My husband and I are self employed, we own/opperate a coffee bar! It is so much fun being our own boss! We moved to a smaller town in Iowa to live out our dreams! Raising a family was the biggest thing that we wanted to do! We got married after being together for 10months, and we were expecting our first child 6 months later!

Our daughter Aliya came along and has been the light of our lives! It is wonderful watching her learn and grow. All of her milestones have been fun. She slept through the night starting at 8 weeks old. She walked on her 1st birthday! Got potty trained at just over 2 years old, and at 3 she can write her name! We have enjoyed her so much, I love when she spontaneously tells us that she loves us! (A parent can go on all day about their kids!)

What could be better?..........Another baby! We had our baby boy in November and have been overwhelmed with love! I call him my handsome boy, Aliya likes to call him cheeky boy! He has surprised us with his milestones so far. I had big hopes for him to sleep through the night at 8 weeks also! (Like every child is the same? Haha!) But, he surprised us, and did it! I was just starting to think of my plan on how to get him to sleep through, and he did it so well! We love to make him laugh. He has begun reaching out for toys! Oh what fun!

Yay for Bryce getting his first tooth! Has he been fussy at all during this process?? Cian just got his 3rd. A top tooth. It's huge! I think his other one is coming in too. He's been a little grump these past few days. Not that I blame him... they look painful!

I'm feeling much better... although I have my moments. I started taking Zofran which has been a lifesaver. There's no way I would be functioning without it. So yay for that!! I'm just so insanely tired. I don't remember being this tired last time. The joys. ;-)

Anyway, time to put the little one down for a nap. Take care!

I think next summer I'm totally going to try your stepping stone idea. Sounds totally cute!!! And what a great keepsake for in the garden. Love it!

Well unfortunately I've been terribly sick the last two days. My sister and Mom literally had to take care of Cian all day yesterday. I couldn't keep a darn thing down. Not even water. It was horrible. I was weak and tired and hungry. But nothing helped. I was hoping to not have to take any meds... but I gave in. Started Zofran this morning. So far, so good. I'm hoping it works!! Blah. I wish I was one of those ladies who just had easy pregnancies. Its all worth it in the end though. =)

How are you guys doing? I hope well!! I can't believe July is nearly ending. Insane! Summer goes wayyyy too fast. Anyway, have a lovely rest of the week!! Talk soon.

Sounds like a blast!! How did the stepping stones turn out? I love that you do that kind of thing. What an awesome idea for gifts!!

We had our second appointment today and finally heard the little ones heartbeat. Everything is looking perfect and she gave me a due date of March 9th. Still insane to me. So excited though. Cory and I are already starting to think of names. We've agreed on the girl (teagan) but are still debating on the boy name. Haha. We're sticking with traditional Irish names. Who knows what we'll come up with!

Unfortunately I'm still getting sick. Boo!! But not nearly as bad as last time (knock on wood!!!) We have an appointment Monday for another ultrasound... so I'm praying to see the little heartbeat! She thinks I'm about 5 to 6 weeks along. She said we'll get a better idea once we see the baby. Still totally foreign that I'm pregnant again. Seriously feels like I just did this! I guess I did! Haha.

I think we'll find out what we're having. We did with Cian and it was nice getting ready for him. Also, I liked talking to him knowing he was a little boy. But I definitely want to wait and not find out at some point. We want 4 kids... so maybe the last one. haha.

Anyway, I feel your pain about Bryce not having teeth. Cian didn't get his until a few weeks ago... now their popping out like crazy!! Cian LOVES puffs too. Isn't it adorable watching their little fingers pick up food? I love that you let Bryce crawl around in his diaper. I do it too. It's too crazy hot for clothes!! If we're home, I figure he might as well be comfortable. Haha. I love it. So cute.

Aw. Poor Bryce. I'm glad he's feeling better now. Doesn't it just break your heart when they get sick? I would have thought it would have been his teething too. Any sign of a tooth yet?

So my appointment went good. She thinks I'm about 5 weeks along... which is later than what I thought, so thats good! We couldn't see the baby yet, still too early. But we go in again next week for another US. We're still not really telling people until we see a heartbeat. So hopefully next visit will be it!!

Well its a pool day for Cian today. I better run!

So I looked at that youtube video. HOLY CRAP!! I'm so shocked that nobody died. It looked absolutely horrible. I can't imagine being with your family and friends and having something like that happen. I do hope no one you knew was in the area. Crazy.

Well we're starting the process all over again!! Took a test last week and it was positive. Cian will be 9 months next week... so he'll have a close little buddy to play with. We're SO stoked!! First doctors appointment in the morning... so I'll blog about how it goes. Yay for babies! haha.

thanks! I used to think that people were lying when theysaid they didnt care about the gender as long as he/she were healthy-. now i truely know what that feels like. it would be great to have a son, but at the same time, having a sister for Jenna would be great too. As long as he/she is healthy, we'll be blessed. thanks agan, and btw, your kids are adorable!!!

Isn't teething just horrible? Cian is cutting his second tooth. I'm praying it comes through soon. I'm ready for my normal happy child back! haha. :-)

It's been hot here too. We have a little baby pool out back that Cian has been going in more and more. Yesterday I was about ready to jump in with him... it was SO hot. Summer is definitely in full swing!

Do you guys have any plans for the 4th?? Can you believe it's already almost July! Insane.

Awww... Bryce is crawling!! Isn't time flying? I can't believe how big our little guys are getting. Cian got his first tooth yesterday. I know it's kind of lame... but I teared up. I never though a little tooth would make me so emotional! I feel like his baby-ness is fading fast. And now he's starting to let go of things while he's standing. He's growing WAY too fast!!

That's crazy you guys were in Belle! We actually live in Spearfish, but that's only a few miles from Belle Fourche. I don't know why it says Belle Fourche in my profile. Weird.

Anyway... I'm glad you guys are enjoying your weekend! We're off to the park here in a bit.

Don't you love how the parentals can STILL do that to us?! I've had my fair share of guilt trips as well. You've got two kids, your own business, and a natural disaster you've just finished dealing with! My goodness... you deserve a break. I say stay home and enjoy a little R&R with the hubby and kids. Mom will just have to deal with it. ;-)

The weather here has been AMAZING!! We have a little baby pool on the back deck and Cian had his first dip in it yesterday. It was SO cute!! He loves the water. I'll have to post some pics when I get them.

Anyway, I've gotta get going. I seriously wouldn't feel bad about missing that reception. You've been insanely busy these past few weeks and deserve a little time for yourself.
And feel free to vent anytime... we all need to every now and then.

Love the vaca photos!! You guys are such a cute family. Aliya and Bryce are just absolutely adorable. The one of them sitting next to eachother in the seat with Aliya kind of holding Bryce is too cute. Love it!

I can't believe the flooding!! Has it started to go down at all? We've been watching the pictures of Iowa city in disbelief... insane what is going on. So I see that water is pretty much all around the area where the coffee shop is... are you guys able to even be open?? Looks like it would be hard for any business in the area with all that water. Praying things clear up soon for you all!
