My husband and I started trying to conceive in March, and in the end of May I realized I hadn't had my period yet. I was about 2 days late and went to Walgreens over my lunch hour at work. I was going to wait for the next morning to take a test, but couldn't help myself!!! I took it in the bathroom at work quickly and put it back in the box in my purse. I went back to my desk and waited for a minute and when I checked the test the line was there!! I grinned like a fool for the rest of the afternoon. I am now 5 weeks and 3 days due February 7, my birthday! I already know that I will be having a C-section. When my son was born, he required a C-section due to his position and the doctor discovered a large setptum in my uturus. Basically this is tissue that hangs down from the top of my uturus. It has been there since I was born he says. I will need the c-section because he doesn't think my uterus will have enough strenght to contract effectively. Unfortunately it places me at a high risk of miscarraige, but everything went so smoothly with my son that I'm hoping for the same luck this time. My husband is hoping for another boy, but I would adore either. If we have a boy his name will be Callan Ephraim Grant, and if we have a girl she will be named after my grandmother, Eleanora (Elle or Ella) Jean Mary. I'm so excited for my first doctor's appointment on thursday. I will be 6 weeks that day. I'm hoping we get to see the little pea then. All we can do is praypraypray for a healthy full term baby!

Had the initial dr's appt today. Good news is that it appears my little bubble (as we're calling him/her for now) is implanted on the left side of my uterus and not on the septum. It was a little hard to tell. DR said that it appears via ultrasound i'm only 5 weeks and not 6 and wants me to come back on the 29th for another ultrasound. It was too early for a heartbeat. :-( But I'm excited to have another look see at the baby bubble! DR also said that I will be able to go to a regular OB or family doctor, but he wants to keep an eye on me too and check frequently for growth. I'm ok with frequent looks at my baby! I'm just hoping and praying for my little one to grow so I can see him/her in two weeks! I have to go to the lab and get bloodwork done (lab at a seperate location) tomorrow after work.
