December was the happiest month I can ever remember. Russell and I got pregnant, found out, and shared our very happy news with friends and family right away. I was showered with love and congratulations and was downright giddy most of the time. The nausea and exhaustion were more than I ever expected in the first trimester, but I'm still as happy as ever.

It's a girl! Rose Emiliana is due to arrive on August 28th!

The 2nd trimester was great, although I was tired. I was so nice to see my tummy getting rounder...and I got to feel her move every day. She responded to Russell's voice, my students, and avante garde jazz.

When trimester three came, I got so tired. Some days, I slept 20 hours! I thought that this is why people got sick of being pregnant. That was until I got diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes. For the first few days, I was so worried, angry, and confused. I couldn't figure out what to do and how to keep Rose safe. Well, within days, I started feeling better. I changed my diet right away, and after consulting with a nurse and dietician, I started being more active. I got a blood meter, and I haven't had one elevated blood sugar since I've started! Yipee. I'm now feeling better than any other part of my pregnancy...excluding the weirdo pains.

Russell and I just finished the nursery. My favorite part was when we created name art for over her crib! Now, we're just waiting to meet baby Rose and take her home.

He didn't catch anything yesterday, but he is back trying again this morning. I have been in more discomfort then I've ever been. Normal laying down (if I don't have a pillow between my legs) then I feel like my legs want to break off. This when I did my mid-night bathroom run, I had these sharp pains in my right side, but it wasn't the baby moving, it reminded me of the pains I felt when my period would come because I was one who had HORRIBLE CRAMPS (the reason I've been on BC for many years). And lastnight I also had bad pain in my lower back... but it was constant, not something that started and stopped. LaWaiian thought I did a lot of walking yesterday, but really I didn't... we just saw a movie so I sat for like 2 hrs. Nothing I don't normally do. It was weird.
He always predicts by this Friday I will be in labor. If this is the start of pre-labor, I WANT THIS BABY OUT NOW!!!

Yes, the week by week blogs... they talk about the craziest things, like self checking dialtion. I have an idea how, but lets just say my hands won't be touching my own cervix. LOL.

America Fererra is soo pretty. She was stunning in the movie (much better then they made her appear in the first movie). What was she annoyed with the girl for? LOL.

Yes he's off to Florida to teach a coarse, I just dropped him off at the airport at this bloody hour!

That doll looks like the one we had in our birthing class although ours looked like a rel baby that one just looks creepy.

Doing pretty good. I started having a few contractions each day. Nothing really painfull or consistent. I was dialated to 2cm on Tuesday. They schedule my repeat c-section for 09/16 but we will see if I make it to that point. I am going shopping for the last minute baby items. We got some gift cards from family this week. I finally feel like I am ready for her to come. Hopefully your little one will hurry up. I know you want to see see her.

I had my second baby shower yesterday. It was with friends it was great I had a really good time! I got a box of baby wipes i think it was 600 and i got a huge box of diapers! yay! Some really cute outfits! We are really racking up at these things!

We ordered some border for the nursery, this was about 3 weeks ago well it still hasn't even shipped! I'm a little irritated! Don't these people know i'm on a deadline??

How has your day been? I'm working today, ugh!

I've got a dr's appt tomorrow, hopefully everything goes well!

i'm officially tapping my fingers and kinda freaking out now that the clock has turned over to the 24th and i'm doing the birth the 25th. i'm now scared. i was super excited. its the pain, possible cut or tear, the huge head, my poor vag. its kinda different not knowing when labor is going to happen to me now i think cause you don't have time to overthink the actual process until you start going into it. i've had time to overthink its going to officially happen tomorrow.

Oh wow, that sounds like no fun at all

At least you know its gonna happen any time now...before you know it you'll be holding your little beauty in your arms and your world will be completely different in so many wonderful ways! yay! So exciting. Sounds like you go to have a nice refreshing day though, Russell sounds like a real sweetheart.
We are doing good, October is starting to teethe which is crazy because she is just 3.5 months, I had no idea it could start this soon...she's handling it pretty well so far but I sure hate to see her upset

Well I sure wish you the best of luck with labor and I cant wait to hear about it. Take care and get as much rest as you possibly can!

Sorry to hear about your terrible morning - I suppose a false alarm is worse than nothing happening! Hopefully the next time will be the real thing :)

Luckily you have Russell to cheer you up :) I cannot wait to buy some nice clothes after Adam is born, but I have to lose some weight first! I can picture myself wearing high heel pretty sandals hmmm - just a few more days (Hopefully :))

We are having lunch at my inlaws today - yay no cooking for me. Not that I cooked yesterday. I was a bit sick so my hubby (Wayne) made us some vegetable soup.

Yeah, it's disappointing waiting for labor to really start. I'm good...I haven't really had any contractions or anything. Today is my bday and I kept thinking he'd come today just because it would be funny to share a bday with him...Murphy's Law or something...but NO...nothing. I swear I'm gonna be preggers forever. We went to a nice dinner, though, so that was good. Sometimes I guess it's just better to get out and about and get our minds off it...eh?! Keep me posted. I wish you a speedy labor and delivery=). I am shitty today. really bad. last night just did me in. im so done. i went to church and that helped but it got old hearing, "shauna, oh my gosh when are you hving that baby" i wanted to deck somebody. not very Christlike. lol. that is so sweet what hubby did. i wish we lived closer so we could exercise together after and go shopping and stuff. i don't know anyone who has or will have a baby close to mine. i mean even 6 months makes a difference ya know? i hope your contractions get stronger:) r u doing better tonight?

Awe... hang in there. I am doing fine. I just picked up the babies crib!!! YEAH!! We have been looking forever to find one like Kloe and Travis's 4-in-1. Hard to find similar style and colour but knew once I did to get it and I got it at an awesome price too!! I gave myself until Feb to find one but when I saw this one I knew it was it... now I get to set that up tomorrow and then go out and get the decorations to get the jungle/diego theme going in the boys room!!! YIPE more stuff for me to do to pass the time. Going to storybook gardens on Monday though with the kids. Big park with lots of equipment, nursery rhymes with real animals, water park, train ride, and merry-go-round.... Kloe loves that place so spending a family day there. Can't wait!

HOw are you? I'm sure you must have had Rose by now! I never see you on, so I just assume.

Sorry it took so long to reply. I have been helping a friend. Her estranged h turned off the power on her and the two children. That was bad enough, but then he left on vacation without so much as a word. He cares nothing about his kids. I have been helping her to straighten things out. It's been quite a week!

Other than that, I am doing quite well. Not much happening with me yet. I changed my due date on here to reflect the latest from the doc. i didn't want to move to week 41! I feel like everyone is having their babies, and I don't want to be all alone, LOL. How pathetic, eh?!?!

I hope everything is well with you. I'll understand if you can't reply individually. Having a baby can keep you really busy. take care, and enjoy your time with Rose and Russell. Take care.

aw, well poop. it will happen soon damnit! i went with this one tour yrs ago w stone sour, systematic, ra and another with hed pe, stereomud, breaking benjamin, and some others...zachs being a brat and said since i'm on the computer again, gosh why dont you date her then since you'd rather talk to her than hang out with me! someone better call the wahmbulance! hahaha..the bacon wrapped steakings are grilling right now.......twice baked potatoes in the oven....green beans in the microwave NUM NUM.. you can't tell i'm from nebraska at all!!! hahaha.

Wow, week 39 got busy again! That's what happens when I don't check back for awhile!

I've behaved and have only cut my hair once this pregnancy, and it was only a trim. I will probably cut it a lot shorter once the baby is here. It takes too much time to deal with.

I only mowed the lawn today. Haven't gotten much done. Allen is still working on the piping. He had a horrible time getting through the concrete. Now he told me he is going to turn off the water soon. Right as I'm getting ready to start dinner, no doubt.

Have a fun time going out! Sounds like a blast!
