WE ARE HAVING A BOY!!! We couldn't be more excited. Ryleigh is going to have a baby brother. We are thinking his name will be Carson Alexander. He pokes at me now and then I can't feel many squirms yet! I can't wait to meet my little man!
9-12-08
Ryleigh is 14 months and has a personality and attitude of her own. She is such a fun baby, but at times can be such a challenge! She RUNS everywhere and gets into EVERYTHING! She has learned to climb the stairs and come back down. It seems her vocabulary is growing with each passing day. Her latest word is "okay." She is so smart!
I am 18 weeks 2 days pregnant with baby number 2. All is going well, now that the morning sickness has gone away. I feel huge and tired all the time, but I guess that is to be expected. Afterall, I am chasing a 14 month old all day long! We will find out the sex in exactly one week! I will update then!
Bath time!
6-9-08
Ryleigh is walking!! She started taking several steps on Saturday (6-7) and today she just took off. Its so fun to watch her waddle! Also, Ron and I found out on Friday (6-6) that we are expecting baby #2! We are so excited. It is still very early but I am hopeful that baby #2 and I will remain healthy!
11 months old!

I haven't updated my page in a while. Here it goes! Ryleigh will be 1 year old in less than a month!!! Where has time gone??? She is a pure joy. She has 7 teeth with 2 more on the way! She is completely on table food and off the bottle. She crawls, cruises, stands by herself, and even takes a few steps now and then. She is a little timid, but once she gets the courage, she will be off and walking! She says "momma", "daddy", "baby", "doggie", and "bye". She also speaks a language of her very own. She speaks sentences but we have no clue as to what she is saying! She also has an attitude of her very own! Geez...I'm in trouble!

Ryleigh is crawling and cruising everywhere! I can't get her to sit still! She has learned to say "baby", its so cute. She loves to play our piano even though she can't see the keys. She just reaches up and pounds the keys. She has been a bit of a challenge sleep wise this past week. I think she is approaching a developmental leap, but I can some teeth coming through too. Poor baby. We are both so exhausted!
Also, Ron and I decided to start trying for baby #2. We are not desperately trying but we are no longer preventing it! So hopefully within the next few months we will get pregnant!

We got Ryleigh's Easter pictures taken and they turned out so cute! Here are just a few of my favorites!
2-27-08
Ryleigh will be 8 months in 4 days! She is now pulling herself up on everything and cruising the furniture. She is still trying to master the traditional crawl. She is getting into things that she is not suppose to and wails when we take things away. She is working on her top teeth and I pray they come in soon.
2-16-08
Ryleigh is 7 1/2 months old and has started standing by herself with no hands! This past week she has also started sitting up from lying down and clapping her hands. It is so fun to watch her! She is growing and learning so quickly!

7 months old!
2-1-08
Ryleigh will be 7 months old tomorrow! She cut 2 teeth this week! Her two bottom teeth have popped through, finally! She also pulled herself up yesterday. She was sitting in front of her walker and I watched her grab the tray, pull up, and stand! I was so amazed! My baby is getting so big! Time to child-proof the house...
1-08-08
Ryleigh had her 6 month doctor visit yesterday and she is 16lbs 4oz and 26 1/4 inches long. The doctor said she is very strong and right where she should be developmentally. She sits up, scoots around on her tummy and rolls to get where she wants to go! She loves to babble and squeal. I can't believe a half year has gone by already!
12-20-07
Ryleigh is almost 6 months old! I can't believe how time flies. She is a joy to have around (most of the time...lol!) and is the love of my life. She is not sleeping particularly well these days but she sure loves to eat! She is rolling, scooting, and gets frustrated when she tries to crawl. I dont think it will be long until she figures it out! I am going to prepare now! My family and I are excited to share Ryleigh's first Christmas together.

5 Months old!

Halloween 2007
Its a girl!
6/18/07- 39 weeks- Went to the doctor today. Little more than 50% effaced and no dilation. Good news is baby dropped a little more. My doctor predicted she will be born 5 days after my due date. I hope she is here sooner!
6/22/07- 39 weeks 4 days- I have been walking twice a day and having "relations" every other day. I have some stomach cramps and a bad back ache today, so hopefully it means things are progressing.
6/25/07- 40 weeks- Today is my due date. Went to the doctor this morning and there is no change! About 70% effaced and dilated just a fingertip! How depressing. I was so upset, I cried for hours. If I make it to next Monday, which I think I will, I am scheduled for an ultrasound and nonstress test (NST) to make sure the baby is ok. I am praying to god that she comes this week.
Birth Story:
I was scheduled for a NST and ultrasound on Monday, July 2 (1 week after EDD). I went to my appointment as planned, at 10:15 am. I had the NST done and everything seemed to be good. Then I went to the ultrasound room and waited for my doctor. She came in and started by placing the probe on my lower abdomen, expecting to see a head. To both of our surprise, it wasnt there! She moved the probe up my belly to just below my rib cage, and there it was! My baby was breech! The doctor said "your baby is upside down." My first thought was, why didnt we know this earlier?! My husband, sitting in the chair next to me didnt quite understand. He asked "what does that mean?" The doctor responded "you're going to have a c-section today. I will call the hospital and let them know you are on your way." Caught totally off guard, my husband and I got in the car and drove directly to the hospital. I was a bit nervous, but excited that I was going to have my baby. We got to the hospital at 11:30 and I was hooked up to the baby monitor and an IV. Since I had eaten before the doctor appointment, I had to wait 6-8 hours before they would do the c-section. Finally after waiting what seemed like forever, I went to the OR at 5:40. At 6:00pm on the dot, my baby girl was born. She weighed 6 lbs 15 oz and was 20 1/4 inches long. She is beautiful!
