nice graco one. I love it! And that made me feel better because thats one less item at $229 that I have to purchase. I was starting to feel like I wouldnt have enough money to get everything but I am doing better now.

Well, it has been a while since I have updated this page so, lets see... On March 27th, I went back to my doctors to do the 3 hour Glucose exam... That stuff was nasty! On Sunday March 30, I was having some major cramping and pressure going on so I rested most of the day. On Monday March 31, I had terrible constipation (sorry for the TMI) and large bowel movements and became concerned so to the ER we went... Dr didnt really seem to think anything was wrong and that it was normal. I wasnt dialated or having contractions so home we went. On Tuesday April 1st I got a call from the Diabetes Center telling me that my doctor called them and referred me to them because of my Gestational Diabetes... nice of my doctor to tell me first. So of course I was terrified! Had an appt with the Diabetes Center on Wednesday April 2nd... So, now I have to check my blood 4 times a day and pee on a keytones stick every morning. Loads of fun. My fingers are sore as can be. Then yesterday, April 7th, I had an appointment with my OB doc... we are going every two weeks from now on until week 34. Dr. Davis is wonderful and just informed me of what takes place with the diabetes and what happens if they cant control it with my diet... Other than that, he says everything looks great and that they will do another ultrasound around week 34-36 to determine if Ethan has changed from his earlier breech position and to see how big he is, because they may have to do a c-section if he is too big. Then this morning I had another appointment with the Diabetes Center, where they covered what to do after the baby is born and went over my sugars for the past week and weighed me. Now I just have to fax my sugars to them weekly. YAY!. Shewwww... now, I am finally caught up. On the other side of things, I am really starting to freak out about being a mom and having things ready for when he is born. Going to my OB yesterday made me realize this pregnancy is just about over. He was asking questions like, do you have a peditrician in mind, do want Ethan circumcized, are you going to bottlefeed or breastfeed...? Gee this will be hear soon... I mean we are almost half way thru the month of April... WOW! Well, I could go on and on but I am at work... so I have another appointment on the 21st of April and I will post again. Well, I called the doctor yesterday to see if I could get in earlier than the 1st of April because I was having this strong pain in my upper back on my left side so they told me to just come on in. And too my surprise, I found out that the kidneys are there... I thought the kidneys were lower, guess that shows you that I never went to medical school. Anyway, she said that everything looked fine, no kidney stones or blood in the urine. The only explanation is that Ethan is pushing up against a nerve that goes up that way. That tends to be their response for everything when they dont know. Sometimes that is irrating. Then she said, lets just go ahead and do your glucose while you are here... I thought you had to fast, is what I said to her, and she said no... So, I am awaiting the results today... I really would have preferred to fast, lol... I dont think the peanut butter filled chocolate bunny I had earlier that morning was going to help with my glucose levels, lol! So, I bet I end up back in the office for the 3 hour one. Even the little girl drawing my blood said that people who do the afternoon one normally fail and have to come back for the 3 hour one... oh well, maybe I will be one of the lucky ones. Well, now I am going to the doctor every two weeks... so April 7th is my next appointment... this just seems to be moving quickly now. Before I know, Ethan will be here and that makes me really nervous.

I went to visit my family over Easter and had to change the Emma's (my 3 month old niece) diaper. I am so in need of practice, which I am sure that Ethan will give me plenty of. I'm just so afraid of hurting him or forgetting to feed him or not hearing him cry... I hope this is all normal for new moms cause its getting more stressful everyday.

Uhm... Lets see, I was suppose to go this morning for my 26th week glucose testing and dr. appt but our road was flooded so I had to cancel and reschedule... talk about starved.. I couldnt eat after midnight and was awake at 5am... sucks... So, anyway, rescheduled for April 1st at 8:30am... hopefully there will be no flash flooding, lol. Ethan seems to be doing just fine.. his little kicks are becoming harder and harder and there are sometimes that I say, "Ethan, please stop." then I feel guilty and say, "Don't stop just try not to hurt mommy..." I love him though and I love knowing that he is doing great in his temporary home. Its hard to believe that he will be here in 13 weeks or less... I mean when you think about it... 13 weeks puts us at 40 weeks but he will be considered full term at 37 weeks soooo... that means he could come in 9 to 13 weeks... Oooo thats scary, but I cant wait! I just want to see my Ethan and hold him and show him how much his mommy and daddy love him. Well, girls have to run to a meeting... Til next time, lots of Baby Dust to all!

Well, its Thursday and I have to say, "Thank goodness this week is just about over!" I dont know about the rest of you, but I just hate work lately. My mood sucks and and I am having trouble with indigestion, heartburn, and sleeping... I dont mean to be complaining but its all true. I love being pregnant, I do... I'm just uncomfortable lately. Ethan is kicking all the time now which is great, cause he likes to let me know he is doing fine in there... And you know, I can be in the worst mood but when he kicks its like my mood instantly changes. AND this weather we are having is not helping matters at all... I'm so ready for spring! Well, its official, I am now the proud owner of a minivan... I've never seen myself as a minivan driver but I guess your life changes when you get pregnant. We found a good deal and jumped on it, leather seats and all. Joe says all I need now is a soccer ball... please no, I hate soccer!!! I'm hoping for a basketball or football player, lol... but, whatever Ethan wants, Ethan will get... :) Well, back to work... baby dust to all!

We had our 22nd week doctors appt yesterday and all is well with little Ethan... Got put on a low sodium diet and gained like 8 lbs. The nurse told me not to be surprised if I gained 10 lbs by my next appt, YIKES! So, I guess that puts me at gaining a total of 14lbs so far... doc says thats right on track, so I guess I will trust him. I go back in 4 weeks and have to have a glucose test done then. Its hard to believe that not much longer and we will be in our third trimester. Joe and I have been working hard on the nursery but we have our moments of slowness... such as the paint fight yesterday, lol! But all in all its coming together just fine. Well, on Sunday February 17, 2008, Joe finally got to feel Ethan kick... He should have been able to feel him earlier than that but every time Joe would put his hand on my belly Ethan would move away and stop kicking, lol! But on Sunday that all changed. I think it really put things into perspective for Joe. He started on the baby's room FINALLY! I've only been begging since the end of January! He even got so excited about the crib that he put it together... It was amazing to see the look on his face as he felt Ethan kick once, twice, three times, etc... It was a moment I will never forget! Well, I have another doctors appointment tomorrow, so I will post more then. Baby dust to all!

I am so excited!!! I bought the crib today! I can't wait to get it home and set it up. We have searched and searched for a reasonably priced, yet sturdy crib and finally found one. And the nice thing is that its a 4 in 1 combo with an expensive look to it and I only paid $149 for it! YAY FOR ME! I had to order the changing table that matches it but its only $49 so thats not bad. Everything is starting to come together and I am so excited. Its a good thing too because I honestly think that Ethan is coming around the 1st part of June and not the latter. Maybe I am wrong but that is the feeling that I am getting.

Well, everything is good so far... had to go to doctor for swelling of the fingers and nose bleeds and that put me on a low sodium diet... sucks but I know its for a good purpose! Other than that all is well and Ethan is kicking up a storm. Ya know, its nice to call him Ethan and not baby or it, lol! Makes it all feel real... lol!

Well, just 7 days from being halfway thru the month of February... Is anyone else starting to freak out about how fast it all of sudden feels to be moving??? Before we know it June will be here and so will our bundles of joy. Ok, so I am freaking out a little and worrying about how in the world I am going to have everything ready for the baby and if Joe and I are ready to care for this baby. I'm trying to remain calm, but it is hard. People tell me not to buy this and that because I may get it at my shower, but what about if I dont?! Then I am left with having to go out and buy it... But will I have the money then to do that??? What happens if I dont??? See what I mean, I am freaking out! I did however interview a pediatrician yesterday and I must say that I am very pleased with the first one I chose to interview. The office was clean and set up nicely, the staff was more than nice. And the Doctor was more than willing to answer any and all questions that I may have. Our appointment was at 4:30 and they took us back on time and we only had to wait for the dr about 5 minutes before he came in and greeted us. By the time I was done asking questions we had been there for about an hour and he would have stayed and talked to us for as long as needed. Which I felt comfortable with. We were his main concern at that moment in time and that is the way I want our pediatrician to be with my child. When he walks into our room his concern and focus should be on Ethan Turner not the 30 other kids waiting in the lobby (of course I am over exaggerating, but you get my drift). So, I dont know if I will interview more or not. So that is one less thing to worry about. I guess this is all normal, but I swear I feel like I am all alone in this. Joe finally opened up a little and he is worrying too... He worries about us not hearing the baby in the middle of the night, SIDS, etc... I worry that I am going to forget to feed the baby... Lord, I feel like I am going crazy! Well, I will try to post again when I feel a little more sane... Baby Dust!

Well, Its official... It's a boy! We are expecting our little Ethan James... There was no mistaking it, its little thingy was right there and he was willing to share, lol! I had had a little talk with him that morning telling him that he needed to be nice and let us see... and he did. What a good boy, lol! Well, I am too ecstatic to stay on this computer! ok, lets just say that I am overly excited! One week and one day and hopefully I will know if my little one is a girl or boy. I cant wait! My luck they will keep their little legs crossed, lol! I just cant wait, especially now that they can hear me... I talk to them all the time! I know, Im being silly, but I cant help it. I want them to know just how loved they are! (I'm using them because we still dont know... but there is only one!)Anyway, things are well here... Back is starting to hurt and belly seems to be popping out more and more over each night. I'm just waiting for that one morning that I cant reach down and put my socks on...lol! Thank goodness that flip flop weather will be here soon. I got my doppler and I just love it! Every morning and every night before I get out of the bed I listen patiently for that little heartbeat. It puts the biggest smile on my face and warms my heart. What a way to start and end my days! Well, back to work I have to go... so baby dust to all and I will post again on the 24th!

Well, after a week of worrying with all the spotting (I would start spotting for an hour or two every morning then stop), we have come to the conclusion that my cervix was irritated during sex AND that I had a slight vaginal infection. But all is now well. I have started feeling baby move more and more each day... I thought I had felt him/her earlier and still believe that I did but now it is a definate. I dont feel him/her all the time but s/he likes to let me know when they are awake on occasion, lol! Anyway, I go back to the doctor on January 24th for my 18-20 week ultrasound and I can not wait. I just hope that the baby is not shy and lets us know whether we are planning for that Ethan or Hannah. I think we are seeing lots of blue in the future, but that is just my thoughts. Either way is fine with me. We just want a healthy, happy baby. AND since that is the day before my birthday : ) I am hoping that baby Turner participates and gives me the best birthday present... Fingers are crossed (hoping legs are not, lol)! Well, baby dust to all and I will update after my next appt!

Oh My goodness, this has been one heck of a week... I had a dr appt Weds morning, got an Okay from Dr and heard heartbeat. Later that day ended up in ER with spotting, ER dr was a jerk and basically walked in and told me its a threatened miscarriage and walked out. Didnt even check the baby or see if he could hear a heartbeat until my BF yelled at him and then he had a nurse use the doppler (after the nurse suggested it) He wanted me to just leave and wait to see my dr the next day... talk about the stress that would have caused, but finally I got a little peace and we heard the very strong heartbeat. Then I followed up with my dr yesterday and everything was fine... in fact the baby was actually a week larger and they moved my due date up a week... Dr said that it was our 'nooner' that caused the spotting.. lol. So, no sex for at least two weeks... Oh well! I am just happy that my baby is doing great! Baby Dust to all!

Well, its been a good week. I got our first baby gift on Christmas Eve... My aunt had a package labeled, "To my great niece or nephew, Love Aunt Teresa." Wasnt that adorable! So, baby Turner got a stuffed duck that makes duck noices when squeezed, a duck puppet teething blanky, and a duck hooded towel. Its all adorable! Every morning I wake up and I swear that I have grown at least an inch in the waist, lol! I know its in my head but sometimes I really wonder. Oh, I went to buy a dressy outfit to go to the orchestra in last night, well, I went to the maternity store and tried on this top that was black see thru material with a tank attached under it and it tied at the waist. I swear to you, that top made me look like I was 7 months pregnant and I am only right at 14 weeks! Needless to say, the top was not purchased... instead we went for this black sequence thing that makes me look like a big black shiny ball with legs, lol. I'll try to post a pic of it later. Anyway, all is well here and starting to really enjoy being pregnant! So, off I go... I will post again after my DR appt on the 2nd! Baby Dust!

Week 12, Yippee! I thought it would never get here, now its seems that time is flying by. Still picking up on my energy levels and noticed the large amount of peach fuzz growing beneath my belly button... lol! I am just starting to enjoy being pregnant. Still having some slight cramping and major mood swings but other than that, all is great! I just cant wait until the end of January to find out if I am having a little Ethan or a little Hannah! OF course either is fine but I am anxious! Well, Baby dust to all!

Well, I have made it to week 11 and am working on week 12. Have had more energy lately, well with the exception of yesterday, I slept ALL DAY! But, I guess it was needed. Have been feeling pretty good other than that... Having a difficult time understanding "daddy to be" lately... Sometimes I wonder if he really stops to think, if you know what I mean. I try really hard to think its my hormones, but sometimes its just really hard to do. Not really had to deal with MS maily just headaches... guess I can count that as a blessing... Good morning all! Well, I went for my second prenatal visit today and all is well. The dr couldnt hear the heartbeat with the doppler but did an ultrasound just to make me feel comfortable and it did... My little one was snoozing away as if he was in a recliner... but its heartbeat was strong and healthy, so momma is extremely happy. So 4 more weeks til my next appt... Baby dust to all!

Well, I will officially be 10 wks tomorrow and will start working on week 11... I've had a terrible cold that landed me in the ER on the 24th but I am much better and I did get to see my baby on the US again... Just moving around in there... It is truly amazing! I feel much better lately, not sleeping as much and seem to have picked up some energy, which is a good thing considering I have 3 wks til Christmas and have bought nothing!!! What shall I do, lol! I do have some news to share... my brother and his wife just had a baby girl yesterday (Emma Grace)... she was 5 wks early and is in NICU as a precaution but she is doing great at 4 lbs 12 oz. Also, My cousin just found out that she is pregnant and due exactly one month after me. So lots of babies in my family, lol!

Well, Joe and I have finally agreed on names... if its a girl, Hannah Marie... and if its a boy, Ethan James. I guess thats one argument that is finally over, lol! I have a feeling though that this baby is a Hannah Marie, lol! Guess I have to wait until the end of January to find out! Well, baby dust to all!

Well, its the day after Thanksgiving and I am exhausted and think I am coming down with a cold. All has gone well so far in my pregnancy, with the exception of some constipation. But, I think I have got that under control now, lol! Mood swings are at high mode right now... I feel b*tchy and whiny lately... I really feel bad for Joe cause he gets the brunt of it. Oh well, though I cant seem to help it. I am finally at 9 wks on Saturday and entering my last month of my first trimester. I am so excited! My belly keeps getting bigger and I swear I look like I am 5 mos preg. I will try to get a belly pic posted soon. I just wish that I didnt worry all the time about miscarrying... I will feel better at the end of this month... Will be in my 2nd trimester at Christmas... what a christmas present! And hopefully I will find out what I am having on my birthday in January... keeping my fingers crossed!!! Well, Baby dust to all!
