Addison Belle

Well, I haven't put anything here yet, so I thought I may need to, starting w/our birth story! I was originally due Dec. 8th. When I went to my 40wk check up on a Monday they told me to be at the hospital Thurs., Dec. 13th to be induced. Those next few days were so nerve racking! Jason and I got there at 4pm and as soon as I got there they inserted the first pill (Cevadil?) and done this 2-3 more times throughout the night! When I arrived I was 1cm 20%effaced. The night was awful. I couldn't sleep b/c I couldn't get comfortable and everytime I moved Addison went off the monitor and here would come the nurse. Drove me crazy! At 7am the next morning I was 2cm 40% effaced. So they started pitocin at 7am and broke my water at 7:52am. Then those awful contractions started! OMG!!! I got my epidural at around 10 something. What a relief. It was so neat to watch my contractions and feel NOTHING!!! They had to put the heart monitor on her head b/c she wouldn't stay on the monitor. It was amazing to me they could feel her, but she wouldn't come out! at 3:30 pm the nurse came in to check me at I was 4cm 80% effaced. She told me if I didn't progress anymore by 4pm they would be taking her by c-section. I just KNEW I would end up having one when they told me they were inducing me. Well, she came in at 4pm and of course she didn't budge! So they came in and doubled my epidural and I waited a what seemed like a while to come back and get me. When I got in OR I felt so sick so they gave me MORE stuff in my IV. Jason them came in w/me and I started to feel actual pain so they put me in what they called a twilight zone. I was out of it. I could hear all around me and see some stuff but it was too weird. When I got to recovery I begged the nurse to call Jason so he could tell me about my baby since I didn't get to see her! When I got to my room the nurse who had been w/me all day stayed overtime to bring me my baby b/c I didn't want wnyone else getting her before me! I was crying before she even got to me! When I seen her I couldn't believe she had been inside of me. It was unreal. She is 3 months old now and I am so in love w/her. There is no feeling like being her mommy! She is my world, heart and soul. I can't imagine my life w/out her!
