This is my 3rd pregnancy I have two other wonderful daughters and I thought 'oh my other pregnancies were a breeze I can't wait to be pregnant again!' Boy did I jinx myself! This is has been the biggest roller coaster ride, with spotting and bleeding up until 12wks being told at 17 weeks we were having a boy! We told everyone and it was to be the first grandson in generations only to get another ultra sound 5 weeks later and they told us nope that is definitely a girl! This pregnancy has been soooo different from my girls I am still thinking that come delivery time there is a 30% chance the baby will come out to be a boy lol! Not good since the nursery is in ladybugs and totally girly! Now I am dealing with preterm contractions and dilation and with 2 kids at home not easy to just lay down and rest. I am a stay at home mom and doing things is what I do, I only had to be on bedrest for 3 days and I went crazy (and it was over easter weekend so no hunting or yummy dinner for me or hubby lol) So far that is my story I will keep updating hopefully good news!!!
March 26- Changed doctors today! Don't know if you saw my post but my original doctor moved to Cali so I just grabbed a doctor out of thin air and she and I didn't mesh well. Was in L & D 3 days over the weekend and one of the times I was there she was sitting at the desk and didn't even acknowledge me. Then she didn't even come to see how I was doing while i was there. My hubby was so mad! So yesterday I had an impromtu with another dr whom i loved and I called today and changed over to her!! YEAH!!
April 16- Things here are holding steady! Only 2 more weeks and I am free of all of the restrictions!! I am kind of nervous cause I keep thinking that the first thing I do (probably sex with hubby lol) I am going to go into labor! But my doc said they won't stop anything after 35 weeks! I have an appt with her when I am 35 weeks and 5 days so I am going to hold off till I see her and then away we go!!!!
May 7- Well I made it this far yeah!!! I am officially any day now as I am 2cm and 70% effaced baby is in position and very low! Been having good contractions but mainly little ones throughout the day! I want to go to 37 wks (only 5 more days!) and then it is game on!

Heya! Thanks so much for the comment. You know there are a few friends of mne who insist on waking up their babies every 2.5 hours to feed (day and night)... wow, I think I'd have lost the plot a long time ago if I had to do that! My baby also sleeps a long stretch and then wakes up more or less 3.5 hours later for the next feed after. I'm really looking forward to her sleeping *through* ;)

Finally had a chance to reply! I actually recovered really fast this time around, had no problems with bodily functions, etc, lol! I only had forgotten the way it felt to stand upright - I felt like a total hunchback for the first week. Now I feel totally exhausted, but I don't feel like I have reason to complain because she usually sleeps for at least one 4 hour stretch each night, sometimes up to 6 hours. I am unable to nap during the day, though, for some reason. Even if my 4 yr old and the baby are napping I still can't seem to actually fall asleep. Of course that means by about 7 in the evening I am ready to crash!
I ordered the gumdrop pacifiers today that everyone is raving about on the site...I hope she will take them! She will NOT take the other pacis we have - she gags and splutters and then screams louder. She loves to suck on my finger, though, which ties up both of my hands. Hopefully these will let me have a little more freedom :) Have a nice night!

Sounds like a great labor! You deserved a quick one! Mine went really fast, too, but not 2 hours. :) My water broke while I was backstage at the recitals for the dance studio I teach at. (Big studio - they do 7 shows over 2 days, I made it through 2 1/2 shows) She was born less than 6 hours later. They checked me and I was at 7 cm, she was born 6 minutes later - yay! This was my tiniest baby, too, at 7 lbs 8 oz and 21 in long. When her head came out my first thought was that was it? It seemed SO much smaller than my son - he was 8 lbs 3 oz and born face up so the smallest part of his head was not what I felt!
How old are your other girls? My daughter is 8 and I sometimes feel like I have to fight with her to get the baby - she wants to do EVERYTHING with her. So far we haven't had too many interesting behavior things - mostly just with my boy, but Daddy has been doing a lot of extras with them - swimming, playing basketball, etc. Its hardest when he is at work and I am nursing and one or the other decides that they don't have to listen to what I said. Too bad we can't be independently wealthy so that Daddy can stay home to play with them all the time!!!

I'm sorry that the girls will jealous. You will have to give me some insight and solutions for that situation for me as I want to have more kiddos.
I am very happy and a tad jealous about how lovely your birth was. But, I know that you waited so long and don't get me wrong, I am very happy for you. Only pushing 7 times sounds wonderful!!! If I hadn't pushed for three hours then I would be feeling great now. My c-section healed very well...but my broken tail bone is very painful. I'm on pain medications though and am taking it easy.

I didnt get my membranes sweep today at dr:( and no change still 3c and 80% ut head even lower, been havin contractions since 11 55 every 1 to 5 min, but they hurt alot, but more like period cramps, and in my bumm,,, weird, but theya re not getting worse:( so I guess its a waiting game
she said she cant see me going another wk, but if i do she will strech me on the 12th, but the 12 is so long away!
