My weight gain has been right on track so i know its not something i'm doing wrong. I was only a 6lb baby and my husband was right at 7. My mother and grandmother both had babies that were 5lbs with their first and 6lbs with their second. So i think it kinda has to do with all that. Were you a small baby? I was shocked when they told me his size cuz my belly is huge! Has your weight gain been good?

jb1mama - Thursday, 14 August
I had a u/s done last friday and my baby only weighed 4lb 12oz and my doctor says she wants to keep a close eye on things but she doesnt think i'll have a baby bigger than 6lbs.

luckywhite - Thursday, 14 August
haha mums are the funniest just think when these babies are having their babies.. we will be banning them from going out after dark and buying baby clothes!!

yeah i think the reuseable novalty may wear off!! when the practicality kicks in.. hahah

i have been asked so many times to go over to canada - i need to do it.. apparently the weather is very much like it is here!!! rainy most of the time a ten min gap for some kind or hail, snow or a variation in rain.. then more rain..

haha americans are canadian are like chalk and cheese arnt they - find faults with each other regardless!!
is that your wedding picture on your profile?? Indian ladies are just soooo glamourous!! you look amazing!! x

luckywhite - Thursday, 14 August
aw yeah totally supersticious.. i think its the forboding thought like what is something goes worng and your house is full of baby stuff - my mum always says 'dont temp providence' i have yet to find out what this 'providence is' . And the thing with the pram i dunno i dont see the real point in it but i still wont have it in the house before the baby comes home - again its something to do with never getting to fill it.. im making the scottish sound like proper doom mongers!!

ive never used the reuseable nappies before - but my friend did for his baby and i think as long as you get into a routine then its fine..i hate being wasteful and i just think all that plastic is horrific and the cost also is so high.. cause this baby is going to be breastfed tho i can see the first few months as being a total nightmare - breastfed baby poop is soooo runny it gets everywhere.. but i think it will be worth it in the long run.

how do you like canada , my brother is a citizen there he lives over in vancouver tho, he will never be back here!! x

luckywhite - Thursday, 14 August
ive not bought one thing yet.. cause im scottish its believed to be totally bad luck to have anything in the house at all for the baby until it is nearly here.. and its just not the done thing to have the pram in the house before the baby - its meant to be like a bad omen or something... when you tell people its sounds pathetic!!.. i have nothing from when i had harry except a designer change bag. ill be getting a new pram and crib and stuff.. but doing it soo minimalist this time- i felt i had far too much baby stuff and so much is unneccesary and takes up too much room that my list will be

crib
pram
bounce seat
reuseable nappies
baby bath and toiletries

other than that i will get a pack of vests and a pack of babygrows (onsies) and an all in one to leave the hospital and thats it.. everyone buys new babies outfits and you end up with far too much !!! xx

kitty08 - Wednesday, 13 August

MrsSoller - Tuesday, 12 August
Honestly, I t hink the wipes might be okay. I worked at a day care, and we would mix water.. and maybe just a splash of bleach.. maybe a little more.... but we would spray it on the kids toothbrushes to clean them.... and that was safe....but i think you could google " cleaning products safe for baby " Good luck

angelag3girls - Tuesday, 12 August
No problem. I am on my 4th child so I have already had the chance to learn from others and through my own. So far so good. I have an appt. this morning and hope to find out he is head down. I know something has changed the past few days but can't put my finger on it. Congrats with your first. I hope things are going well for you too. If you have any other questions feel free to ask. No question is stupid!!

luckywhite - Tuesday, 12 August
we are really good.. getting bigger as the day goes on really... i think steam cleaning would be good removes the dirt and germs but no chemicals! xxx

luckywhite - Tuesday, 12 August
you could hire one of those hand held steam cleaners to clean the baby stuff you bought??
xx

kitty08 - Tuesday, 12 August
i think he is on his way im cramping bad from the back to the front i need to hold out its my lads bday tomoz i want it to stop i might try a walk bout in a min to see if it goes but this is how it starts for me like a dull ache im not ready yet we have things to get and our cheque hasnt cleared yet in the bank so my partner is really panickin me too aswell lol

angelag3girls - Tuesday, 12 August
clorox wipes or lysol wipes will be fine. We used bleach water when I worked at a daycare to clean all the infant toys. I also used a bleach cleaner at home on all my used baby items. Once the cleaner dries it won't hurt anyone but if you wanted you could always use the wipe and then rewipe with just a washcloth and water.

kitty08 - Tuesday, 12 August
ive just left it and left it i dont seem to be prepared for any of this the last two times i was ready for 30 weeks n sat n waited about but i dont like all this rushing around at the last min its putting pressure on me n makin me feel a lil bit stressed

3rdtymeround - Thursday, 7 August
Glad to hear it. Mine like to freak me out once in a while like that too.

mommy1baby - Thursday, 24 July
I feel the same way!! LOL..I think "how is it possible that I am going to be holding this baby in my belly for another 8 weeks" I feel like if he was to sneeze or cough in my belly I would rip..hehehe...I am also soooooooooooooooooo excited to se my baby, but the closer we draw near to our due dates, I think it is no surprise we get anxious, I am too a little apprehensive about labour. I know I don't want a C-section, but what if I end up getting on, then I get scared that without an epidural I won't have enough energy to push my baby out, I worry I'll rip or they will need to cut me, But I keep telling myself, god has given me the ability to carry this baby and have him, so it must mean I can go through all the pain too, hopefully It'll be like Jessica Alba, how she siad it was like meditation..LOL...I am good, still working full time and drivnig 2 hrs. a day back and forth to work...LOL..I know crazy!!! I haven't had a good nights rest since week 30. I have a feelin git is only going to get worst..LOL.....How about you?? The baby is moving allot and growing so big!! The doc. said that I was measuring 2 weeks ahead, which is no concern they said, so who knows, I might be in labour 2 weeks sooner than I expected... How is your precious little angel, what is the name again, Tell me which is nicer.......Ayden Micheal Delgado or Ayden Matthew Delgado??

mommy1baby - Wednesday, 23 July
how are you hanging in?

klasnaya - Wednesday, 23 July
I honestly dont know. Stress can be a terrible thing and not worth the money. It depends on your stress level. Maybe cut back on hours?

topoftheworld - Tuesday, 22 July
THANKS A LOT FOR YOUR REPLAY... HAVE NICE TIME...

klasnaya - Saturday, 19 July
I dont know your finacial situation but it sounds like its a very stressful job and could hurt you. I mean all that stress is so unhealthy! you know when i gave up working at the nursing home we were scared and were wondering how we were gonna make it. I lost 2,000 a month quiting there. It was very stressful and i thought my God we are gonna have things taken away! And yes we kinda did sink for a bit but now i found a diffrent job we are ok. But if you can do it without your pay i would listen to your hubby. Its not worth the stress. I mean when baby comes your not gonna have that income anyways. I had to work and still do to make it, and thank God my mother in law helped me job search. Its very flexible so i can still work a bit when i have the baby. I hope you the best and Good Luck with your decision!
