It's a Girl!!!! Chloe Elizabeth 4/11/09 6lbs 10ounces. 20 1/2 inches. Born with a head full of beautiful strawberry blonde hair!!! :)

July 2008- We went off birth control and a month later we found out I was pregnant!!

August 5th 2008- We found out I was Pregnant! One of the best days of our life!

September 9th 2008- We went in for our first Dr. appointment today. Had blood work and a pap done, Dr. said I look normal and healthy but wants to schedual an u/s to make sure we know for sure how far along I am.

September 11th 2008- Had our first u/s done. Was so amazing to see our baby with a heartbeat and all! Was a wiggly little peanut :) The heartbeat was 165 and they said I was about 9 weeks along.

October 7th 2008- Had our second Dr. appointment. Blood pressure was good and said I was coming along good. Got to hear the babys heartbeat! It was 150............so amazing to hear!! Next Dr. Appoinment is on Novemeber 4th. This is when we will have more blood work done (I think it's for the Downs testing) and we will also set up the ultrasound and find out if our baby is a boy or girl :) YAH

November 4th 2008- 3rd appointment went well! Dr. said everything looked good and normal. Babys heart beat was between 140-145. I had the triple screen blood test done today too. Also got my flu shot. Our big u/s to determine the gender of the baby is in 2 weeks!!! November 18th!!! YAH So looking forward to that!!

November 18th 2008- We had our BIG ultrasound today! We thought we would be finding out if we were having a boy or girl, but that was not the case.. My belly button was in the way of the private parts the whole time and baby did not want to spread the legs! The most important thing though is that the baby is healthy and growing well! Heartbeat was 158 and baby was 10 ounces! It was so amazing to see the ultrasound pictures! We are very thankful that everything went well. So now we will have something more to look forward to in April. It will be a wonderful surprise!

December 11th 2008- Had another checkup today. Everything went well! Babys heartbeat was 150. I have gained 11 pounds overall so far. Dr. said I was measuring right on track! Yesterday my husband and I heard our babys heartbeat with a regular stethescope. I have been trying to hear it for a couple of weeks and it finally happened! It was a very exciting moment!!!

January 9 2009- We had our 26th week checkup today. I have gained 16 pounds overall so far. Babys heartrate was 150. My blood pressure was 110/60. I go in on Monday for the glucose test. I hope all turns out fine! Next appointment is Feb 6th for our 30 week appointment. Then we will be going every 2 weeks! Almost there baby, we are looking forward to meeting you in April :)

January 12th 2009- Had the glucose test done today, wasnt so bad afterall. I passed!!! My score was 74 and they like it below 135!!! What a relief :)

February 6th 2009- Went in today for my regular 30 week appointment. I mentioned to the Dr that I was sometimes feeling some pressure and once in a while I get a little watery discharge.(not a lot) So he decided to give me a pelvic exam and check my cervix. The internal part of my cervix was closed, but the external part of it was a little open. He called it figertiped. So they took a sample from my cervix which test if I am at a high risk for pre term labor. (Fetal fibronectin) Babys heartrate was good...145. I was measuring on track too. So then he decided to also do a non stress test to see if I was having contractions. So I had to go to the OB for that and they hooked me up to the monitor. Took about 1 hour and they discovered I did have a few contractions about 12 mins apart. The baby was moving a lot so that was all that I felt. He said contractions(BH) are normal at this point but not normal if my cervix is breaking down. The test for the Fetal Fibronectin will be back later on today. If it comes back negative good news! Positive I will be put on this medication to relax my uterus and stop these contractions. So we will keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best! I will mostly likely be going to the Dr's now every week to check on things. I have gained 19 pounds so far and my blood pressure is nice and low! Please wish me luck and say a prayer.

February 6th 2009- Just got the call from the Dr on the Fetal Fibronectin and it came back negative! So blessed! I can now relax and hope that we make it until 36 weeks! I go back to the Dr on the 10th for another check up to make sure there are no changes.

February 10th 2009- Had another check up and they checked my cervix again to look for changes. Nothing has changed so that was all good news! So hopefully it will stay this way until the end! I now have to go weekly for checkups.

February 17th 2009- Check up went pretty good! He didnt even have to check my cervix this time because I am not having the pressure anymore. Baby is head down and had a strong 140 hb. I have gained 23 pounds so far and my bp was good as usual. I did have some white blood cells in my urine so they sent that to the lab to check for bacteria/infection. We dont have to go back for another 2 weeks so that is good news :)

February 19th 2009- Nurse just called and my urine came back negative for any bacteria or infection. YAH :) She said it was probably just dead skin cells.

March 3rd 2009- Regular Check Up- Everything went well! Baby heartrate was 145-148, head down and dr said he/she weighs about 4- 4 1/2 pounds. I have gained about 25 pounds so far and my bp was nice and low....112/64.

March 5th 2009- Start Child Birth Class Part 1- There are 5 couples in our class and that includes us. One other couple are due 2 days before we are, the others are due in May and June. We got a tour of the birthing unit today. We also watching a movie on Labor and delivery, very educational! Next week we will start breathing techniques and different methods for labor and pain.

March 12th 2009- Birth Class Part 2- Today we practiced breathing techniques and natural ways to reduce pain. We also did a meditaion excersize, which was nice.

March 17th 2009- Regular Check Up- 35 week! Today we had our 35 week check-up. Things went well! I have gained 26 1/2 pounds and blood pressure was nice and low...116/64. Dr felt the babys position and was 90% sure head was down. He said he was going to have an u/s done to verify and to check on growth of babys. I was so excited when he said we were going to get to see baby! We had not had an u/s since week 18! They also did the strep B test today. Ultrasound went very well, baby is growing very well!! Weighing in around 6 pounds! I was so surprised when she said that. Heartrate was 153. Head is down like Dr thought. Babys heart, kidneys, tummy, and all the other organs looked good as well. We got a few pictures of the face but since there isnt much room anymore, the pics didnt really come out all that great. I will start going everyweek now! Getting so close, so exciting :)

March 19th 2009- Birth Class part 3- Class went well, we went over all of the pain meds and epideral stuff. They also showed us the BIG pads that you have to wear after you have the baby and the big old undies too ;) I am still looking forward to going though the whole experience. I am sure once I see our little bundle of joy I will forget out all the labor and delivery stuff.

March 24th 2009- Regular 36 week check up. Heartrate for baby was in the low 150's. My blood pressure was low as usual..112/64. They did not do an internal exam today, I guess they don't like to do them unless they have too. Until week 37-38 anyways. 24 days to go!!!! YAH

March 31, 2009- 37 week check up. Well, our appointment went well! My bp is still nice and low...112/64, weight has stayed the same. Baby was nice and active while he was checking the heartbeat so it was 150-170 which he said is a nice healthy rate when they are moving all around. We are progressing some too!!! I am 1cm dilated and 50% effaced!!! I was a little surprised! We are all ready, whenever baby decides to enter this world!!! Next appointment is next Wednesday.
