Friday, 21 Mar Hey Adam and Vicki - I hope all is going well with you guys! Thanks for your message, I really appreciate it!
I hope all is going smoothly for you - I got to see my baby boy's face again last week - he's starting to put on baby fat! very cute.
The back has been a little better, but I'm still not able to walk long distances or stand for too long, and I managed to pull a muscle in my belly - the doc says' there's nothing they can do until after he's born... *sigh*
anyway, keep well! nancy26 -
Tuesday, 19 Feb Hi Adam, Thanks so much for you message! Wonderful to hear from you!
How is Vic holding up? I hope all is going easily for her!
We had our scan this morning and...
It's a BOY!!! We're so thrilled! Can see he has his dad's mouth, every little body part is PERFECT. Doc says he's going to be tall like dad! We are so thrilled! I have to go back for another scan though, as they diagnosed me with a low lying placenta this morning, so just want to know whether it will have moved up by then. It's not covering the cervix right now, but if it does in 9 weeks time I'll have to make arrangements for a caesarian, which I'm not happy about at all :(
Had a wonderful holiday! Was SO amazing in Iceland! Didn't get to see the Northern Lights unfortunately but saw everything else from the Geysirs to the Golden Waterfall - got to play in snow!
Anyway, hope to hear from you soon! nancy26 -
Thursday, 7 Feb Adam, I'm so thrilled for you n V ;) that is AWESOME news! Well done! You get your next scan the day before I do! Boohoo! so do you want to know?
I can't help myself, have to know!
I've also suffered with very bad back pain - as long as she's not bending a lot or picking up heavy things, she should be alright - as little as sweeping house sets mine off, so I really sympathise!
Good luck to you!
All is going wonderfully here ;) very mild symptoms if at all, and baby is moving and kicking a lot. Is V feeling baby at all? If not, she will soon!

Friday, 1 Feb Hi, I lost my appetite this time around and I also lost weight my belly was still growing but I was losing weight in my arms and legs etc. I just started putting the weight on and I am now 30 weeks. at 18 weeks I was still down about 6 lbs from my pre-pregnancy weight. Some days now I eat alot and other I don't feel like eating, I eat when I am hungry. nancy26 -
Friday, 1 Feb On that note, my appetite wavers - some days I want to eat like a horse, and other days I don't feel like food and must force myself to eat... And my little one has got nothing but thumbs up so far from the Docs... I think that bit is quite normal.. ;) nancy26 -
Friday, 1 Feb Hi Adam, firstly, kudos for signing up on behalf of your lady and you ;) and secondly, congrats on your impending bundle of joy ;)
The shrinking belly from my reading seems to happen to quite a few people, probably because the baby moves - in the next couple of weeks she should be feeling flutters, or even distinctive little kicks (they feel a bit like muscle twitches at first)...
As for the rock hard belly, I have no idea - the belly should be quite hard - that's the expanding womb, but if it's rock hard... I think you should call your doctor and go for a checkup - it's never silly, especially if it puts your mind at ease...
Good luck to you both - let me know how things go?
