Hi everyone welcome to my page. I am not pregnant anymore however I have enjoyed this site so much and have made some wonderful friends here I could not leave even though my twins were born!
My name is Leslie and my hubby Scott and I have been blessed greatly by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ with 4 beautiful children. Our first son was born August 18, 2000 and even though he is not Scott's biological child he is his Dad. Scott adopted him and we had his name changed to become one happy family in our hearts and on paper! Scott and I married on February 14th, 2002 in a small ceremnony and then had a large fairytale wedding for family and friends on June 15th, 2002. Our first and only daughter was born March 23rd, 2003 and is such a joy to her Daddy and I. She is a "drama mama" but a wonderful girlie girl! I began bugging Scott for just one more baby. He is always the worrier in our relationship and was concerned to bring another child into this world. I reasoned with him telling him the love our family has is enough and that teaching them to be Godly and strong will inturn protect them from the ways of our society. We had yet to begin trying for a baby when I had missed my monthly and wondered if we had already become pregnant. April the 9th I tested and it was positive in less than 10 seconds. I honestly just thought maybe we were already 12-15 weeks pregnant since it registered so fast. With both Blake and Gabby we did not test positive until almost 9 weeks. I made an appointment at the OBGYN. At my doctors' office they do a confirmation test and then call you and let you know. So I got a call letting us know "yes you are pregnant, but your levels are a little high so we will need you to come in for an ultrasound to make an accurate date on the pregnancy". April 25th, 2008 was our first ultrasound and to my surprise there were two growing babies. With a relativly uneventful pregnancy I gave birth to Tatum James and Wyatt Franklin at 36 weeks. Both babies were healthy and came home with us after our five day stay at The Womens Hospital of Greensboro.
Here is our first year with Tatum and Wyatt and as a family of 6!!! (My pregnancy journal is still up on my blog list just as it was here so feel free to read it)

Wow how time has flown by. My babies are now one month old and so precious. I love them so much and cannot even think of not having them. I honestly believe that the Lord knew what he was doing when he sent two little angels into our family. This has helped my husband and I so much. He has always ben a good provider and Daddy but now he sees what I do and has truely been a great husband and Father.

5 weeks old!!!!

Merry Christmas From Our Family to Yours - Christmas 2008

On December 22, 2008- "Santa" droped by my sisters' home in NC to check up on our children! He was such a nice and jolly elf. He brought his apron and baked cookies with the kids, he read them stories and sang songs, and even tucked them into bed. They were so excited and loved every minute of the evening!

"My Brother, My Friend"

Wow it has already been 3 months. Time is flying by so fast. Tatum and Wyatt are such joys! They seem to have that "twin" bond already. They sleep together all the time. If I lay them apart in thier crib they scoot over to each other until they are touching. It is amusing to watch. They are doing well just still small. They have only gained about a pound per month but the doctor says they are perfect!
We all seem to be adjusting well to our new life and new family. It really is not that much harder to have four kids than having two already. And having twins has been so much fun and so much better than I could ever imagine. People say " oh, double trouble" or " my goodness your hands are full" Yes my hands are literally full of babies but I love it and would not change it for anything in the world!

Happy Valentines Day - 14 weeks old
Mommy and Daddy's Anniversary is also Valentines Day. Every year we go back to where we honeymooned for a little weekend getaway! So off to Myrtle Beach, SC we went with our littlest Valentines. We had a great weekend and I think the babies actually enjoyed the peace and quiet as much as we did!!!

The boys are getting so big. I am sure they are close to 9 pounds now if not a little over. I am also hopeful that they are over 9 pounds as I do still worry about how little they are. But developementally I think they are doing well. Both boys rolled over from tummy to back at 5 weeks old. They continue to do this everyday during tummy time. Each day they are pushing thier heads up for longer periods of time. And Tatum has started rolling from his back to his side. Before long that boy will be turning kartwheels!!! Thier head strength and neck muscles seem strong, still a little wobbly at times but for the most part strong.
I have been breastfeeding soley now since they were able to come of of the preemie formula at 3 weeks old. They will take a bottle of breastmilk if needed though! Such good babies for Mama.
I have finally figured out our routine and we are really loving it. The babies have started eating, playing and then sleeping in that order and at night they go to bed around 10 and sleep until 6 am!!!! Oh that just made m day the first time it happened even though it scared me to death! But I made the mistake trying to put them back in our room one night when I was not feeling well so I would hear them if they needed me and they did not sleep at all. So now they only sleep in thier room in thier crib. Tatum and Wyatt do still share a crib and they seem to thrive on this. My mom hates it but I think they are fine. Especially since they are still so small and they do not bother each other.
These boys have truly been a wonderful blessing to our life and home!

It SNOWED!!!!! We very rarely get alot of snow but today we woke up to around 6 inches!!!! The kids had a blast making this huge snowball and Tatum and Wyatt just got dressed up for snow!!!!

4 MONTHS OLD......................I cannot believe it has already been 4 months. The boys are so funny and such joys. They are getting playful and I love to see them smile. Wyatt has learned how to suck his breathe in and squeal! It is quite the rage at our house! They are both rolling from tummy to back and can roll from thier back to thier side but have not been able to get over to thier belly yet. They are still breastfed and doing well. They are still small and I cringe everytime I hear someone comment on it. But thier doctor says " as long as they are gaining something each month they are fine"! So that puts my fears and worries at ease.

We had our check up on March 13th, 2009- Dr Dillard says developmentally they are ahead for 4 months. Tatum a little more than Wyatt. But both doing great. They are still small but growing none the less. So I am very proud!

Tatum 9lbs. 3oz. and 21.5"long at 4 months (18 weeks) old!!!!!
Wyatt 9lbs. 3oz. and 21 " long at 4 months (18 weeks) old!!!!!

WE ARE 5 MONTHS OLD!!!!!!!!! WoW How time flies!!!!!!

6 MONTHS OLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Where does the time go? It has been such a wonderful experience; these past 6 months with our new boys! They are now eating some solids including cereal and peas, green beans, and sweet potatoes. They are still very small and their doctor, Dr. Dillard ( whom we love!) put them on EnfaCare which is made for preterm babies. However this formula gave them awful reflux so back off of that. They do still nurse just not near as much anymore.
Tatum hates a bath! Sits up better than his brother Wyatt and eats solids much better. However he is more spoiled, wants to be held more and loves to "talk" he can say Dada and knows exactly how to use it!
Wyatt is a little slower but is totally my snuggle bug. He enjoys it but is fine when you put him down :)
