I am pregnant with my fouth baby. Oddly, this is the first time I have experienced nausea and vomitting during pregnancy. This started at about 5-6 weeks. After two weeks of feeling like I had the stomach flu, I gave in and started taking a medication recommended by my doctor, Diclectin. Diclectin is only available in Canada, as far as I know. It has been around for about 25 years and there are no known side effects on the baby. Unfortunately, it contains a bit of a sedative and so on top of being tired in your first trimester, this makes you even MORE tired. I started off taking four pills a day and now at 18 weeks, I'm down to 1/day. On top of this, I am a bowel disease survivor. I was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease before I got pregnant for my first child. When my baby was 9 months old, I got very sick and had to have surgery. My entire large intestine (colon) was removed and I was given an ileostomy. 1 year after this, I was strong and healthy and got pregnant for my second baby. This pregnancy was monitored very carefully, as I had the ileostomy to deal with. I got through this pregnancy with flying colors, except for one attack of pancreatitis. A year after this baby, I had another surgery wherein a Pelvic Pouch was made out of my small intestine and my ileostomy was removed. 2 years after this surgery, I was pregnant again with my third child. A wonderful experience. I was pregnant again when my son was only 1 year old (and still not sleeping through the nights) and unfortunately I miscarried at about 5 weeks. When my son was two years old, I couldnt stop thinking about having a fourth child. Many people thought I was nuts. Finally, my husband and I decided to give it one last shot and in September 2007, on a much deserved 10 year anniversary trip, we conceived our fourth baby. Baby #4 is due June 16, 2008!

Message to all This may be interesting to some of you. Seema`s email is seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Hi there,

I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.

We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.

If you’re interested in having a chat or finding out more about our documentary, it would be really great to hear from you. All communication would be in complete confidence.

You can contact me on: seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

 You look great

HppyMomToBeRS - Wednesday, 25 June
I am doing ok just getting a little uncomfortable. My ribs are starting to really hurt because bailee love to lay under them and put her feet up under them as far as she can. How long are they going to let you go before you have little one. I have been getting very stong BH contraction for the last 3 days but nothing painfull or to painfull. It is kind of frusterating I never thought I would want to be in labor and pain. Kind of crazy. Will I am forty weeks in two days. So we will see

Still no baby for you yet me either. I have been having a lot of BH contraction today and yesterday and have been having a strange discharge that look like my mucus plug coming in pieces but I am not sure. How are you

HppyMomToBeRS - Saturday, 5 April
I totally understand about the sagging. Mine are getting so big I am now a 32 f which kind of scares me but my doctor keeps telling me they well go back and as long as i keep down my body fat and get to somewhere were I was before I was pregnant they well not sag. My friends boobs still look awsome and she has had two babies with them and breasfeed for about 6 month with each. I do get nervous though. Yes I will breast feed for about a year if I can, how about you. Just stay positive I think they well be fine. Did You have to have a lift when you got your implants or were you just small like I was. I can not remember.

I am p/g with my third baby and i'm wondering, do you ever worry about how your gonna handle another one? Sometimes I think omg what have I gotten myself into, but my oldest boy is 6 and he is a sweatheart, very easy child, and my second son is a little more of a handful, just two totally different personalities. I sure hope I get a mild mannered third son, just so that I can keep my sanity! Congrats on #4!!

Girl, that is a hard question to answer, most of the names here, are the same in Canada or the States, unless of course you want a maori or pacific island name, that would be different, lol!
If my baby is a boy, we may name him Johnathan, not sure about the second names yet, and if it is a girl, then we may name her, Amber Eden, or Eden Amber, whatever feels right at the time.
Go have a look at my kids, you will see the link to my children on my page and check their names out, help yourself if you like any of them:)

No sweetie,
I just did a fun gender prediction, it just said I was more likely to have a girl than a boy, I still have to wait until another 7 weeks to find out the gender, and that is only on the cooperation of the baby, lol!

It is frustrating when you can't see the babies gender, I felt quite disappointed, but hopefully I will be able to see at the 30 week scan in 8 weeks.
I hope you are doing well hun!
Hugs niki

18 weeks today- went for ultrasound but baby would not co-operate in letting me know what the gender was! I'm very disapointed as I am going away for spring break in Florida and wanted to SHOP, SHOP, SHOP for this baby and now I wont know what to buy. I may end up paying to have a 3D ultrasound done to find out...will keep you posted! On the upside, baby is terrific. I've gained 10lbs so far, which I think is pretty reasonable. I'm still on Diclectin for nausea and vomitting - 1/day. Life is good!
