Great hearing from you!! No... my Dr hasnt said anything he just says that I can burn off the extra weight while breastfeeding. However, my medical books and family - whom are nurses tell me its unusual to gain so much at this point and wonder if I am just overeating (but I dont think I am at all) I have already complained so much about it that all I can do is hold on for the ride and worry about how I look later. As long as the baby is healthy then the gain should be fine. Glad we can share our stories. Be sure to keep in touch so we can lean on each other when the days get tough. You never know maybe the scale will slow down and our total gain wont be as much as we think it will be. Take care.

well, hopefully you will catch the fireworks at the blues fest. i had work all day today and then the inlaws for dinner, so im super tired! Gotta get the hubby to rub the ankles to help with the swelling and off to sleep. Only 1 thing gets easier towards the end, its getting closer to maternity leave time! yay a girl!! im glad she behaved for you!

Im delivering at st charles because my ob group doesnt go anywhere else. which is fine, they would like to see me go into labor on my own, but they are looking to induce me at 37w because of the meds im on. we went for our u/s at 29 weeks, if your little one is shy you get to stay longer and see him/her more, i got the gold package too, you have to cough, breathe, and roll side to side to annoy your little one to show their face. your baby is small enough now that it should be really easy to get some good shots in!

My hubby and I actually moved here 4 years ago from wading river and shirley. i found this site through a friend who rather than people asking her everyday how she feels, directed them to check the website because she knew after a while she would want to drop kick someone if she heard that question again. I went the that place in east meadow, Impact something or other.... theyre great, thats where i got my 3d/4d u/s pics. dont forget to print out the online coupon from their website, it saves you on tax basically. we are having a girl too, Riley, we dont have a middle name picked out yet.

Hi! I get so excited when i just see someone here from new york, I had no idea anyone from here knew about this site! Congrats on the pregnancy! Do you know what youre having or is everything a surprise?

Wow, that's some move distance wise--but I do love it out east. I still wish we lived further out but the commute into queens where we work would just be killer especially with gas prices. I like the diner in Williston Park:) So, are you recovering from shower trauma yet? I have somebody else’s shower that I have to go to next week, and as much as I'm tempted to regift everything I don't want (kidding--kind of) it's making me really conscious of how important it is to the expectant mommy to get what she wants off her registry. Otherwise, if you buy her something else it's almost like telling her, "I know better than you about what you need," and it's really rude.

Thanks! I'll be keeping in touch!

I was reading your comment in the weight forum. I also lost from 225 to 173 before I got pregnant. Now, I'm 14 weeks tomorrow and have already gained 11 lbs. I'm so stressed out about it! I feel like I've lost control. I use to stay on a strict diet and NEVER ate over 1500 calories a day. Now I have to eat every two hours or I feel awful. I try to pick healthy snacks but it's not helping. Also, I use to walk 2 miles a day and do some yoga. Not only am I tried from being pregnant, our work hours have changed to 10 hour days. I just don't feel like working out eventhough I KNOW I should. Today a lady at work said my butt was getting big then another chimed in and said it was big to begin with. My self-esteem is at an all time low! I guess I just needed to vent to someone who could relate in some way. Thanks for letting me rant.

yes it's b/c you're big and uncomfortable - it's pretty miserable - I was so big with my first I could sit a drink on my belly and it would stay like a table - I also couldn't get up off the couch by my self - can you imagine? A lot of people like to get the shower over with b/f they get to that point which who knows maybe you won't -- take care!

Hi! Please remember that as far as advice goes on registering I only have 1 child so I am by no means the expert. Given that I would have your shower soon b/f you feel to bad. The last month is very difficult. But you might want to have it later just in case you move. It's really a personal decision. Anyway, take care! Alicia

i want to get one soooo bad, but my husband thinks that they are creepy looking. I keep showing him the ones other peolpe put on here. I dont think I will win this battle. He can handle regular ultra sounds but not these. WHo know maybe Ill jujst get one an not tell him. OR I can wait the few months to see what our lil one looks like

We are having a boy!!! We are so excited! We are naming him Cameron Michael. What about you? Girl or Boy?

mommyky - Friday, 11 July
That is a lil bit of a pickle you got there witht he names being sooo close. I think that the creative spelling is a cool idea because it is differnt. And just wondering your 3D scan was only $100?? I thought they would have been way more. Ill def have to check that out for sure!

I feel horrible. I have already gained 45 pounds. I'm hudge. Also, I have GD and I'm anemic but the good news is that the baby is fine - and my situation is only temporary. But ever though I feel bad I'm still super excited. Ya!! No, this isn't my first - it's my second. I have a 6 year old boy and another boy on the way. Yes, I've done the baby room in Pooh Bear. I also had to decorate my 6 year olds room so he doesn't feel left out. It's Camo! He is so excited. Yes, I registered at Baby's r Us online. It's great b/c I didn't have to go in there and people can go online to buy stuff. I really don't need much, however, since this is my second boy. It was overwhelming to me my first time registering as well. I remember picking random crap out b/c I didn't know what I needed. If you have any questions just let me know. I am not an expert by any means but I always thought it was nice to get different peoples opinions. Although, come to find out that everybody has a different way of doing things. Also, you can look up items at amazon.com and at the bottom it tells you what people think of it b/f you buy it. Then you can go and register for it. Oh, speaking of it being humid - it's 95 degrees with 100% humidity so do you feel better about being up North? Good luck selling the house - we just bought a new house 2 months ago. FYI my spelling it aweful so please excuse me if I misspell something remember math teacher not English LOL. Take care!!!

babynuge - Thursday, 10 July
I had mine done last night. He used a cap so it wasnt directly on my scalp. My dr said it is fine and we are well out of our first trimester. I read where dying is more harmful b/c the chemicals are actually rubbed into scalp. If your dr said its ok, then you should be fine.
