I'm 23 years of age and I got married to my hubby last year at 22 years of age. We are now expecting our first child who will come into this world before my husband and I's one year anniversary. We wanted to start a family as soon as we got married. Yet I was still surprised when i got pregnant only 3 months into the marriage. Needless to say we both are extremely happy to meet our lil one soon. We wanted this child to be a surprise so we have no idea the sex, which to us will make the birth even more special. Well dats a lil info on me and I would like to wish all preggos, mommys-to-be all the best with their pregnancy and delivery!!!!!

October 5 - I had a doctor's appointment today but i didnt learn that I was dilated or effaced so to me the appointment was a disappointment. i'm anxious to get an estimate of when the baby may be here. So far no contractions, swelling, back pain or anything. Havent yet lost my mucous plug. Seems like the baby is enjoying its stay in the womb lol. Hopefully when i go this friday to the appointment I will be told that i'm dilated somewhat and effaced. I won't be too disappointed or worried if i'm not because I don't really want to be induced. I want the baby to come when it's ready. I just hope it will be ready in the next week and a half and not have me and its daddy waiting too long for its arrival. Will give update after next appointment.

October 12 - Well the morning of the doctor appt I woke up bleeding heavily and started having contractions so my husband and I decided to go into the doctor early. However, it still took me forever to be seen by the doctor but when I did she wanted me to go to Labor & Delivery to be monitored. We ended up staying at Labor & Delivery for 3 hrs before they decided that I could return home. I was told that If the bleeding continued, my water broke or the contractions got any closer together that I should return immediately to L&D

October 19 - I had my baby boy at 11:20 a.m. after 9 hrs of active labor. He was 7lbs 3 oz. We are now home and i'm enjoying taking care of him and being with him every minute of the day. I feel so blessed to have such a healthy, handsome and wonderful son
