Funny how when you stop trying

so hard you get pregnant!

This is our 2nd pregnancy.

Our first ended between 6 and 7 weeks last June.

We are keeping our fingers crossed things work out differently this time around!

First visit with the OB: May 16th (see my blog for details)

May 30th got to listen to the heartbeat!!

First time we got to see out little baby was at the ultrasound August 13th!!

Next visit with the OB August 22nd.

ah, maybe it's the Irish in him that I can see then! You are both lovely looking so yes I'm sure you're little one will grow up to be a "catch"!
I like all your names, of course I think the name Jo is a very cool name (ahem!!) so I'd probably say Jolene Giselle for a girl, for a boy I like Logan, it sounds like it matches a strong character....hmm...when I think of Logan I think of the old-school strong, silent-type actors like Gary Cooper or Paul Newman. Do you know what I mean??? Very handsome.
Please please ignore your families when it comes to names, I am a very calm and cheerful person but I think I would be very angry if my in-laws tried to criticize our name choices. I really don't understand what it has to do with anyone else apart from you and your husband. Pregnancy is weird, it's like suddenly everyone else has a say in everything we do or has some words of 'wisdom' to impart. To be honest I've had a few worries about people telling me how to do things or that I'm doing things wrong when baby comes along, I think I'll end up snapping at people if they don't let me do things my way!
oh well, we'll see!

ha ha, me too on the 'I look pregnant/I look fat' thing, It's really frustrating, I want to look big and blooming! Well, my boyfriend Will still hasn't really thought about names, my favourite name is Matilda (Tilly for short) with May as a middle name, Will quite likes this but keeps saying we should think of a few we like and then decide when we meet her what suits her most which I totally agree with, only he hasn't thought of any other names and I don't like any other names as much as Matilda! So who knows what will happen, to be honest I think Will is just happy that I finally agreed on giving the baby his second name (which still upsets me a little - not sharing the same surname as my baby, but nevermind). We have been together for 5 years and neither of us really want to get married so that's the kind of decision we have to make.
I know what you mean about Mothers driving you crazy...my Mum is really cool and relaxed but she has moved to Italy for retirement so I hardly ever see her, Will's mum on the other hand has moved from living 4 hours away to 10 minutes away! She is soooo excited, this is her first grandchild and she can't think about anything else, sometimes I think she is more excited than me!

Thinking of Lane Edwin Hayes. I know- its country (LOL) but Edwin is my dad's middle and Jason loves the name Lane. He won't get off of it!

Hi!
Just checking in to see how you're doing? Hows everything going with the baby? Did you have your scan? Did you find out the sex?
We had ours last Thursday and found out we are having a girl! Hooray! I went straight out and bought a teeny tiny dress, so gorgeous!
I can also definitely feel the baby now, as soon as I realised that what I was feeling was definitely the baby and not wind I started to notice it all the time and, in fact, she is kicking right now as I type!
The only thing that is annoying me is that my belly is still pretty small, only a very slight bump that could still be mistaken for fat.
