My profile

I have a 13 year old daughter and a 10 year old daughter. I have been remarried for 2 1/2 years and had tubal reversal surgery in January of 2007. The surgeon was only able to repair my right tube and the length was only 5 cm. After an entire year of trying to conceive, we finally got our positve pregnancy test february 1, 2008.

I have been visiting this site and reading all of the comments for my week since the day I found out I was pregnant, so feel like I already "know" the ladies in my week. So I finally decided to convert from being a "lurker" to a participator. I can't wait to post belly pictures as that is my favorite thing to do is compare my belly to everyone elses! lol.

Even though this is my 3rd child, I feel like I'm doing this again for the first time since it's been 11 years since I was pregnant last!

How`s my pregnancy doing?

Hi, I'm new here and wanted to congratulate you on your TR and pregnancy. I am having a TR on July 1st and hope we are successful at TTC. How long did it take to get your BFP?

KarenVG - Thursday, 22 May
great news of the tubal reversal...I saw your name in week 19 at the top! My Kids are a result of vasectomy reversals my hubbie had a reversal and we had #1 and then it either broke or got clogged so he had another reversal!!!! We thought we had lost the second reversal due to trying for a 3rd and it never happened so we were set in the comfort zone of two being our family and SUPRISE! I am now expecting the third and final family member! It makes them special! Hope you have a great pregnancy and Congrats!

Hi, read your blog about BH contractions. Yes, about the twenith week your body will start getting prepaired with contractions. Make sure you keep up on water intake and you will experience less. Fluid intake has alot to do with the false contractions. I expereinced some not too long ago, I downed 16 oz of water and that seemed to help right away. Good luck to you.

I feel like i have my period constantly. I called the doctor and they said as long as I'm not having any discharge (so gross I know) or bleeding than I should be fine. It never hurts to give them a call. They are use to it. I hate calling because I feel like I'm nagging, but it helps to set your mind at ease.

Hey, just responding to your post... I am crampy at times as well. And I have pressure depending on where the baby is. But definately call your doctor for your own piece of mind. I called, all they will say is that's it's normal or make an appointment to see you if they are concerned. Good luck. Let me know.

Here is a thought or two for your RE: cramping and feeling like you have to go... The baby could be resting against your bowels, putting strain on them thus also preventing proper movement of your 'give aways' aka poop and gas which is why you are a: cramping and b:feeling like you have to poop. That was the first thing I thought of when I read your post and if the baby is relaxing in that area it is likely you won't be able to feel him/her kicking around either.
Hope this helps you out... but if your worries are getting the best of you why not call the ER or your doc?
No harm there.. they're used to crazy preggo women ;)

Cramping is normal, but if you are worried call your dr. and go in to ease your mind there is no sense in worrying about it.

Courtney H.ItaliaBrit - Wednesday, 14 May
cramping is normal! I felt the same thing yesterday.I was like hmm I have to POOOOP lol..But i was standing a lot yesterday which gave me some lower back pain and im assuming it put a strain on my butt too..If you start bleeding then call the doctor.

My OB also told me it was okay to take Zantac. In fact, he prescribed it for me. He said if I took it with benadryl it would also help the nausea. I am thankful the nausea is gone!! Take care.

ericankyle - Thursday, 8 May
Hey! My doctor told me that Zantac was fine as well. I took it for a bit, but found mine had actually gotten worse if I forgot to take it on time. Hope ur feeling well...

Hey!
Your family has the feminie gene huh!! I guess that would be tough because you know and are confortable with a girl - but a boy is so new and unknown, but that may be great too!! Isn't it great that we can't pick and its out of our control?! Its probably a good thing that we can't pick and it leaves so many things to chance... At least I'm glad I can't pick! I don't want that responsibility!!
It sure does sound like you keep busy! Your girls will look back one day and thank you for that! I know as I got older I realized what my parents did for me and how they did it so selflessly while I'm sure we acted like brats! ha So now we get our turn!!
I'm sure May 12th cant come quick enough for you!! I will be a couple days behind you! I think alot will change once you know...
Have a great day!
Kris

Hi!
Thank you! It really helps me to know that others are dealing with the same thing! I have a friend that is due 2 weeks after me and she was pretty thin to start with. By month 2 for her she had already gained 15 pounds and has kept on going. My mom and everyone is like - here is your chance to eat whatever you want and not feel guilty! I just don't care to do that since that is what I'm used to doing anyways. But I think since I am a grazer and eat ALOT of small meals my body is used to that and I can't gorge myself at any one sitting like other people do... Plus I stay active as I can imagine you do with 2 daughters at that age! I'm sure they keep you busy running around to all of their hobbies/sports and school stuff. Are you hoping for a boy this time around? Are you going to find out? We will on May 15th. It really doesn't matter what ours is...
Have a great day and thank you for your support!
Kris

I can't fit anything that I could fit last week either...lol!!! I feel little pokes here and there from my baby...i can't wait to find out the sex of the baby next month....Once again congrats and many blesssings to come!!!!

sparklyval - Tuesday, 15 April
Congratulations on your pregnancy. I am also expecting my 3rd baby although I have a smaller gap between mine than you do. I thought I could feel the baby moving about over a week ago, but then last Friday (14 weeks plus 2 days) I could feel very strong movements for a long time that my husband was able to feel when he put his hand on my tummy. I haven't had anything so strong since, but I have picked up on the odd little movement since. It is great isn't it!

picklesmom - Monday, 14 April
I've felt my baby move for a over a week now, the 1st time i felt it move was a very strong and now it's subtle poking and twinging here and there, but it definitly happens everyday!! SOO exciting! This is my 2 nd baby after over 10 yrs as well--feels like the 1st time!
Good luck to you!

jenmitch - Monday, 14 April
At 12- 13 weeks I knew I could feel movement. I too waited a decade before having any more children, it feels like I forgot what pregnancy was like. Congrats to your and you family.

Congratulations on your pregnancy.

I too had a tubal reversal but it was in June 2004 after having my tubes tied since 1999. We had to wait the usual 6 weeks before trying which made it the end of July. Got pregnant on the first try with my now almost 3 year old daughter, Mallory.

We are now expecting another and am currently 13 1/2 weeks.

Just thought it was great to find another mommy-2-be that had a reversal.

Congratulations again!!!
