I am a 34 yr old mom of 5 children. We have 4 boys ages 8, 11, 12, and 15 and a little girl who was born in December. I am engaged to wonderful man that I have been with for almost 5 years. We are now planning on trying to have one more child. I love having children and the bonus is I get to stay home and raise them. I do home daycare so that I can still earn a living while raising my children.

HI Amy, I am in Waterloo. I also know how it is in a house full of boys! I am having a girl finally after 4 boys. My pregnancies have also gotten more dificult. No muscle tone left to hold them in I think!Thank goodness I have already been told that I will go a minimum of 2 weeks early. So..maybe 2 to 4 weeks left! I have Braxton HIcks all the time, some down right painful. Thats hard when I am in the middle of a haircut at work. Last night at work I kept having those nice lil electric shocks from her head rolling on the pelvic floor.I am really ready to be done! ~Trish

Sure, it's possible that there could be another baby hiding in there, but more likely, you have more amniotic fluid than the average. Ask the doctor....maybe he'll do another u/s and check your amniotic fluid level and check to see if there is somebody else hiding in there! Sending pink baby dust to you!

That's where I go and a girl I work with also goes to them right now. She got her ultrasound at 25 weeks and Dr. Belsheim is the one who ordered it for her. She also went to prenatal vision and the pictures are really neat. She's having a boy next month and I think she did her 3d ultrasound at 29 weeks. In one of the pictures he was snuggling up to her placenta and resting his head on it. I go to the dr on Monday for my 16 weeks check up and I'm going to ask about getting one. If they say no then I will ask again at 20 weeks. I leave for California when I'm 24 weeks so I would like to have one done before I leave just to make sure everything is ok. I also want to know what I'm having. I live in Ankeny...Dawn

Hi there. I see you live in Indianola. Is that Indianola, Iowa? If so they have a place here called prenatal vision ultrasound and they do the 3d/4d ultrasounds. Good Luck. My dr won't give me an ultrasound until I'm 20-24 weeks along. It's so hard to wait.

hi there again, hoe your doing ok. i heard babys heart beat on thurs, it was great. put my mind at rest too. i have got my c-section booked on the 28th december now and i have got to take asprin everyday until i have him/her to prevent me getting pre-clampsia again as i did with jack. i hate asprin as well.never mind.lol. head aches are still very abd though. he said i have no choice about having a section due to my other 2 emergancy c-sections. at least i know when im having him/her. how are u anyway. x x

hi there again, i have been getting very very bad headaches too. can u tell me what those tablets are your taking, i live in the uk(norfolk) and we only have paracetamol tablets which dont really budge my hadaches. thibk i have felt baby fluttering. not sure though, how are u doing. sam x

hi there, i thought it was impossible to feel your baby move at 10 weeks, i went for my scan at 10 weeks and the baby only had stubs for legs and arms and the doctor said it was IMPOSSIBLE to feel any movements yet as te baby is not strong enough for u to feel it. i have had 2 boys so this is my 3rd, im nearly 14 weeks and have not felt him/her move yet, i think i do then its just wind,lol. im a bit confused now. with my other 2 boys i felt them kick at about 15 weeks so im expecting the same around this time.im measuring bigger as well my my baby is still only 14 weeks. im soooo confused. please explain. thanks take care, sam x x

Well you are in my prayers and I think that when we are high risk for this in the first place it seems that does come earlier. keep count of them and time them If you are having them every 10 min. I would for sure call and talk to the doctor. I thinking that that is still to close in time because its not normal to have BH even at this time. I think. I haven't started having any. But I usually start mentioning it when I felt them. They can monitor to see if they are anything real. Better to be safe than sorry I say. Take Care. Keep me updated. I will praying for you.

hey, Dont I know what you mean. Im for ever visiting ER at the end of 2nd trimester and during the 3rd. I have had to get there help to regulate the meds that hold off my contractions. I had my last baby at 37 but I felt like crap because of all the meds they give you. I don't usually have to stay in the hospital because I have caught it in time. But. I always worry because it happens sooner with the BH symptoms. Does your too?

That weird tight cramping. I had it all day yesterday and I called my doctor and she said to drink more water. For me the pain is not as bad as period cramps but they are there with pressure, just uncomfortable. I feel your pain...

We are a blended family, but mine were way young when we got together. I was single and had several out of wedlock. So when we married he took 2 as his own in adoption when they were 9mth and 2yrs. He had one from his prev. marraige and so you see we had 4 blended but wanted a big family with ours combined so that this one will be 4+our 4 = 8 I have never really thought about the number but it is big. We don't mind, kids are happy and excited. Congrats on your gues first baby.

That good u got head start. I have lot freinds who is going to have their baby they told me when mine is born they more happy to help . Oh i work as photographer for the school i work during school. i'm off when school off so that i'm home with my boys. a teen he lot for me .
