April 16, 2008...

Ok I kmow it's been quite some time since I have updated my page. Let's just say it's been crazy. I have started going to my Dr. every 2 weeks now which is very comforting. My ankles have swelled to 3 times it's size and the Dr. has just advised to try to stay off them as much as possible. My next Dr. apointment is April 22 and I will be 32 weeks by then. Time has really flewn by, finally got the crib, change table and stroller so my DH and I will be fixing the room this weekend and maybe doing some shopping. I have started nesting and making sure the house is extra clean. Oh, decided that a small shower for family is a good idea as people keep calling and asking so May 3rd is the big date..just another excuse for me to eat..LOL...well I will make sure that I keep everyone up to date..

I am a mother of 2 children, they are 11 and 9 so even though I am not a new mother this all seems new to me.

Believe it or not ladies I have forgotten what pregnancy feels. I am a little anxious at times because they tell you that after 35 you are a higher risk, so I worry.

I am hoping that communication on the site will put my mind at ease.

Jan 8th....I have my next US on Jan 17th should be able to find out the sex of the baby but more importantly I just want to make sure that everything is ok. I have not heard the heart beat since Dec 7th when I had my first US and I don't see my OB until Jan 25th. I do have an appointment with my family Dr. this Thursday maybe he has some tools there to put my mind at ease.

Jan 25th...first OB appointment at week 20. It went very well. All my ISP or for my Mommy friends in the US (AFP) tests came back with great results. She said you could not wish for better numbers so we are having a healthy baby boy and very releaved. Next appointment if Feb 19th and I am looking forward to hearing teh heartbeat again. It was a strong one.
