December was the happiest month I can ever remember. Russell and I got pregnant, found out, and shared our very happy news with friends and family right away. I was showered with love and congratulations and was downright giddy most of the time. The nausea and exhaustion were more than I ever expected in the first trimester, but I'm still as happy as ever.

It's a girl! Rose Emiliana is due to arrive on August 28th!

The 2nd trimester was great, although I was tired. I was so nice to see my tummy getting rounder...and I got to feel her move every day. She responded to Russell's voice, my students, and avante garde jazz.

When trimester three came, I got so tired. Some days, I slept 20 hours! I thought that this is why people got sick of being pregnant. That was until I got diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes. For the first few days, I was so worried, angry, and confused. I couldn't figure out what to do and how to keep Rose safe. Well, within days, I started feeling better. I changed my diet right away, and after consulting with a nurse and dietician, I started being more active. I got a blood meter, and I haven't had one elevated blood sugar since I've started! Yipee. I'm now feeling better than any other part of my pregnancy...excluding the weirdo pains.

Russell and I just finished the nursery. My favorite part was when we created name art for over her crib! Now, we're just waiting to meet baby Rose and take her home.

awww honey im so sorry. it's totally normal. and U R beautiful. i know u don't feel like it but u really are. what happpened to ur body was normal and natural and u will return to a normal state. promise promise.
im still hving contractions. ive had aboiut 6 in 45 minutes

yay for stripper boobs! lol. Lake Placid is an uber sarcastic trying to be a horror flick. it's great. My sil is one of my best friends. she is amazing! i just had 3 painful contractions in 15 minutes. yay

Aww...thank you so much. That makes me feel a little better! I think time off would be nice, but I fear the slow down will slow down all my progression. I am playing it day by day... basically, if I say I need to go off now, my job isn't asking questions. So that is the good thing. I can change my mind at will.
Day by day... that is what I am doing....

I am still content on working through to the finish line. Hoping that one of these days I just go to L&D and get it over with... my job doesnt expect me to be there much longer. I am kinda irritated with one of the girls I am working with now... sometimes team work sucks.
I think I am just moody today. Sorry... I dont feel like myself. I feel fat and unhappy.

OMG - freaking contractions again but not consistent enough to warrent a phone call, road trip or nothing. I am just dying here.

Tomorrow I am getting my house cleaned from top to bottom. I cannot wait for the results!

Thanks for taking the time to send me a note, I can only imagine how busy you are with a new baby. Sorry for not writing sooner I've been dealing with some crazy presonal crap at home.
I'm glad Rose was born diabetes free and it's gone for you!! Gives me hope for my little guy. I've been testing 4 times a day and my #'s are great. Once in a while it's a little high but not so bad to where my nutritionist or Dr are concerned. I'm sticking to the diet and I'm use to it now. It's not so bad now that I've found foods I enjoy and are able to eat. Also, my nutritionist said as long as I eat a good breakfast & lunch I can pig out for my baby shower. I prepared everyone to watch me stuff my face that day. I'll try my hardest not to eat to bad but it'll be nice to know I'll be able to at least eat a nice big pc of cake and wash it down with a HUGE glass of milk. Other then the GD my pregnancy is going well and I'm waiting patiently for my baby shower (only 4 more days!!).

How is baby rose? and how are you feeling? I bet you cant stop looking at her and kissing her. How many times to you get up to check if she's breathing?? LOL!! I hope your really enjoying her.

i started Dash on his schedule of feedings every 3-4 hours. he's been sticking to it. after spending two sleepless night with him my husband and i knew we'd be wrapped around his little finger if we didn't nip it in the bum soon! LOL he's been good about it. i'm glad i did cause our neighbors have a 6 week old boy and they are still on his clock. and Rose is a Virgo, so you wont have a problem with her sticking to a schedule! Virgos are all about planning and routine. that was one reason i kept telling Dash "Don't you dare come early! I can't handle a Leo. Please be a Virgo" LOL

yeah that happened to me too! it projectiled all over her crib sheet! doll, clothes, everything. i was so tired i just put it in the wash without treating it and stained it all. oh well. that was just a 5.99 crib sheet from target! thank god.

yeah i wouldnt take me for it either! nor him! its funny when he tells the story to his friends or they see the series in our dvd collection..they think its mine and its his! lol its so cute. omg he is getting more amazing than ever. i think those were just some really bad nites. he told me how proud he was of me. how i've been so amazing, that i have done an awesome job on the first week of being a mommy, that i am a better cook than i give myself credit for, that i did such a good job pushing, that i am so great with her, how wonderful i am, just on and on. hes been great.

yes my boobs are crazy sore! but theyre getting better. that latching on hurts so bad. i got more percs. they squeezed me into the dr today, a diff dr since it was mine's day off. she wants me to soak in the tub 4 times a day. there is no infection but it is swollen and looks red and irritated. to stay off my damn feet and quit going everywhere. but that i'm healing up nicely and she wants to see me in 2 days to see how its improving. so good deal! i was worried i tore more or ripped stitches or even got an infection its been so painful. i don't care about looking like a crackhead or not lol..i'm in super pain and the motrin just doesn't take the edge off whatsoever.

got 2 nursing bras today from motherhood..they are so supportive and were only 18 each!

My first day back was great! All of my students were so excited about the baby! I must have heard "you're having a baby?!" like 200 times!
It sounds like you are really enjoying your time with Rose. I am so happy for you!

i always used to make fun of that show and refused to watch it. since i like gossip girl which he got me hooked on in the spring, and i was so preggo and couldnt do anything else-he bought all the seasons of oc and we watched every one. and i liked it. thats 100 EPISODES! lol

London is doing good...my baby had to get his 4 mth shots today (4 shots) so I was sad for him and wish I could get the shots for him. I talked to his sitter earlier and she said he is just smiling and talking and seems to be very happy, so that makes me feel good. I can't wait to get off at 3pm today so I can rush to her house and get him. Other than the shots, the Dr said he is in perfect health. He weighs 15 lbs and is 22in long. My baby is getting to be a big boy, lol!

No he isn't saying mommy or daddy yet, but I hope he says it soon...I can't wait. I will let you know when he does of course!!!

I knew Rose was going to be a sweet little baby...she is so precious. I hate we don't live close to each other...we could have let London and Rose have som play dates.

Hey sweetie!

Sorry I didn't repply earlier but we left to a church retreat on sat morning and we got back last night! we went to albany, ny (21/52 hours away from home) we had a great time! Were leaving to DR this Friday!! I'm so excited!!

Enough about me how are you feeling? How is my Lil Rose doing? not sleeping through the night ... both of my boys started sleeping through the night at nine minths!!! I'm sure baby Rose will sleep after her 2 month of birth!!Hope to hear from you soon!

It would be so amazing to get a lot of maternity leave!

I'm like you though if I wasn't working i would go crazy! I'm a bit of a work-aholic myself and I just feel like if i'm not working I'm not contributing anything to society! LOL!

I love my job as well! its not something i thought i would be doing but it just kind of fell in my lap and i love it! I can't picture myself really doing anything else! Its funny how life works out!

LOL..yeah..my first son was over 10 pounds and i had him vaginally...i really dont want to do that again..lol..my Dr. told me i had more stitches then a football! Now my sis-in-law had a 7 pounder and had nothing but problems and was told all future children would have to be c-section. So i know what you mean. My Dr.'s told me at my very first appt. that because Tyler was so big at birth that they would induce me...then of course i developed the GD so they said without a doubt they would induce me. Im just waiting for them to give me the word now...lol..we will see how much bigger he got on thurs. I REALLY dont want a repeat of my last delivery...lol...

She sounds like an absolute sweetheart! I will have to read up on your birth story...glad to hear that you and the FAMILLY are doing so well!

im hanging in there...lol..barely! lol..i have another biophysical profile on thurs. they are guestimating his weight to be at almost 8 pounds allready! im terrified..lol...im gonna beg for an induction when i go in..lol...

so how do you and russell like being parents?? wild huh? Nothing like it in the world. How are you feeling? Getting more mobile? Got the baby blues at all?
