Hey everyone. My name is Danielle. My husband and I are expecting our first child together. Between the two of us we have three children already. It was a long and bumpy road on our way to finding eachother but God finally brought us together. We got married July 14, 2007 and are expecting the new adition to our family on July 14, 2008. That is really exciting for us. What a perfect gift! I'm just so glad that I have him to go through it all with. I couldn't ask for more, even though lately I think he feels otherwise. Lol... It's the hormones!!

march 1, 2008

We went for our 20 week ultrasound on Feb 28 and it was so awesome. We looked away on certain parts bc we don't want to know the sex. I did ask the tech if she could tell the sex and she said that she could definatley tell! That made it harder. Our little one is 14 oz already. That seems big but I'm not sure. Everything looked great and the baby is doing fine. I did ask if she knew how long the baby was but she said that they don't measure that bc the babies are all curled up and it's hard to get an accurate length. Oh well. I can't wait to hold our little baby!! I hope all babies and mommies are doing well!

Oh and......My doctor isn't going to change my due date but the ultrasound read that I am actually 3 days ahead of my due date. So my baby is 'due' according to weight and meassurements on July 11th instead of the 14th. It doesn't really matter to me though bc I have never really gone all the way to my due date, I've always delivered a few days to a week before. Lol....watch this one make a liar out of me.

June 20, 2008

It's late.....12:02 a.m. I'm very tired but still up... so I am still considering it to be Thursday 6-19! Went to the Doctor today not knowing if I was going to be checked for dialation and effacement or not. I kept my fingers crossed and was relieved that she did check me! I am 2 cm's dialted and 70% effaced!!! The baby is definatley in a head down position! I know that it could still be awhile but I am excited that my body is working on bringing our baby to us! YAY!! I lost a lb but the Doc said that was fine....that puts my total weight gain thus far at 28 lbs. I am hoping to keep it under 30 lbs. I think that won't be a problem bc my appetite and such is pretty much gone. I haven't been having a ton of contractions, I've been having some Braxton Hicks contractions but none that are painful. I think the weirdest thing is that I've been having very loose bowels for at least a week now. It comes and goes with lower back pain. I think it may be actually doing something. I still have a few weeks but I am getting very excited!!! I ask my Doc were I was with my daughter as far as being dialated and effaced at my 36 wk appointment and she said I was 1 cm and 50% effaced. My daughter was born 3 days before her due date. With both her and my son, my water just broke without having any contractions at all. I'm hoping this time will be different and so far it seems that way. The only bad thing is that it feels like the first time bc I've never had to try and figure out the whole contraction thing before. I'm trying to figure out if this one will come early or right on time.....I guess at my 37 week appointment, we'll know how fast I am progressing and get a better idea then. It seems so far away...but yet it seems like the baby will be here so fast. Either way, I can't wait to meet him/her!!!

June 27,2008

I went to my weekly appointment yesturday. The doctor told me that I am now 3cm dialated and still 70 % effaced. I was a little disappointed, I was hoping that she would tell me I was more dialated than that. Lately I have been sooo uncomfortable and very moody. It is just so close to the end and I am sore and huge and so tired. I'm not sleeping at night hardly at all. But the up side is that I go again next week!! I have been walking a lot (about 4 miles in the last two days) and I hope that helps. So far it's just made me sore. Lol. And my daughter seems to want to sit in my lap more now that I don't really have one. I hinted around to my doctor that I wanted her to strip my membranes at my 38 wk appointment. I think if I am dialated to a 4 or 5 she will. Otherwise, she is going to make me wait until I am officially 39 wks to do it. I plan on making an appointment on the following Monday(the first day of my 39th wk) to get it done!! If she does it next week I will be 38 wks and 3 days pregnant. Not too bad plus I have no idea how big this baby is or anything. Baby is definatley head down and a strong kicker. Maybe we have ourselves a soccer player!! We'll know soon enough. The ten months of being pregnant go by so slow when you are in them but too fast when you look back to remember. My oldest is 6 years and starting first grade next year. I cried at Kindergarden graduation. I don't want to rush things as they go by too fast as it is. These times are precious.

Message to all This may be interesting to some of you. Seema`s email is seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Hi there,

I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.

We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.

If you’re interested in having a chat or finding out more about our documentary, it would be really great to hear from you. All communication would be in complete confidence.

You can contact me on: seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Thanks for the info.! My stomach is always so tight that sometimes it's hard to even tell if I'm having a Braxton Hick let alone a contraction. This is my first baby, so I'm just getting anxious at this point. Anyways, good luck with your pregnancy! I'll keep my fingers crossed that we both go into labor soon!

I had some of those pains before I felt the pain in the v-jay

I have been getting the twinges / shocks thru my bits & glutes, lower back.... It would depend on what nerves your bub is leaning on, as to where you will feel it. There is a big nerve that runs down you back thru your butt into you pelvis, that could be why you are feeling it in your bottom.. Just means bubs is getting lower :)

Got your message. Here's hoping I am one of those lucky women who feel nothing then BAM! Quick labor. I didn't know that it could happen that way, but after your message I started looking it up on the Internet and dilation/effacing precedes labor but doesn't predict when you will go into labor necessarily.. So that's actually good news. It could happen all at once. That would be AWESOME! Thanks again for the words of encouragement, and good good luck to you!

Thanks! I don't remember losing it with my first and never had bloody anything for him.....my OB's nurse said it was likely my mucous plug as well.....I have been having thick yellow snot discharge since midway through this pregnancy....just never had clear blood tinged.....

Oh, that must of been an experience, I usually hear the opposite; people who go into labor w/out their water breaking naturally.

I'm actually working the whole way through, every now and then I get stabbing pains down there and I freak wondering how ppl would react if suddenly my water broke.

I'm really really anxious now, I can't wait to hold her!

Oh that's so motivating! I have my 36wk check up this Friday, I'm so hoping to get news like that. I see you are now 37wks, how are you progressing?

I was induced w/ my 1st so this whole waiting thing is so new to me, it's so weird just looking for signs.

I'm hoping to go early if all is well and she is ready...but, we'll see "lo que sera, sera"

UG! Well good news is, steriods doesn't really do much. Bad news is - you work with some one who is really rude and inappropriate! That is horrible. I would never touch someone - especially to rub medicine on them when they didn't ask me. Was she a little immature or just plain stupid?

I don't blame you for being mad at that lady for putting her cream on you. For one, who's to say her bottle hands and the cream isn't contaminated!

You were a lot nicer than I would have been. In my state on mind I would have gone off one her.

jh1983 - Tuesday, 17 June
ACTUALLY THAT WOMAN NEEDS TO HAVE A REALITY CHECK! THERE ARE A MILLION THINGS WE CANT BE HAVING IN, ON, OR AROUND OUR BODIES!!!! YOU NEED TO MAKE SURE SHE KNOWS NOT TO TOUCH YOU ~EVER! I MEAN COME ON, WE CANT EVEN USE ACNE CREAM!!!!!!! I HOPE IT ISNT SOMETHING THAT WE CANT HAVE ON OUR BODIES!

Some doctors really do suck, and allot of what they check is totally up to them wich sucks for us yours should start checking more in your 37th week if not I would demand that he at least tell you if you are dialated or defaced. good luck sorry I don't feel well today been in labor sense yesterday at 4pm Good luck.

steffy1724 - Thursday, 12 June
hey, don't worry I feel the exact same way about my dr appointments...they are over so quick, the dr doesn't show any concern, she measures me, weighs me, takes my bp and thats it. Asks if I have any questions and thats it, I am still going every 2 weeks as well. I too only got an ultra sound at 20 weeks. it is very frustrating...lol

sbrittc2000 - Thursday, 12 June
Thanks girl for replying to me. I sure do hope it's a good sign! I went 2 1/2 weeks early with my son. I could only hope I will do the same with this little girl. :o)

I wish you the best of luck with your little one. Stay in touch!
