This is my second time being a member on this site. My first time ended in miscarriage at 10 weeks but the fetus had died at 7 weeks. It's a horrible experience and I am praying I won't have to go through it again.

My husband and I have been married for a year and got pregnant after only two months of trying. My last baby was due on Feb 28/2008 and I started bleeding on August 4/2008. I lost the baby almost 2 weeks later, it was a very long and horrible process. My next period after the m/c was September 13 and we conceived again on September 27. I feel very blessed to have gotten pregnant again so fast but am very nervous. My husband and I can't really enjoy this until we hit 3 months.

RECENT UPDATES

Had my second ultrasound on January 31st. The baby was curled up tightly and therefore they weren't able to take enough pictures necessary so I have to go back in 2 weeks. My next ultrasound I will get a 3D picture so that is really exciting. The really exciting news was that even though the baby was curled up, they were able to determine it's a GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!

IT'S A GIRL!!!!!!! WOOOHOO!

I can't believe I actually know now. What an amazing feeling! I am still praying to God she is healthy and that I will give birth to a HEALTHY baby girl! (Still a little paranoid from the miscarriage)

My husband and I had the name picked out since my last pregnancy and her name will be;

Phoenix Rose Hudon

About My Pregnancy

-My LMP was September 13. It was my first period since my miscarriage that started on August 4 and didn't finish until 2 weeks later. I did not get a D&C done, I passed it naturally and it was like giving birth. I had horrible contractions that made me want to pass out. As soon as I passed it, all the pain was instantly gone. I can't imagine how painful it is to give birth to a full term baby, wow. So my due date is a bit confusing because my LMP was not totally regular and it was the first one since my miscarriage. My first calculated due date was June 20. After my first ultrasound at 8 weeks, I was told the baby was 6 days behind my calculated due date so they changed it to June 26. I honestly don't remember the conception especially considering the recent miscarriage I wasn't really into babymaking.

-I found out I was pregnant a week and a half after my predicted period. It was another one of the greatest moments of my life. The first time we found out, we were more in shock, well I was thrilled of course but my husband was kinda stressed. The second time, we felt so blessed and my husband was even happy. And yes I kept my pee stick. :)

-The first 8 weeks were completely stressful. I was so incredibly paranoid about another miscarriage. I went for my first ultrasound at what we thought was 9 weeks and I saw the baby moving around. It was rocking itself and kicking it's legs. That was the most amazing thing I have ever seen. We snuck a picture with my husbands cel phone. I felt so much better knowing I had made it to 8/9 weeks.

-My first most noticeable pregnancy symptoms were incredibly sore boobs, major fatigue and drooling...? Then I started getting really bad morning sickness and throwing up every single day all the way until week 14. I barely ate. Even water made me throw up. Certain smells made me throw up. I started drinking Boost meal replacements 3 or 4 times a day because I couldn't eat.

-Some of my most intense food cravings, the kind that makes you run out to the store, are as follows; Olives, Green Kool-Aid, Cucumbers, Tomatoes, Burger King Chicken Fries, Veggie Burgers, Pretzels, ....oh my gosh I am starting to get hungry writing this...

I too have the group B with all of my pregnancies. I hope that everything goes well. The antibiotics do wonders during labor. My son had pneumonia when he was born and they said that it could have been worse without the antibiotics given during birth.(his pneumonia had nothing to do with the group b) I hope that all goes well with your pregnancy!!! Good luck

I don't have any other symptoms of it though. My feet are actually looking normal, lol. It is just very aggravating and I doubt I will be able to sleep with it. I didn't do anything different today. I am thinking she is on a nerve or maybe I have am not getting enough oxygen because she is all up on my lungs. I appreciate the help.

I had high BP during labor with my first daughter and was rushed into labor. With my 2nd daughter I had high BP only when I went into the dr. and this time it's been borderline when I go in but normal at home. Anything over 140/90 is considered high. Mine at the dr. this pregnancy has always been like 140/80 and since my bottom number hasn't been over 90 he's been fine with my BP. But since your bottom number is over 100 I would call your doctor. That is way to high!

I would call your dr asap!!!!!! That much of a jump is scary... I am on bedrest for high blood pressure and borderline preclampsia... The top number doesnt matter its the bottom number. 75 is fine thats not really high at all but 106!!!! When mine was over 100 i was sent to the hospital immediataly. i dont mean to scare you but really call your dr if you haven yet. Or lay on your left side for ten mins and recheck your b/p and see what happens it should go down a bit. I hope everything turns out ok.

I feel so badly for what you are going thro with your MIL. I can't stand my in-laws either, but at least they leave me alone I guess. We told them at Christmas time we were expecting and not a word from them since. It makes me mad that they are so uncaring, but yet I'm relieved they aren't really a part of our lives. I think Pheonix Rose is exquisitely beautiful!! What a unique and exotic name. I love it :) Anyway, don't let her get to you. Just focus on your beautiful girl and stay away from evil MIL if you have to. big hugs

Definitely in the same boat as far as MIL issues. I can't stand mine at all. I've done my best to tolerate her but even my husband says that if I'm going to be stressed having to deal with her he'd rather that I stay away from her. When we told her the news that we were pregnant her reply was, "and?".

My advice. . .focus on what is most important and that is Baby Phoenix Rose...which I personally think is a beautiful name. Congrats and good luck. Oh and if she comments that the baby is ugly again look and her and say, "Ugly? Really? We actually thought she looked a lot like you." 10 to 1 Phoenix suddenly becomes the prettiest baby she's ever seen. lol Don't stress though ok?
