This is our first baby and we are very excited! The first appointment is April 2nd. It'll be interesting for sure. We do miss our family in Michigan but get to visit in June YEAH!!!!

July 23rd-23 weeks
I thought I'd sit and try to figure out how to put the updates on the front page and I'm feeling good right now!! I called and found a new doctor, they can't get me in until next Tuesday the 29th. I'm just not gonna mention that we're moving because I need to have the piece of mind that everything is good with the baby. Just waiting on something to become available to rent out in Wyoming. Luckily our lease isn't up yet on our apartment here(that turned out to be a blessing). It isn't up until November, but we definitely want to be moved by then and would miss each other WAY too much by then. Hope all goes well with our move, and it will as long as we keep our faith in God.

July 29th - 24.5 weeks

Just got back from my Dr. appointment and it went very well. I was nervous to tell him I was moving because I've had a hard time tracking down an office that would see me for 2 months or less, lots of rejection calls. He couldn't believe that I was turned away and haven't been seen since May 28th. They weren't rushing me, everyone was very nice. The baby's heart beat was 150 bpm. My weight was 132- a 16 lb gain so far-normal. I was "measured" for the first time and that is normal. He talked about contractions and what to do if I feel them. I was concerned I may have a bladder infection-the test was inconclusive but he wrote me the rx anyway. He advised that we move before 34 weeks because travel can be extra hard at that time. Also wants to see me every 2 weeks. This is exciting because it makes me feel way closer to the finish line. My husband is going to look at a house for us after work today. Hope it all looks good, then we can get the buying ball rolling again and get moved before 34 weeks!! It better happen sooner than that-I miss my hubby. I had a dream this morning that I was waiting for my toast to pop and Pete came and cuddled up behind me with a big hug and kiss. I can't wait to see him- GOD please watch over him and keep him safe, and put your blessing on our house hunt, thank you for everything you've given us, AMEN

Well....I found the nature of the messes in those early weeks made me want to run a load of wash every day, so I would be happy enough with buying a four-pack, or maybe 2 four-packs of onesies in each size. Lots of sales this time of year, and I keep getting coupons for the Carters outlet. That's my fave brand! They are better quality cotton than Gerbers by far. Gerbers shrink more and get scratchier with repeated washings. Carters stay soft and don't seem to shrink. So sad my 6 yr old is about to grow out of the Carters line of clothing.
Baby tub: I had one and used it. I kept it in the big tub in case of splashes, and it did help to support a floppy infant. When she was old enough to stand, she kept standing up in the baby tub, and I was afraid she'd get hurt trying to climb around the tub, so I put it away and that's when she graduated to the big tub. I did try a sink bath one time, per grandparent advice. Baby and I were both crying by the end of it! YES, you can do without most of what's out there these days, but some things just make sense! One more: I was _very_ happy with a $30-40 booster seat at the table instead of a big bulky high chair. Less to clean, portable, and you can pull baby right to the same table that YOU sit at. There's one that reclines, and baby can sit in that at about 4 mos--That was when I had my first meal w/o baby in lap. She just wanted to see what was going on at the table!

15 onzies is a good number. I have about 25 sleepers.lol. They are all gently used hand me downs from friends, so I am set on that. I do have to get some regular outfits though. In Ohio we have cold winters so sleepers are a must.

I can't remember what I used with the other 2 but I have been checking out some on the Babies R Us website. I will probably get something that is not too pricy but comfy for the baby.

Probably about that many.. 8-15 and if you need more then you can go out and get some more. I got my baby a tub. Not sure what would be the best kind but I got the Fisher Price Rainforest tub. I have a pic posted on my profile pic section if you want to take a look. Never used it before so I wouldnt be able to tell you if it works well.

Well, the fight with my job is over and they won. As of last week h/r had dropped everything but this Sat my boss told me that I had to report to a meeting on Today, so when I arrived my boss was there along with h/r and the company supervisor. Anyhow, I was forced to sign the excessive absence paper or I was going to be terminated ( even though I had drs excuses and also they counted the approved time 2 days I had in June against me) they said that It is all considered excessive absences to the company whether it was approved or not. Also, I was slammed with a insubordination paper, which will remain on my file forever. If I get 1 more insubordination I will be fired immediately. I received that for refusal to initially sign the paper. Anyhow, they got me and thats it. I felt like I was attacked and they had an excuse for everything that I said. I was so strong before but I broke down and started to cry and told them how I was good to the company for 8 years with a clean h/r file and I was being treated unfairly. Anyway, today I fell low and taken advantage of. They allso made me submit my maternity leave letter , which I plan on leaving the last week of Sept now if I last that long now. The whole thing sickens me; I just can't wait till my new baby comes and I will forget about that job forever. I guess I will stay till next month until I am either harrassed by my boss until I resign or they find a reason to terminate me. I know you all are probably sick of this story as I am also, but I wanted to thank everyone who has supported me and given me advice. I am just really upset. I feel even worse that I broke down today and the supervisor said that If I was not pregnant I would have already been fired because of my attitute and disrespect to my boss, but that she is cutting me slack because I am emotional. Anyway, maybe one of you can learn something from my rotten experience. I just don't know anymore! They even suuggested I take a leave earlier. Oh well, I guess there is nothing more to say.

for your itchy belly.....start rubbing some good quality cream or oil into your tummy, it will feel great, and help with the stretch marks. Shea butter, coconut oil or evening primrose oil are great (just pop open the capsules and rub in the oil) Hope that helps.

oh no, not a personal questions at all! Hey, we're all in the same boat here, lol.

jennafifi - Wednesday, 30 July
lol, I really want to try and do it all natural. Most people I know have done it all natural and they love the experience. Baby and mom being wide awake and in your arms....it just seems so awesome. My best friend had an epidural with her first, and her hard labor lasted forever because she couldn't feel when to push. Her second one she had no choice, she was already so dilated, and hard labor only lasted like 30min. But she was so uptight and mad about not getting an epidural that they gave her some sort of relaxant to calm her @$$ down. She was so groggy after her little girl was born that she could barely hold her...I want to be wide awake for the experience! But I did tell my hubby that if I'm absolutely begging for it and it's not too late to get someone to give it to me, lol. I handle pain pretty well (although I know this will be like nothing I've ever felt before, lol!), so I really want to try it. Besides that, it'll give me bragging rights, haha! But honestly, how I really convinced myself is the thought that women did it for centuries without pain killers...I can do it too! :BIGGRIN
