Hey there, I've been married to my hubby Chad since 26th Aug 06, and we have a beautiful daughter, Shaylan Monet (pronounced Monaye) who was born 16th Feb 07. We're expecting our 2nd baby on 7th Aug 08. We're so happy and excited to be adding to our lil family, and wouldn't change it for the world! BIRTH STORY FOR SHAYLAN 16/02/07

On Valentines day 07, I went in 4 my antenatal c/u n da dr checked me n gave me da stretch n sweep fing n told me i'd have sum light bleeding, but its nutn 2 worry abt, sure enuff i did start spotting lightly, but ignored it....Dat nyt, at abt 8.30 i was sittn at the computer, and i noticed a dull ache in my back, i ignored it due to me havn bad braxton hix (which led 2 me being admitted twice 4 monitoring in case it was d real thing). I went on doin my usual things, but i kept gettn the dull aches in my back.

Da next day, 15th Feb, I told my mum wats been happenin n she told me to keep bz n time the contractions....so we went shoppn hehehe!!! my fave past tym!!! while we were shopn my contractions startn gettn a bit stronga, strong enuff 4 me to stop n hold my belly...ppl wer lookn at me lyk a was a freak haha!! neways mums telln me 2 go 2 d hosp n get checkd i refused coz of d false alarms id had b4 n was convinced it was braxton hix!! Dat nyt i was watchn savn babies on telly, n i startn tymn d contractions n dey were abt 6-7 mins apart....still finkn its braxtons, i ignored it n kept watchn telly...had my showa...pains still dere...watched more telly n abt n hr or so l8a dey were 4-5 mins apart...i rang my mum n she goes i fink u betta go 2 d hosp i fink its d real fing dis tym n im lyk nah its just falsies ill go to slp n by d mornin itll stop....HAHAHA i dnt finxo i culdnt get 2 slp....da pain was gettn really unbearable n contractions were abt 3 mins apart IF DAT...id stoppd tymn i was in dat much pain....bouncn from wall 2 wall...havn cold showaz....cat stretchn....panadol....i dunno wat else i did...abt 12.30am i decided id ring d hosp n w8 till abt 1.30am n rang em n told em id been havn unbearable contractions n da stupid woman on d fone goes ooh dnt cum in til der unbearable n im finkn wat f frikn hell did i jst tell ya....newayz i tried holdn out sum more (i didnt wanna w8 at d hosp, my poor sis w8d 6 hrs 2 get 2 10cm). newayz at 4.30am i culdnt handle it nemore n i wke chad up....yes he got PLENTY of sleep while i was laborin away haha, n off we went 2 da hosp.....we got der abt 4.50 n wer takn 2 d prep room 2 be checked...2 hrs l8a at 6.50am i was in immense pain n bleedin thru my clothes d sheets n all ova d bed, chad was soo pist off i still hadnt been checked....so he raced out 2 d hallway n grabbed d first midwife he saw, n demanded i get checked seeing as tho we'd been w8n 4 2 hrs she culdnt bleave i hadnt been checked, so she checked me str8 away n goes ryt ur 9cm oredy so u wnt b able to have any drugs....n all i culd say is.....omg im gunna have dis baby 2day...n shes lyk, yeh lyk now!!! she broke my wataz n took me to my room n told me start pushn n she stretchd me 2 10cm, i was pushn 4 abt 20 mins, den anuva nurse came in askn 4 d day sheet coz d midwife i had was d supavza 4 d day, so she told me to stop pushn n off she went...OMG it was d worst fing eva...telln i laborin woman 2 stop pushn afta shed oredy been pushn......newayz she sent in an itern hu had no idea wat she was doin, my mum n sis turned up at 7.30am n dats wen i started pushn agen....i tried every position possible but wit no luck....dey pulled out a mirror so i culd see her cum out...afta abt 3 hrs of pushn my original midwife came in n was shockd dat i hadnt given birth yet n noticed baby was stuck n had been 4 while so she took ova n realised i needed an episiotomy n had so 4 ages, so she gave me one an withn a push shay came FLYN out literally, i sat up coz i saw her cum out so fast n fort d nurse was gunna drop her...luckily she didnt!!! neways she was born wit bad bruzn n a big bump on her hed coz shed been stuck 4 an hr n a half..my poor sweet angel...she was born at 10.12 am on 16th feb 07, 7lb 5oz, 53cm long!! i needed stitches not only 4 my episiotomy but i tore 3 times.....

Monday 26th Nov 2007:

I'm starting to have suspicions of pregnancy! I don't feel well at all! I felt sick, was very hungry, extremely thirsty, itchy boobs, sensitive nipples, cramping tummy...heightened sense of smell.....hehehehhehehe...hopefully good news!!! :)

Tuesday 27th Nov 2007:

Having had certain pregnancy symptoms, i suspected pregnancy, so i bought a HPT. I did the test but it was pretty faint positive, so I decided to retest in a couple of days. I was sooo excited, I didn't wanna wait but knew it would be betta!

Thursday 29th Nov 2007:

I did another test first thing in the morning, and it was positive!!! yay!!! A lot darker then the last one, so it was positive for sure!!! That afternoon, I went to my Dr, who confirmed my pregnancy, and worked out my due date to be 07/08/08!!! He told me to come back next week for the usual pregnancy check ups!

Sunday 6th Jan 2008:

Hey every1, I haven't updated in a while I thought it was about time....Today at work I noticed some brown-discharge, of course I was worried so I told my supervisor who sent me home straight away to get checked. I went to my usual Dr, but he's on holidays, so I sore a Dr I'd never seen before, I told him what had happened, and I asked if I could have an ultrasound for piece of mind, and he replies with "NO I'M NOT SENDING YOU FOR AN U/S YOU'VE EITHER LOST IT OR NOT!" I was soooo pissed off at what he said, I argued with him, but he kept refusing and told me to come back IF AND WHEN I HAVE RED BLOOD OR CLOTS AND HE MIGHT THINK ABOUT SENDING ME FOR A U/S! I was soo upset I left the clinic! I dunno whats so hard about sending some1 for an u/s it aint gunna cost him anything!

Thursday 10th Jan 2008:

Well theres no more browny discharge. I still haven't been back to the Dr or been for an u/s but I'm sure all is well, coz I'm still sick...and have all my other symptoms...and I just feel pregnant lol!

Monday 14th Jan:

I went back to the Dr's today n saw my usual Dr, I told him about the bleeding i've been having, and straight away he's sending me 4 an ultrasound! I'm so excited! I can't wait to see my baby!

Thursday 17th Jan:

I went for my first ultrasound today, i was sooo excited! we saw the baby clearly! at first it wasn't moving n i was starting to get a bit scared, but then he/she started moving heaps...a very active lil bub lol! it was so cute it just kept staring as if it knew we were there! i'll post pix soon

Tuesday 5th February:

I went for my first antenatal appointment today, and they have changed my due date from 7th Aug, to 5th aug...only 2 days but betta then nothn hehehe! Everythings lookn well. My next antenatal appt is 18th March...

Monday 25th Feb:

14 days till my next u/s on 10th march n hopefully we can find out if we're buyin pink or blue!!! im sooooo excited i can't wait!!! im really hoping it isnt facin the wrong way or anything!!! PLZ!!! i've been feeln baby movin 4 a while now, mostly lil bubbly movements, but i've also felt a few soft kicks...can't w8 till they get real strong hehe!

Tuesday 4th March:

Lastnight Chad n I were laying there, n he had his hand on my tummy, n he felt the baby kick twice!!! it was awsome, he hadn't felt this one yet, but now he has so thats great!!! He couldn't feel Shay kick until I was about 22 weeks!!! 6 days until my u/s CAN'T WAIT!!!

Wed 5th March:

MY BABY WALKED TODAY!!!! Shay decided she was gunna up n chase afta our dog Roxy...n thats exactly wat she did...let go of my finga n went afta our dog!! it was sooooo cute!!! I'm sooo happy n relieved she's walkn!!! oh n of course not to mention PROUD!!!! I love my lil girl!!!
My mum felt the baby move today, she was confident I was havn a grl, but she now thinks it myt be a boy....a lot of ppl hav been sayn that, I guess we'll find out in 5 days hehe can't w8!!!!

Mon 10th March:

I went 4 my u/s 2day, everythings lookn good, which is xlnt, n also.... !!!!!!! we're soooooooooooooooo xctd!!!!! eitha way we wulda been happy, but we kinda wanted a boy ehheheheeheheheh!!!! yay now i can go baby shpn hehehehhehe!!!!

Wed 12th March:

I've been goin crazy buyn bubby stuff hehehe! I picked my quilt set 4 babys room, kidsline sea life range, pic in fotobook....i love it its adorable!!!! we're doin his room n Shay's new room next wk ova da easta break!! We've decided to call our lil man Jayden Chad!!! I'm gunna book a 4d soon...cant w8!!!
