Hi, I'm so excited! I'm desperate to have somone to talk to. So glad I found this site. I'm due somewhere between May 28 and June 4. Not so sure yet by dates it should be May but my HCG levels were only 147 so they guessed I was 3 weeks not 4. I just wish I felt pregnant, not that I want to feel sick, but it all just seems like a dream. I can't wait until I have proof- but I don't go back to the Dr. until Nov 2nd.

Yeah!!! I got to see my little lima bean on Friday. It's the most amazing thing I have ever seen. I just can't believe that little baby is living inside of me! The doc put me at 9w4d on Fri. so that changes my due date to June 2. I heard the heart rate at 168, I couldn't stop smiling. I just can't wait.. I felt so much better now that I've seen everything is o.k. The said I have a very small subchorionic bleed, but I've had no bleeding so I guess it will be o.k. Unfortunantly I woke up with a UTI ugh... they gave me some antibiotics, I hate taking any medication but I know it's the best thing to do (sorry baby bean). Hope everyone is doing well.

Sorry no updates in a while, for some reason my new Mac says "operation not supported" whenever I try to edit this part of my page. I'm still learning, but I love the Mac!!!

Anyway I went for a tummy check on the 30th, not much to say they checked my urine and the baby's heart rate, and asked me if I had any questions. Still waiting on my belly to grow, I currently just look pudgy, and I'm uncomfortable in my clothes but nobody would be able to tell I'm pregnant -at all. I know I'll regret this later but I'm ready for a little belly, it would be great if you could pick how big you are going to get and stop when you look adorable pregnant and never get to that oh my god I'm going to explode stage. I guess thats God's way of motivating you to push the baby out, if you weren't over it you'd have no positive motivation for going through the whole process of labor and delivery. Hope everyone is doing well. Lots of baby dust to my ttc friends!

Big 20 week Ultrasound scheduled for January 18th... I can't wait!!!

I FINALLY felt the baby move over the weekend :) I'm so excited now! I can't wait to meet my little man. Now we are just trying to think of a name. Boy's names are so hard... we want something rare but not wierd.

O.K. now he won't stop squirming...I guess I asked for it. It's all good though, I can't wait for his birthday he's starting to take up more then his fair share of space :)

I had a dr appt today and they set me up to be induced friday morning at 7am (unless I have him before then, which is possible with the way I feel).... anyway, just wanted to check in with you and see how your sweet little one is doing. hey everyone!! yes Baby Mara is here! We were induced on Thursday night due to high blood pressure at my NST, it was wayy HIGH!~ so they started the induction that night..then Friday morning started pitocin (wicked drug) and around 12 i asked for epidural, it worked so well but just a little too well because when i started to push at 5:30pm i couldn't feel a thing, pushed for 2 hours then they said with her being face up she prob wouldn't get over the pubic bone and i would need a c-section, needless to say i CRIED i was so sad, i didn't want one at all! ... 8:34pm 5lbs 110z. 18 inches Mara was born May 23, 2008~ i will post pics and more details on page if interested in teh next couple days..she is down to 5lbs 20z when we came home today, she likes sleeping too much and not eating like she should! she is going tomorrow for a jaundice check, she was fine then yesterday her numbers went up, so she isn't really peeing as she should, she has poops tho... :) thanks for ALL the caring messages!! i can't wait to hear who had thier baby and see stories and pics! it's so amazing how everything comes complete the minute you hear them or see them.. life is so much more meaningful for sure!! best wishes to you all!! Caleb is doing great!! He loves to eat, poop and sleep! Hahahaha! Some times, he likes to poop while eating and sleep while pooping....it makes it for an interesting day!

I had a lot of trouble when I first started (and sometimes now even) as well. I was getting really upset because Caleb would try to nurse, suckle for 2-3 seconds then pull away and just cry like crazy! The Lactate consultatnt said that I was engourged and she gave me a few tips. She said to use a hot compress for 5 min before feeding. It works GREAT!! And she said to pump as much as I can after he is done eating because the baby won't empty the breast but the more the breast empties, the more milk there is. She also recomended that I massage the knots in my breast because that is where the engourgement is and it helps to release the cloged milk.

What kind of troubles are you having? I also tend to get fustrated at night if Caleb doesn't latch on well and it's hard to deal with because he is hungry and I am tired. I'm trying a new technique to see if something can be done. I'm pumping as much as I can during the day so at night I can feed him pumped milk when he wakes in the middle of the night. I keep 3 2-3oz bottles in a little cooler by the bed so if he wakes up, I can quick feed him one. I haven't had any trouble with nipple confussion.

Oh, in case you don't know...the best way to heat the milk up (if you pump and store) is in a plastic milk bag in the sink. I tried heating the milk from a bottle under the sink but it do FOR EVER!!! Then I remembered my sister use to keep her milk in little milk bagies and it took seconds to heat the milk up. My sister recomended a brabd called Lansinoh because it has a double zipper so the bag doesn't leak when heating it up. I went to Taregt and found a box of 50 for about $7ish. So far, the work great!

Hey you! I am so glad that he didn't lose much! Johnny didn't do so well in the hospital because of jaundice and traumatic entrance into the world. He lost over 10% of his weight. He has not been gaining very well...but I am doing everything that I can. My milk production was halted from everything i went through. I am feeding, pumping and supplementing formula. Do you have a pump??!?! I am pumping a lot to fool my boobies into thinking that we need a high demand of milk. It's frustrating because sometimes I'll pump over 3 1/2 ounces and other times only a ounce. I know it's frustrating huh? What issues are you having?

it still hurts when i breastfeed. i tear up the first few min. when he latches on. I'm just starting to feel somewhat normal again. it helps having the staples out. I'm glad you and baby are doing good.

Oh my gosh!!!! Congradulations!!! He sounds like a very big and health baby! I bet you are so happy! If you are anything like me, you will be crying tears of joy for the next few weeks! Ethan is such a lovely name as well. It sounds like your delivery was just as quick as mine! I hope it went really well! rest up and give me details!!!

I am SO happy for you! SO happy. He was a good weight as well! Little Johnny is exactly 5lbs 14 oz right now. He lost a LOT of weight sadly because of everything but is doing MUCH better. I am SO happy for you. I know that things were so tough and I am just glad that things worked out so well. I can't wait to see pictures:)

OH my goodness!! You better go in and get checked. Its a really easy test that they do to see if it was your fluid. I thought a few weeks ago that mine broke so I went in and they just ran a swab down there and waited 10 minutes to see if it changed to positive. It didnt hurt and was very fast. And dont worry about being sent home, I have been sent home twice...this week. HA. good luck & PLEASE keep me posted!!

Hey.. my dr said im in "early labor".. I am 4cm, 60% effaced. I am getting real contractions (especially today)... My back was killing me on thursday (almost into tears) so when I went to the hospital, they checked me out and called my dr. but they checked my cervix when i went in & then again an hour later... since i had no change, they sent me home. I have been having harder and more steady contractions today. I am so confused on why they sent me home.. everywhere that i read says that 4cm is the first stage of active labor... I really dont understand. the nurse said not to go by consistent contractions, to go by the intensity. said not to come back in until my contractions are hard, standing up or laying down. said they should not ease up when i sit or lay. I am so confused. and when they sent me home, i was so disapointed. I called my mom crying over it. so to answer your question, yes im in labor but its apparently moving super slow.

hello! hope you nd your baby are doing great! I am having lots of pain in my back and lots of pain low down in my abdomen.. I am hoping today is the day. I went to the hospital thursday night thinking i was in labor but they sent me home. I was 4 cm dilated and 60% effaced but didnt have any cervical change while i was there. I was really disapointed when they sent me home. anyway, hope you have a great weekend :)

First appointment went good. baby Alexander is healthy. He was a little jaundice when he was born but he's all better now. I got a few more pictures up. I can't wait till you have your little guy.

I hope it is friday or even sooner for you. It's so amazing. I'm not getting much sleep, but my body is already adjusting and I don't really mind. The pain isn't as bad as it was. I don't think I'll even need to take the pain pills much anymore. We'll see after today. Our first big outing is to go to the baby doctor in a few hours. Keep me posted on how things are going with you.

He's here!!! Just got home from the hospital toady. 5/13/2008 at 12:24 PM 7lbs, 6 oz. 20.5 inches long. We had a little scare with the NST right before surgery. He was in distress and they could tell by it that the fluid around him was really low. I'm glad he's here and healthy. Now i'm just sore and really really tired. Hopefully I'll be able to get some sleep tonight. He's a good sleeper. His name is Alexander Jianluca Salgado.

I am also ready to have this baby. my hubby and i are walking every day to see if we can get things going. I am having contractions and last night they got a little stronger, but today my back is killing me! we are going to walk on the beach and see if that works!

So I got up to use the bathroom and as I was using it, I felt this weird "Poping" feeling inside my vagina. It felt almost like caleb kicked me in the cervix but it didn't hurt. I tried pushing a bit to see if anything came out but nothing. So I got up and headed for bed. Right before getting in bed, I tried to push a bit again and I got a gush of fluid!! I reached down and it was all clear. I went to the bathroom again to get a towel (fluids dripping down my leg) and when I wiped, I had this snotty fluid stuff which was more of my plug. Now I'm sitting on a towel with my water just gusging out!!! I can't believe it! I woke my husband up and he is running around like crazy getting our stuff together, picking up the house and he is telling me to go in the bedroom and watch our lamaze video! hahahaha!! The doc said to come in to the center so hopefully in 24 hours, Caleb will be here!!!! Holy CRAP!!!

I will write when I can! HOLY CRAP!!!

STILL no baby!!! Nathan has taken me out to the park 2 days in a row and has forced me to walk like crazy!! I get cramps while walking but nothing yet.....sigh! You aren't far behind me!!! Are you ready??
