Tuesday, 8 April Hi, Just wanted to drop a line to wish you all the best over the next 3 (to 5) weeks. I hope your labour goes relatively painless, and that your Baby is the apple of your eye. All the best for whatever the future holds for us all. Mel (London). kelsul -
Monday, 7 April i have gained 40 lbs with this baby. with my first it was only 30. either way, it will come off. especially if you plan to breastfeed. babyboysmama -
Monday, 7 April I have gained 32 pounds and will be 36 weeks tomorrow..I'm surprised at the reaction you've got...a lot of women I talk to here at work think I'm doing great...I know quite a few women who gained between 40-60 pounds during their pregnancy. Whatever it is, don't stop eating...It's sooo important for you and your baby to get all the nutrition you can...You'll work off the weight, worry about that after the baby comes. God Bless! snowwhite5thbabe -
Monday, 7 April You need to build up your energy reserves these last few weeks...labor really burns ALOT of calories! Listen to your body, girl! brandi0881 -
Monday, 7 April Girl, I have gained 37 so far and still have a couple of weeks to go. Please try not to worry about it. If you're hungry...EAT! Don't pay any attention to anything but your body. You wouldn't be hungry if you didn't need it. You can always lose it after the baby. That is how I am looking at it. I am not even upset about it, even tho pre pregnancy I was a freak about my body. I know I can get it back and you can too!! mel-k -
Monday, 7 April Not to mention that you look great! You don't even look big. mel-k -
Monday, 7 April Oh Please! I wish I had only gained that much! Don't worry about it, let me tell you as of last week I have gained 64lbs! Are you kidding me? That's almost half my pre-pregnancy weight! You'll be fine. Anyhow I heard it was anywhere from 25-45 for a normal weight gain. Seriously you will be so happy once your done and the weight will come right off. Good Luck to you! first-time-mommy-to-b -
Monday, 7 April I wouldn't worry about it! I actually gained 10 lbs in only a week!! AHH I cried in the Drs office, but he said it is very normal at this point because ALOT of it is water weight. And you have to realize that you baby is growing at the speed of light now!! Just sit back and relax, the only time you should start to worry about your weight is if you start having health problems b/c of it. Not too much longer and you have to eat for your baby! I have gained 50 lbs so far!! AHHH, my Dr. says its more than normal...but he also said every women is different and if you are eatting healthy then you are only gaining it if you need it! Good Luck! Don't worry!!! MilMom2Be -
Monday, 7 April I should fly over there and slap your doc! I have put on 30 lbs, and my family thinks that is too little, my doctor thinks it's just right, and I just hope I can lose it after baby gets here!!! 35 lbs is nothing, and will melt off after you give birth, anyone who acts shocked has earned the right to be kicked in the shins! Good Luck! mamahannah -
Monday, 7 April When you feel hungry, drink a large glass of water or tea before you eat to help with how much you consume. It really helps for me.
I am constantly drinking hordes of iced tea all through the day and it helps me out a lottt. laurie -
Monday, 7 April oh i dont want the doctor to turn him..thats why i was asking if any of you girls know how i could try it myself at home...even if they are old wives tales!!!
i guess im worried because the doctor said i may end up needing a cesarean because my stomach cavity is already to small for bub to turn by himself...ekkkkkk! mamahannah -
Saturday, 5 April I'm glad that I made you feel better about your weight. You look great. The doctors have really been pushy with me about my weight telling me to stop eating carbs and to exercise. I eat less carbs then normal and exercise frequently, it's just my body type.
I'm sure you will snap back just fine after you have your little bean, you also have your age going for you as well.
Good luck :] girl-from-oz -
Wednesday, 2 April Poor thing, you dont need the pressure of everyone bothering you while in labour.
I think its a little insensitive that you were asked about the email in the 1st place.
Let me tell you, I wont be worrying about telling ppl vai email while im in labour mode.
What you can do within the next week or so, is send an email to your family and friends with stipulations.
something like: "we would love it if you were to come and visit after baby is born so we can enjoy the 1st moments of our daughters life as a family. As you are aware my hero in Iraq and I have not had much of this beautiful time together due to our family circumstance....etc"
Then no one can have a go at you for not sending an email.
The other thing is just ignore this request as its the last thing you will be thinking about, and im sure they will understand. Good luck sky -
Monday, 31 Mar I have no plans on sending an e-mail. My fiancee is going to call his mom and my sister and they will need to circulate it to the other immediate family members/friends.. and thats about it. I would not do a mass e-mail. And, we've told everyone that we do not want any visitors at home until we get situated with the little one. weloveourbaby -
Monday, 31 Mar I have plenty of people telling me I need to call them when I go to the hospital so that they can come. I tell them all yeah, but boy do I have a surprise for them. I do not want a bunch of people at the hospital with me. I am a private person and will work much better while in pain without having to smile and greet people. My BF is just the opposite...he wants everyone there. We've talked about it, and still have to work it out. But how I see it is I will be the one going through it, and my way is to have everyone come to the hospital after he is born! njstewy -
Monday, 31 Mar for the e-mail thing. .what I would do is that I would be like opps I forgot. .I had so much to do blah blah blah but that is what I would really do. .I mean I would want to do it either. .mostly what if you labor comes on fast and you go to the hospital right then mommyjenn -
Monday, 31 Mar Oh, I had her birth story posted on her page. On my children's tab. Sorry, I wasn't sure what you meant but thanks again. ~*GardenMommy*~ -
Monday, 31 Mar I'm very glad that my words lifted your spirits. I'm here anytime, even just to vent. I also want to thank you for your kind words as well. Hang in there, and Have a great week! JoJosFirst -
Monday, 31 Mar I say, do what you want and don't feel pressured! The last thing you're gonna be thinking about is sending emails when your about to leave for the hospital. lacilynn6 -
Monday, 31 Mar thanks, thats pretty much how i feel. why would he want his son to be around a jail, ever. yeah it sucks, but he is the one who made the choices to be where he is right now. mommyjenn -
Monday, 31 Mar I was supposed to be 38 weeks and 5 days but I think their counts were wrong. I should have been at exactly 38 according to them but according to my last AF I was 40 and according to my measurements I was almost 41. I think I was almost 41 because she weighed 8 lbs. I have always had smaller babies (5 lbs 1oz and 6lbs 1oz)But who knows because every pregnancy is different. I had to have repeat c-secs because with my first I failed to progress. I didn't understand what you meant when you typed on my page 'couldn't find this on your page'? mommyjenn -
Monday, 31 Mar Ty so much for the comment. Congrats to u 2. You don't have much further to go. How are you feeling?
