Funny how when you stop trying

so hard you get pregnant!

This is our 2nd pregnancy.

Our first ended between 6 and 7 weeks last June.

We are keeping our fingers crossed things work out differently this time around!

First visit with the OB: May 16th (see my blog for details)

May 30th got to listen to the heartbeat!!

First time we got to see out little baby was at the ultrasound August 13th!!

Next visit with the OB October 7th.

Hi I saw your Q about back pain. I'm at 26 wks, so just a little bit ahead of you now. I've been starting to get an ache int he low back too. As the weight in front gets heavier it pulls down in front and the spine curves more than usual. This changes all the joints around there, and the lower back muscles tense up to alleviate it. It's a drag! I found an article last week that I'm going to use to relieve my aches.I try and tuck in my pelvis, to the extent that I can, as much of the day as I can do it. Found an article last week about exercises that might help: http://www.spine-health.com/wellness/exercise/exercise-back-pain-during-pregnancy See if it helps you any. The biggest thing is posture though--If you can tuck your pelvis and de-arch your back a little bit throughout the day, it will take some stress off. Also, last pregnancy, I'd stand by with my hands on the kitchen counter and back up until I had my back straight, reaching forward, bent like an L at the hips for a good stretch. Or lean back against a wall and try to press the lower spine against the wall. These all stretch the back but also strengthen the abs, which are taking a beating!!

Hi 2b-

I'm also having my first birth in the hospital with doula going natural. The hospital has a shower in the room so, if needed I can use it but no birthing tub... I will bring a birth ball as well. Best of luck in your labor.

I JUST won them, Im super excited!! I havent been this excited about an Item for her in my whole life!!

With my son Lucas I has head over heals with some tigger outfit that I HAD TO HAVE... lol this is the same, but i think the shoes are WAY CUTER!
