Kenny Logins puts out a great luliby CD. Never mind, just noticed someone else posted that..Ha ha...It's probably one of the best ones out there...You'll find your self humming the songs all day long.

Tiffanymommyto4 - Monday, 30 June
Kenny Loggins--Return to Pooh Corner is the BEST lullaby CD!!! I love it just as much as my older kids did ;-) I hadn't even thought about getting it for my lil man but now I'll have to run out and get one...

Hi I just noticed your post on the 3 month page and you are from Northern Cal. Just wondering from where? I am in Sonoma County.

I have an air purfier running all day for my little ones lungs... that may help with the smoke

indianmom - Tuesday, 24 June
Yes he isdoing fine with the dispo ones. I am just worried that I am not inviting a diaper rash as i read a couple of articles which were totally against the use of dispo diapers. Anyways, thanks for your views :)

I highly recommend the Eurobath by Primo. I have been using it for my 3 1/2 month old son and he loves it. Its got two sides, one for babies upto 6 months and another side to use when they can sit up on their own. Its available in Babies R Us and costs $25. The specifications say it can be used upto 2 years! Check it out.

I have a tub I got from K-Mart. It's a white plastic Pooh tub and the baby is in a hammock type thing until they can sit up. It's about 20 bucks and it works great. When the baby can sit you take off the Pooh hammock and they sit in the tub.

if you were anemic during pregnancy you are more than likely anemic now if your breastfeeding, your still the sole nutritional provider for your baby even though they aren't inside of you, unless you suppliment with formula. I was severly anemic during my pregnancy and got a very long lecture on how baby is getting all of my iron stores now and draining me of it. I am still anemic but don't take iron because it makes me sick to my stomach. If you can tollerate it, I suggest you take it. If there is a question as to whether or not its needed you can always request a simple iron check. It will make you feel more energetic and all around healthier if you need it.

Hey About the bug spray, I was told not to use any regular repellent but that I could use Baby oil which supossedly works. (I haven't used it yet)

weloveourbaby - Wednesday, 11 June
Thanks for the info...he still wont take it. I bought a couple of different bottles and nipples. The only one he'll almost take is the Dr. Browns bottle. It is driving my crazy! I don't know what to do. He's going to need to take the bottle.

Daddysgirl - Tuesday, 27 May
Hi

Mine also refused the bottle for a good 4 months until i bought the pigeon breastpump- it came with bottles that have tits the same as ours(apparently) and that was the end of my misery! He really likes it and doesnt notice the diff really. im back at work now and can switch bet the bottle and my breast at any time. i give him breastmilk exclusively but when i havent pumped enough my sister gives him formula which he takes- hesitantly though, but the magic is in the pigeon bottle- try it!

littlecavalier - Tuesday, 27 May
Sometimes it helps if you aren't in the room when she is getting a bottle. If she can see you or hear you she'll want the breast because that's what she's used to. Sometimes babies are funny but just keep trying and only warm a little breast milk at a time, like an ounce so that you're not wasting a bunch each time you try. Try giving a bottle whatever time of the day she seems the happiest.

Milmom2be - Sunday, 25 May
I do have to wear bra + pads to bed, as was demonstrated last night... I must have tossed around too much as I lost one of my pads, I leaked from that breast and soaked my bra, sheets, matress, edge of my pillow, ect! I was so mad when I woke up, I fed my daughter from the one breast that still had milk in it, and went to take a shower while she cried cause she was still hungry... But that is just me so you may not need them as much...

snowwhite5thbabe - Saturday, 24 May
I wore a bra at night through the engorgement week, now I don't. Sometimes my shirt has a wet spot when I wake up...one time I leaked really good on the sheet. You can put a protection pad on the mattress if you want...I just feel if I wear the bra too long, it's too constricting on the sides, which can cause a plugged duct/ mastitis.

littletonmommy - Friday, 16 May
Thank you for your post. It's nice to know that I am not "the bad mommy" who feels this way. I appreciate it.

March - Friday, 16 May
Which kiddopatomus swaddler do you have? Even though we keep our house cool, we have real problems with him getting really hot, esp. if he's in his car seat. So I've replaced wrapping him in blankets with wrapping him in the cotton knit kiddopotamus swaddler and it does a lot better. I know that there is also a fleece kiddopotamus and a flannel one, so if you have one of those you could get something cooler that's still kiddopotamus - this one doesn't seem any thicker than one llayer of thin clothes

natassia - Friday, 16 May
i keep my house at 74 at night and he is swaddled in his blanket... i keep him in just a onesie at night but if it gets real hot just swaddle your lil one in a diaper

srm31 - Monday, 12 May
How do you get baby to nap? Mine always wants to be held and her naps are inconsistant.

xiaodaph - Saturday, 3 May
Yes... Doctor said the same thing to me too.. He said my baby might have left over hormones from.. Haha.. Glad it turns out like that....

HI, I read your message about baby acne. I really don't know if this will help you and it could be that my little one had a very mild case, but his was getting pretty bad, all over his cheeks and body. All I started doing was getting two cotton balls, often throughout the day, wetting one and leaving one dry. I go all over his face, wiping it down with the wet cotton ball (no soap or anything just water) and then wipe his face with the dry one to dry it and it's all but cleared up totally. Like I said, I don't know if your baby has a worse case than mine did but I hope this might help you a bit. :)

About the pacifiers:
My family(including hubby and myself) are very against pacifiers except in certain cercumstances. Most people that I have seen use them just to shut the baby up instead of rocking and soothing the baby. However, some babies just have the need to suck and IMO that is the right time to use them. My son has a horrible oral fixation(even in the womb)and has to put everything in his mouth so we use a pacifier sometimes when he just has to suck, but not all the time. I did read somewhere online that they now say that pacifiers help to reduce SIDS, but then again they still don't know much about it in the first place(in a few years they will retract that statement I'm sure). Pacifiers are a good tool when used properly in moderation like everything else. Don't forget that you are the parent and what you say and do is what really counts not everyone else. Good Luck!
