Michael Brandon was born May 19th via c-section at 7:36 pm. He weighed 6lbs 6oz and measured in at 19.75 inches long.

Birth Story
I went into labor at 9:28 sunday night. I was on my way back from out of town. Contractions were 5 min apart and doc said for me to go to the hospital. I was 37 weeks that day so the baby would be fine. Any who...so i was laboring and at about 7:00 am monday morning i was given pitocin. i did not have bad contractions at all. At 9:45 my doctor came and broke my water. The contractions still werent that bad after my water broke. i ended up getting an epidural when i was 5-6 cm dialated. At around 7:20 the doc said i had to have a c-section because Michael was going into distress. I was about 9 cm when he told me this so it was very dissapointing because i was close to being able to deliver vaginally. It all happened fast so i was just glad to have my son finally and that he was healthy. Well thats it!

Yes there is always one at the hospital that will visit ur baby, cuz my pediatrician isn't affiliated w/ my hospital so I'll see the doc at the hospital and when d/c go and see the 1 picked.

There is a pediatrician at the hospital that will see your baby. That is what happened with my first. Then the insurance did a back track to cover the costs.

I was induced with my first and will be induced again this time, I have nothing to compare it to but I think the contractions were pretty intense. Then I got an epidural and did not feel a thing after that. Labor is not near as bad as what people make it out to be, It is kind of a out of body experience!! Just try to not worry it will end up being the best day of your life and something you truly never forget! GOOD LUCK!

Ahhh! Poor thing. Don't be scared! I remember with my first there was a lot of anxiety about the unknown. Everyone has a different experience, but WE ALL SURVIVE IT!!! Just relax. Breath. Enjoy these last few days because they go by too quickly. Focus on your body and not on other people's complaint or past experiences. Trust your doctor...and your body. You'll know what to do. Hopefully you deliver during the week or you may end up with a different doctor for your delivery. I think Jenkins only works one weekend a month. Unfortunately though that is how MOST of the doctors in Katy are. They are all in a group and they take turns covering for each other so they get some time off. My dad didn't join a group until just this last year. Before that he was EXHAUSTED!!! Patients aren't usually happy about it, but at least the doctor that is taking care of you is somewhat rested since they aren't worked to death and have had some time off that month. Good luck!

He is new out here in Katy. He's the only one that I haven't met personally! Have you had to see any of the other doctors in his call group? Pappadas, Kabir, or Zimmerman??? If so, what did you think of them?
