Wednesday, 6 August I just read that you had your baby. YAY!!! Congratulations on your baby girl. I love her name. I still have 3 months to go but I am getting so excited. carolynjh -
Thursday, 31 July Hey there, I'm not one that's big on induction either, it's just that the placenta will start to calcify and not provide nourishment enough for the baby sometime usually around 41-42 weeks. Also, if you happen to be a smaller person bone structure wise, they worry that the baby will be too large for your pelvis and baby's shoulders may get stuck. Don't be afraid to ask your doc what the reasons are for you. Other reasons are impending preeclampsia and anyone who has diabetes...hope this helps, but if your doc starts to talk about induction, just ask for one as late as he is comfortable giving you one
Mine is scheduled for 8 days overdue. williams08 -
Monday, 21 July Awww, thanks! Here is wishing you all the best in these last couple of days. Everything is going to be all worth it when you get her in your arms!! babybrendon -
Thursday, 17 July thanks for gettin back to me. it's okay that it took a while. yes i did have the strep b test done and it was negative so i am thankful for that! the doctor hasn't said anything else about the baby's weight since my last sono. i am kinda worried though because i gained 5 pounds in 1 week and 5 more in the next week. i know that weight gain is normal is pregnancy obviously but i am gaining it so fast now and am scared that the baby is getting hUGE :) although i have no problem having a big baby....i am just scared that if he is too big then it will cause complications during child birth. I know that my doctor has to know what he is doing but sometimes i feel like he needs to check more things out. i guess i am just a paranoid first time mommy. lol. i hope all is well with you and we should be giving birth soon!!!!

Thursday, 17 July Actually I have to say that my husband's son was born 10 lbs and my doctor thought this baby was around 8 lbs last week when he checked me...He ended up being 6lbs 14oz! I was shocked at how small he was but very grateful. sherryanne -
Wednesday, 25 June Hiya, my baby was estimated at 5 pounds 15 ounces at 34 weeks and 5 days, although this may be a little off as she appears to have followed my husband and I and have a big head!! lol, her head measured 39 weeks and 2 days! babyBrendon -
Wednesday, 25 June I had an ultrasound last week and they said he measured at 6 pounds 1oz so our babies are about the same by now. my original due date it july 30th. okay now i have a question for you...what exactly is the strep test? i have a doctors appointment next monday and they will probably do that then. what do they do and do you know what its for? sorry if i am bothering you I just figured i would ask since you just got it done...sorry you werent prepared though :) thanks liltee -
Wednesday, 25 June I had a growth ultrasound done on Monday 6/23/08 and they said around 5lbs he is showing about 1 week behind where he should be but then again he was not being cooperative for the tech to measure him so I wounder how accurate they are. jekajoy -
Wednesday, 25 June My little one is 5 lb 4 oz from the ultrasound measurement today. They said that is on the small size, like the 15% percentile. But I was 5 lb 13 oz at term. I also had my beta strep test today unprepared! taysonrex -
Monday, 2 June Hey I didn't fail my glucose test, however he said that I am borderline so I needed to watch my diet. I have only gained 1 lb in the last 6 weeks. Sweet huh? number2intheoven -
Monday, 2 June I will try that because it's killing me lol. Thanks taysonrex -
Thursday, 8 May Hey did you get your results from the 3 hour glucose test yet? taysonrex -
Thursday, 1 May Good luck on your 3 hour glucose, I had mine today. Good idea about the book thing, I didn't think about that until the dr said something when I went in. It was really boring, luckily, one of the dr's had an emergency c-section (well, not luckily about that) but I was able to talk to some of the girls that were waiting to see that dr so it passed a little bit of time. I would take a book though, because it was really boring sitting there with nothing to do. mjeans -
Wednesday, 2 April I saw your message about weight gain and I wished I'd only gained 14lbs!!! I've gained 23 already...yikes! My dr. doesn't seem concerned as I'm retaining fluid a bit too and I'm active and eating a well balanced diet...my dr. told me she'd gained 60 which made me feel better, but is certainly not a goal I'm looking to hit...its all good and I figure this is the only time in our lives that we don't have to worry about the weight gain, so enjoy!!!!! Tuesday, 29 Jan Hi I am getting headaches in the morning too, slightly annoying as we can't take anything. My sinuses are a bit blocked so think it may be to do with that

Tuesday, 29 Jan I am 14 weeks today and have been getting headaches for the last couple of weeks as soon as i wake in the morning! They go away when i take headache tablets but i dont want to rely on them so am trying to drink more water like others have suggested.....hope it works xxx jellybean2008 -
Tuesday, 29 Jan Early on I got migraines and headaches. For some reason lately, I am getting them again (almost 14w). It is normal to get them, esp. when there is a surge of hormones.
I read that water may be a part of it but I noticed that if I don't eat, my blood sugar drops and after a little time, I get the headaches. It is very important to eat a well balanced, esp. consuming protein and iron. What also may be triggering the headaches may be lack of rest or stress.
Try to take it easy and focus on your diet and drink water throughout the day to see if you have any changes. I see that when I take care of myself, stay hydrated and eat smaller meals throughout the day, I am fine.
Good luck
