Optimal Fetal Positioning is a must read. It explains the physiology of how the baby is best postioned and the excercises to get baby there and keep baby there. It is short and sweet and an easy read. Changed my whole thinking of Labor, it just made sense.

Yeah this is my 1st too! At my 12 weeks scan my baby measured a week bigger than my dates, then at scans i had at 17 weeks and 19 weeks baby was right on target; now 8 weeks later the baby has gone alot bigger! Lol! I got the gestational diabetes test next thursday, see if that shows anything up! I was born 11 lb 14 oz so im happy to settle at 8 pounds Lol!
Have the docs given you an explanation as to why some babys are bigger than others?
Natural birth? You're braver than me! I try not think of the birth yet! I start bricking it when i do! Lol! Is 7lbs 6oz the weight the docs expect your boy to be?

Hiyah, I had an ultrasound today, im 27 weeks and 1 day, my baby weighed 3lbs 4oz and is measuring 29 weeks 4 days! Im on target for an 8 pounder! You're not alone in the big baby department! Lol! They are gonna re-scan me at 32 weeks, are they gonna scan you again nearer the birth? Hope ya doin well, take care xxxxx

Hi! I had an ultrasound at 25 weeks and the baby measured 2 lbs 5 oz. then. They said that she was in the 80th percentile and measured about a week ahead. Remember all the percentiles and everything are averages and the weights they give you are not exact. And some babies are bigger than others, just like kids and adults. My doctor told me that early ultrasounds like 7 weeks are better judges of due date than later ones. Hope that helps! Congrats on your little boy!!

Hi there! With my daughter she measured 2 weeks big on all the ultrasounds. If my due date was off it wasn't by more than a week though so if that was it it wasn't all of it. She was born 10 days early and was a normal size. Sometimes due to the amount of fluid inside you the ultrasound can be off by a week or two in either direction. It's quite possible that your due date is not off at all and your baby is the perfect size, but due to distortion from the amniotic fluid the ultrasound machine thinks the baby is bigger.
