Baby Rose is HERE!

Rose is the most amazing gift I've ever gotten. Russell and I are in love with her and even more in love with each other than ever. She's an amazingly sweet baby and is in perfect health. We couldn't be happier with her.

The following was written during my pregnancy:

December was the happiest month I can ever remember. Russell and I got pregnant, found out, and shared our very happy news with friends and family right away. I was showered with love and congratulations and was downright giddy most of the time. The nausea and exhaustion were more than I ever expected in the first trimester, but I'm still as happy as ever.

It's a girl! Rose Emiliana is due to arrive on August 28th!

The 2nd trimester was great, although I was tired. I was so nice to see my tummy getting rounder...and I got to feel her move every day. She responded to Russell's voice, my students, and avante garde jazz.

When trimester three came, I got so tired. Some days, I slept 20 hours! I thought that this is why people got sick of being pregnant. That was until I got diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes. For the first few days, I was so worried, angry, and confused. I couldn't figure out what to do and how to keep Rose safe. Well, within days, I started feeling better. I changed my diet right away, and after consulting with a nurse and dietician, I started being more active. I got a blood meter, and I haven't had one elevated blood sugar since I've started! Yipee. I'm now feeling better than any other part of my pregnancy...excluding the weirdo pains.

Russell and I just finished the nursery. My favorite part was when we created name art for over her crib! Now, we're just waiting to meet baby Rose and take her home.

Thanks for the comments on the pics. I agree that our babies are adorable. The one pic of Madison does look like she is smiling. Whenever she is done eating and going back to sleep since makes these funny faces that look like she smiling or laughing. It cracks us up. She is doing really well of holind her head up. Andrew wants to pick her up on his own but I will not let him until she is not a bobble head. He does love, he won't admit, but he is always checking on her. Have a great day. If I could bottle up some Autumn and send it to you I would! I love the foliage, but hate the bare trees and cold after. Where did you guys go for your trip? Rose must have loved the new sights and sounds. I love her eyes and I can't wait to see more pics of her!

The park was great, we walked and walked but Mario was fixing to get a slap in the head LMAO, he is so anal - "make sure her head is covered, is she hot/cold, where's her pacifier..." I finally said Enough just friggin relax!! He's like that at home but I'm not putting up with it outside. I know if she's comfortable or not! He's a good dad with a big heart but he can drive me up the wall, he's very protective of her.

I love your new pics of Rose smiling and mouth wide open, too adorable for words! I hope you are all doing well...we still haven't gone out to eat yet but we went to the park today with her and it was perfect weather, I put a few pics up and will put some more soon. okay, thank you! I was just worried that she wasn't getting enough. Sometimes I think she just uses me to pacifier her, for some reason she took the passy in the hospital but since we've come home she won't have anything to do w/ it. I think I'm going to try a different brand though, sometimes this one gags her.

Okay, I'm needing some advice again....I'm breastfeeding but here lately Madelyn hasn't really been eating. She will eat for about 5 mins and fall asleep and will not wake up for anything to eat anymore. I'm scared she isn't getting enough. I've tried everything to...I've rubbed her belly, her face, taken her clothes off...everything. She was doing really well but now doesn't seem interested. Did you go through this at all w/ Rose?

I know its to soon but I've considered pumping and letting Devin feed her through a bottle...I don't know what else to do?

We actually went apple picking last weekend... I posted a few pics just now actually of the kids!!!! Take a look. Enjoy your time away, will be nice. My MIL is coming in a week or two and then we wont see her till 6months or so as they are moving for work. I think I might bite my tongue and swallow my pride and let her take all three kids instead of just the older two so she can spend time with him before she leaves and so that I can have a nice night with hubby alone (To catch up you know!) LOL

Okay so let me answer some questions. We stayed at Hacienda San Angel & Casas las Brisas in Nayarit which is about an hour from the city (now called Brisas Mitas) they were both uber amazing. Hacienda San Angel was Richard Burtons villa before it became a hotel. Yes we did venture into the city & ate at some lovely places but the hotel had the best food. We didnt go to La Palapa, Id love to know about it. I want to go back, especially to casas las brisas, it was just amazing. Most of our honeymoon was lounging.
The new routine is all about using your small muscles & your own body weight. Its really hard but looks deceitfully easy. Lots of arm movements & butt stuff. She focuses on ballet like movements. mostly i do my fast walking.
Im jealous that you got a steak & wine, thats what I was craving tonight but I had an In n Out instead which was amazing. Im so glad you are being wined & dined, its about time!
You are dead on about the car!! Very intuitive you are. I have an Audi A4 and Charlie has a Prius. I love my Audi & I love the Prius. We drive the Prius more than the Audi for obvious reasons. What toyota do you have? In LA where driving is the inevitable having a nice car is so important.
I dont drive on the weekends, I used to ride my cruiser until I got too big. I can see you now on your cruiser in your polyester colorful dresses riding down the street! Do you have a basket?
We just saw Religious, it was great you guys have got to see it! I was having tons of contractions during the movie and they were a bit different than usual because they were accompying cramps. I still think I have a ways to go yet....just my body practicing.

I do hope you are able to get some romance in at the cabin! Enjoy your night & a lovely Sunday. xo Oh- we dont really visit our apartment, Charlies dad manages it. We have tenants who rent it.

Jeez a villa and a cabin! must be nice indeed. We went on our honeymoon to Puerta Vallerta to two of the most exquisite places ive ever been to. It so great to have a sanctuary to go to especially one owned by the family.

I feel honored that you told me about your meltdown. Its so important to share stories like that. raising babies Isnt easy & too many women pretend that it is. We all need to know about post partum & the hormone let down that happens to every woman.

Im very much mobile! I still power walk daily & do my yoga once or twice a week. Ive also started doing this exercise DVD that Gwyneth & Madonna do by a woman named Tracey Anderson. I'm trying to tone my big booty & arms. I noticed a nice pocket of cellulite fat above my boob next to my arm...its really sexy:) My pubic bone does hurt & it feels like I've been kicked but I find if I move around a lot it actually feels better. I do feel her so low at this point. I'm excited to see where she is on Monday when I go to the doc. I hope I'm dilating, god forbid all of this exercise be doing something because it isn't helping with the added cellulite!
Were going to see Religilous tonight, it looks hilarious but in a scary way if you know what I mean. Movies are the only thing left i can do. Were really cutting back & nice dinners out are one thing we've had to cut:(

We too only own two cars & the contents of our place as well...we do own a teeny, weeny apartment in Wimbledon but with the pound down & the market its probably worth less than what we bought it for.

So glad you are feeling better & able to relax. A cabin is the perfect place for a good meal and a big glass of red wine. God I cant wait to have a glass of good wine again.
