Having my second c-section the 27th of February. I `m not sleeping due to the usual late-term pregnancy discomforts. I `m eager for `mom, ` my husband `s mother, to get here this Saturday. She `s flying in from out of state to say with us for two weeks and help out. I `m not terribly impatient for my surgery date to arrive, it `ll come soon enough. I `ve waited this long, a few more days isn `t going to hurt- much.

Monday, 25 Feb

Adam `s here! Just got home from my c-sectoin yesterday. He arrived on the 22nd and his dad is over joyed and beaming. Both of them are adorable! He `s 7 lbs, 3oz, 19 3/4 inches long, dark brown hair an deep blue eyes (so far). Never seen a man so crazy about a baby as my hubby and he `s been positively amazing!

It `s been three weeks now. Adam `s umbilical cord fell off sometime last night when we were all napping. He `s gained a full pound and grown a full inch! Doctor says he shouldn `t be eating as much as four ounces a feeding at his young age, but Adam disagrees. He `s chugging down four ounces of breast milk a feeding from a bottle and sometimes expecting more. He `s sleeping up to three or four hour stretches sometimes, but mostly two. He `s still a little angel, doesn `t cry unless he `s needing burped or hungry. The rest of the time he `s smiling like a milk-faced glutton in his sleep, as content as a snuggle bug in a rug. He loves the afghan I made him, cuddles against it and dozes right out. I `m doing fine. I still have the tiniest bit of pain when standing up from the floor or doing any major bending to pick something up. Most the time I don `t notice it. Biggest problem for me lately is the drain and fatigue I `m getting from having to use the breast pump every two hours. There `s a lot of benefits to having it, so I don `t mind, but definitely feeling the drain on my body from expressing so much for storage. This hospital grade rental pump has definitely been worth the cost of $2.00 a day. I `m very glad I pre-stocked on storage containers, we `ve gone though most of the six month supply I had put away. It `s a good feeling to know he `s getting the very best, even when mom `s asleep and dad `s feeding him. Also a comfort to know that he `s getting all he needs right up from the start of every feeding instead of having to nurse at the breast for many minutes to get past the foremilk. I saw your post from awhile back on the adoption page, I myself have had such a hard time TTC that I am starting to look into trying to adopt a baby. I am from SC is there anywhere you would recommend looking ect... Are you still concidering being a surrogant?

He's getting close to two months old now. He's filled out a lot. His skin is no longer loose and wrinkly but instead has cute little kissable dimples on his pudgy rolls. He's learning how to smile and still giggles in his sleep. He's a good baby and rarely cries unless hungry or has a bit of gas. The little chubba's almost 12 lbs now and has grown 3 inches.

I returned my hospital grade breast pump that I'd rented. After a month our deep freezer is full! It was getting crazy. Only using the pump I was putting out close to 50 oz of milk within a 24 hour period. And sadly, they no longer give shots to stop your milk. Instead, they recommend going cold turkey. It was painful! All in all things are good. All pain from my c-section is gone. Having some minor back trouble that's slowly improving though exercise. I hate squats and crunches!

I just had to pop in and say Hi and Congrats! SO CLOSE for you now! You must be so excited to meet your little man! I’ve been following your comments in the forums, and just wanted to stop by and say I really appreciate your honesty. You’re not afraid to tell it like it is, and it’s a rare and special quality in this age of appeasing the masses. You’ve got your head screwed on straight and a wonderful ability to look at things objectively. Thank you for being a breath of fresh air. You’re going to make an AWESOME mom ;) Congrats again!
