My daughter Kayla Marie was born Sept 7th 2007 when she was due Oct 4th, weighing in at 5pnds 9 oz! We just found out we are pregnant again with our second baby that is due Feb 15 2009 and we are very excited, we planned on them having them close together! I Also have my own childrens business, you can visit me at Alexakayposhdesigns.com, I make custom blankets,burp cloths, hair clips (great for babies with little hair) and much more!

6/30/08 MONDAY
Today I have been feeling nautious as usual then took a nap, woke up wanting strawberry milk then puked it up 40 min later, gross let me tell you! This past Sat I puked carrots and ranch which ruined my obsession with ranch. I guess it could be worst, I could be puking every hour like I did with my daughter!

I feel so nautious as usual, today I wanted sea food and was not impressed at all, came home took a very long nap as if I worked all day when really all I did was go out to eat. I really hope this gets better so I can get back to my business.

ah where to begin so we went to south padre for the 4th of July and I some how all of a sudden stop getting sick on the way there? UNTIL we went deep sea fishing! I puked 8 times and I really thought everything would of been fine since I went when I was pregnant with Kayla but not so much this time. Other than that it rained the whole time but Kayla had fun! SO I not only am I hoping for a healthy baby boy I really think Im having a boy so we shall see later on!

9 weeks today! blah today I woke up at 9 am then went back to bed at 10 am and slept til 3 would of slept longer but hubby went in the room to ask if I was ok? since I slept so long lol what I wanna know is if he was worried shouldnt he have went in 3 hrs ago? lol anywho its nice to know he cares but I still feel like crap! I dont know what im gonna do when he goes back to work on the 21st!

ahh today is Sunday and we decided to go to a movie with Kayla which may I add she was an angel!!! The we went 45 min away to San Marcos to shop! We had tons of fun, I realllly liked the carters outlet tons of cute stuff!! Kayla (10 months) has been taking steps here and there but has been talking like no tomorrow saying, Hey, hello, dad, mom, mine, whats that, bye and even waived to the doc when she did it bc we were leaving, can also clap and Hi five. Im so proud of her but sometimes I think she is too smart for her own good! haha just sometimes like when we try to put her in the entertainment center with a chair that goes around it or even her highchair she spreads her legs open so she cant go in it! OR she stiffs her back when she doesnt want to go in the carseat. AS for the pregnancy, I cant wait to find out what were having! I still think its a boy! we shall see mid sept!

I was like this last time, but this time is 4 times worse. The only thing that is saving me is that I have been feeling the little turd move, so I know everything is ok. I mean I can barely hold down water, how is this kid surviving, lol.
Ally is driving me nuts too. She has this new obsession with my chapstick. She just has to hold it when she is in our bedroom. She has yet to attach to a stuffed animal or anything...just the chapstick.
I am with you on the birthday party. She will not remember a bot of it but I guess I have to do it for the family. I really don't want to end up cooking anything and am trying to find a caterer. I can't wait until the days where you just rent an anstro jump and are the best!!

Hey there!!! How have you been? That is cool you will get your ultrasound at 18weeks! I would have been mad too if I had the chance to get it done before 20 weeks and they argued...I have to wait till 20 weeks per my obgyn...NICE. This waiting is driving me crazy!!! So how are you feeling? My nausea is all but gone now and I was having really bad headaches, but they seem to be easing up too--soooooo....not too bad. I just want time to keep moving fast

So Ally found my nostril today. What a little turd, she kept trying to shove her finger in it and scratched it. So I just tries to shove my finger in her nose back, lol. She stopped really quick.

charting BBT is the basal body temperature... your body's temperature at rest (so first thing in the morning before you even get out of bed)... the reason women do it is because around the time of ovulation there is usually a siginificant increase in temperature and your body temperature will stay raised for the remainder of the cycle. i'm just trying to get an idea of when i might ovulate! haha thats funny you say that, i am actually adopted too, from houston. i found my birthmother when i was 19, but i have never met her. i will get to meet my half siblings when i am in houston this month, they still live in houston with their dad. i actually have family in san antonio, but i dont know if i will be able to get up there this trip :( so did kayla just start talking or did you teach her words? annabelle says the normal mama dada baba and everytime shes in her crib she yells something that sounds just like "out!" i cant believe our little girls are growing up so fast!

things are going well- kirk leaves for recruiter school on sunday, and i fly back to houston on saturday to be with my family while he is away... he'll be gone for 6 and a half weeks, so i am taking advantage of that time to start charting BBT and whatnot, just as a guide (i promised myself i would not get hyperfixated on it, but that is probably what will end up happening!)... i am SOOO excited to try for baby #2 :-) i read your blog, it seems that miss kayla is growing up! is she walking yet?

No, Ally hadn't noticed my belly button yet. I try to show her the bab, but she loses interest. My mother and law has noticed her having a preferrance for me, but I wouldn't say she is clingy. I am home with her all day, so she trusts being with me the most I guess. She has been really needy lately though, really whiny.

Wow, Kayla is a smarty huh? Ally says a few words..the usual babba, momma and dadda. Sometimes I think she is saying huh or wow, but I think I am just making sense of the noises she makes.

THANKS SO MUCH!!! My mom is doing better. My parents got their power back after not having it for a little over two days. My mom was down to only having 1 tank of oxygen. There are so many familys that lost so much. I hope to take some pictures and post them so you guys can see. I'm to thankful that my family is ok now. I hope to get on often so I can catch up on everything. CONGRATS to those of you that have had your little ones and I thinks its great that I have such awsome friends on this site. THANKS again. No she has a couple bottles a day, just not a lot of oz. Normally it is just in the morning and evening but sometimes she gets a few extra depending.

That is awful that your doc said that. I am on the other side of the fence. Dana drinks juice 24 ounces of formula, 3 meals a day and snacks and she is a whopping 16 pounds and 10 ounces...My doctor said not to worry though some babies are on the high end of the scale chart and some are on the low end and she is gaining and that is the important thing. Once she starts walking and running which we know will be soon it will come off. Geesh sometimes the doctors just blurt stuff out I think to scare us..

Ally usually only drinks 6 oz of formula. Sometimes 8 oz, but not that often. It is weird how different kids are.

So she doesn't drink juice? Ally has some juice with her lunch and sometimes with her dinner, just to wash stuff down. Other than that she has formula. I feed her those gerber fruit canisters at lunch and the dinner jars at dinner along with some of our food. She has started to beg for our food when we eat. Thus far she has been porportionate 90th and 90th percentile for height and weight at her last appt.

Ally usually wakes up around 5-6 am, has a bottle and then goes back to sleep until 8 or so. Then she usually goes back down for a nap around 9-10. Lately she waits until 11-2. She is obviously tired, but she doesn't want to go to bed.

I love the name Caleb, it is actually on my short list!!!! I know what you mean about the boys coming up with crazy names, my hubby wants to name our child after 80's rock band members (Brett Michaels, lead singer from poison!!) There is no chance that is happening..........

Just thought I would let you know that Anna was almost 23 pounds at her 9 month appt so I won't be surprised if she is close to 24 when I take her this next month. She has always been a big baby and definitely loves to eat! My doctor has not said anything about her being too big and I guess I look at it like at least she isn't super skinny and won't eat! Once our girls start walking/running around they will thin up! You are doing a great job!!! Congrats on #2....I am thinking about trying for another soon too!
