January 9, 2008

Not quite sure what I am suppose to write in this section so I will just tell you a little bit about myself and our situation. I am 18 weeks 3 days pregant with my second child. I have a wonderful 4 year old son who is completely excited to have a brother or a sister come June. Even though says he prefers a brother. LOL

My partner is an absolutely awesome man and we are very excited to be pregant. He graduated from law school in May of last year. He is now working and studying very hard for his Texas bar exam which will take place in Feb.

He is originally from Texas so we moved here the beginning of November. I am originally from Minnesota and I have a very close family so it is a little hard being away from my support system.

We have an ultrasound appointment scheduled for January 17 and can hardly wait to find out the sex of the baby. Hopefully the baby will cooperate with us! I wish all of you the best of luck.

Jaunuary 17, 2008

Well we went for our ultrasound this morning. We are having a perfect baby girl. Everything is in the right spot and she has the correct number of extremities! Thank you God! I am so excited I can hardly stand it. I pretty much knew I was having a girl anyways but it is such a relief to find out everything looks normal. She also measure right on time. My four year old son isn't the happiest about having a sister but he will get used to it. Dareld and I are ecstatic! Good luck to all.

I feel horrible. .I am so ready to get her out and if shes not out on her own by monday they want to induce! :( I really wanted her to come on her own time so I am getting a bit edgy and nervous. Totally broke down and cried last night from being so uncomfortable bu I guess its the literal HOME STRETCH! Cant wait to have our babies :)

I think Jayleigh is a nice name, esp since you live in Texas now. It sounds very southern. I was born and raised in Texas and think it would fit in great there.
That is very sweet of you to honor your Grandfather. Sorry you can't make it to the funeral. Good luck!!

HppyMomToBeRS - Tuesday, 10 June
I know what you are saying about or other half family not liking stuff. I deal with that on a daily bases with my mother in law who I can not stand. When I mean I can not stand her I really mean it. She has been making my life hell from the beginning. You need to do what is best for you and if a name has great meaning to you then screw everyone else. Well two more days left until you have your little one. I have a personal queston for you if that is ok. when you used sex to try to move things along did it give you actual contraction or cramping. I have been doing that every day having sex and it does give me cramps but I dont know if cramping is actual contraction or does the belly have to be hard with the cramping. One doctor says yes the other says know they just say you will know when you are in labor. Da I know that. Will have good day and I am going to my daughters 8th grade graduation today. I can not belive she will be in high school next year. Have good day

Thanks for the prayers - we need all of them that we can get! Things are getting better though...Benjamin is helping out a lot by sleeping 5-6 hours at a stretch at night (I swear by really tight swaddling - it worked like a charm for his big sis, too!) - at least I can get 4-5 hours of rest at a time. Let me know if you make it to Thursday...I'm sure the waiting is just about killing you, huh? If you have time, please keep me updated and I'll do the same...my thoughts and prayers will be with you this week!

juliat - Tuesday, 10 June
oh very ready, i have a dr appt today so hopefully he tells me something good like... oh I see the head! I don't feel like I am progressing at all. I just know it is getting harder and harder to sleep at night. How are you doing?

Megan the lump maker - Tuesday, 10 June
I think that middle name is beautiful, and that he would be quite honored. I'm sorry for your loss.

juliat - Tuesday, 10 June
I think that is a really good idea to honor your grandfather like that. I think it sounds really pretty too.

amandajlane - Tuesday, 10 June

I think that na,e is speicail and had meaning

feltkoo23 - Tuesday, 10 June
I think that name is awesome. Its got a nice ring to it. If it sounds just as good with the first name, then go for it. The meaning behind the whole thing is what matters most. Good luck and best wishes.

HppyMomToBeRS - Tuesday, 10 June
i think the name is cute and better than the original. the best part is it has meaning to you. I think you should go with it. Well just a couple of days left for you. I can not wait to see pictures. Have a good day

Your welcome. Adia is a beautiful name too. All the best for your daughters arrival, any day now. Congratulations!

catesgirlz - Tuesday, 10 June
That is a great name and a good way to remember your grandfather.

With my 1st daughter, my x hubbys dad died 6 weeks before she as due. His name was Stanley. I said then that we would do a simlar thing. We didn't know the sex of the baby - lucky she was a girl - Didn't fancy having a child called Stanley, even if it was just a middle name!!! We took the last bit of his name and spelt it Leigh, so that is how we got her middle name :) Good luck x

tracmac - Tuesday, 10 June
Jayleigh is a great name. I actually know someone with a daughter named Jaylee. I think that would be lovely to have in your daughters name in honor of your grandfather. I am sorry to hear of his passing.

Andais - Tuesday, 10 June
I think that's a great honor to name her after him. My dear grandmother passed away 3 weeks after I found out I was preggo, and we were extremely close as well, so when we found out it was a girl...we are giving her for the middle name my grandmothers name of Inalee. So it will be Amelia Inalee. What a wonderful tribute...my family was very touched by it, and I'm certain yours would be as well...best of luck to you and yours and I'm very sorry for your loss.

silaschic02 - Tuesday, 10 June
