Hi everyone! I'm Ally, 22 from Doncaster in the UK! I am having my first baby which is both exciting and scary experience! Went for my first scan on Monday 9th June and my due date is 10th December give or take a few days!
Generally have taken really well with this pregnancy..no major symptoms except tiredness, morning sickness (until I have eaten something), and the odd twinge here and there! Now I am at 19 weeks I have terrible stretching pain in my belly which is to be expected I suppose!
We have now found out on 5th July that we're having a baby GIRL!!!! Yey Im so pleased! Think pink lol!!!

Hey petal!
All is well up here in rainy Scotland! I'm bored today as Hubby is watching football! YAWN, YAWN!
Bump and I are fine thanks! Getting bigger, but everyone keeps saying "I'm neat". I suppose I should be glad as I don't want to be massive seeing as we still have 15 weeks to go! OMG...that seems so close now!
But I would like to waddle around so that everyone knows I'm pregnant!
Bought some lovely furniture for baba's room on Thursday. A gorgeous toy box and a teeny, tiny little chair to match. Its from the Sia range...you should check their site out. Got some lovely stuff. So the nursery is almost complete. Am waiting till after the 3d scan on the 26th Sept to buy coloured bedding for the cot/bed. I'm sure we will be buying blue...but we just want to make sure!
You been feathering the nest and buying anything else for your little princess?
I have been feeling lots of movements too. They are getting higher and higher. Feels great!!!! xx

Its hard at the bottom but soft at the top i can breath that bit it haha im 17 weeks 1 day so hopefully it will harden up soon! do you know what you are having yet? x

I tell you what LOL.. I'll take a look at your pics if you put them on after the scan and then I'll decide.. knowing me and my rubber arm I will probably end up going incase.. She is kicking up a storm tonight though..

LOL.. well I have to admit she made up for it and turn around just before we were done so we got a real nice profile pic... one day.. I am actually trying to decide if I want a 3D/4D scan.. i so want to wait to actually see her for the first time before I know what she lookds like.. have you guys decided yet?

The birth plan is something you do with the midwife - It just outlines everything you want when your in labour. We have everything we need for the arrival now apart from the pram. We havent done the nursery yet that is something simon is doing when it starts raining and he cant do stuff in the garden. Im not allowed to have anything to do with the nursery - he said it is going to be a surprise for me to which i thought was really sweet!! I have days when I dont feel the jelly bean move but thats normal aparently altho it has def got stronger!! Have been sleeping better since I did the pillow trick - its not very attractive but after nights of no sleep i really didnt care!!! lol

Today I have heart burn - which is bloody horrible and if you have any remedies to get rid of it i would be glad to hear them!!! Glad everything is ok for you and your bundle of joy.

Are you getting impatient now? I just want it to be here so I can hold it and see what it looks like xxx

Oh my god - you bump looks really cool!!!! Mine just looks white and huge and you can see where I had my belly button peirced - I have taken it out now tho.

I think I have solved my sleeping issues now with my very unattractive pillow between my knees. Simon just let me get on with it - think he is fed up of me being grouchy cos I have been so tired!!!! Fingers crossed all sorted now.

I thought I might sit and start writing my birth plan this afternoon as I have nothing else to do at work!!! Have you stared one yet? I dont know what to put on there!!!! I have a book which guides me through it tho!

How are you and bump anyway? Any further developments? Mine has started bouncing around now like a jumping bean!!!! Its such a nice feeling tho xx

Petal...if it's any help, I'm sailing in the same boat with you! I left my job after 5 years of putting up with a nightmare boss in Jan.08 and had planned to take a few months off before getting back into full time work. Low and behold I got pregnant and so have no job. Because I'm a nurse very few places would employ me cos of Manual Handling/Health & Safety, and no-one wants to employ someone who is going to leave in a few months on Maty leave for a year.
I will be living on the same benefit too. I enquired about other benefits, but I felt because I have been a tax payer since I was 17 and haven't got myself hooked on drugs or alcohol I'm basically left to fend for myself. They were really unhelpful!
Try phoning up the benefit office to see what is on offer and definitely ask your midwife at your next appt for any help regarding this!
I think our goverment is a joke anyway...but it is scary when they keep bleeting on about a recession heading our way.

I'm just thankful I am pregnant and so far baby has been doing well. I'll deal with all the other stuff later.
That's why I am buying as much stuff on special offer just now as I can. Spread the cost!!!!!

I have just experienced a weird episode of laughing HYSTERICALLY to that stupid advert for the "Natural Confectionery Co." Have you seen it? The orange snake sweet getting mad at the red teddy sweet...."bring on the trumpet!!!"
Must be my hormones making me laugh at that tosh!
I had a spending spree this weekend. Pram delivered to my folks house, nursery furniture delivered and more baby outfits bought, including a cozy snow suit!
Also bought my Tommee Tippee steriliser!
You been buying anything?

Hey hun, How are you? Sorry I have not been in touch for a while things have been really manic at work and I have actually had to work!!!! Not good.

So what have you been up to? Are you feeling lots of movement yet? I feel it partying when I lie down at night but not feeling any real big kicks like evryone else seems to. The sonographer says something about the placenta being in front of the baby but I just really want to feel it properly!!!! I know simon is dying to feel it kick!!!

My belly is just about the same size as yours and I'm 10 weeks! My goodness... now I feel huge! Do you have a long torso... I suppose if you have a long torso... the baby is just laying long ways. Either way... you look just fine & I have a feeling that once it starts growing... it'll get bigger & bigger by the day! Congrats!

Morning!
I really should try getting on with some work but I can't be bothered today. Think my BP is a bit low today as I feel really dizzy. Probably just the heat in this place! No windows in my room...just an air con which doesn't seem to be doing much good.
Cheers for the heads up on the Avent bottles. Didn't know they leaked.
How's the cross stitch coming on? I know what you mean about wanting everything just right for the new arrival!! I'm trying real hard to get new carpets for the living room and halls....and get the dogs banished to the kitchen and garden from now on. Hubby not too keen...yet! I'll get round him

So what was the story on the rude midwife at your scan??? What was her problem. Sometimes people can take the fun out of your special moments can't they? They might have seen a million babies on scan, but don't they realise it's a first for us???
I got a little annoyed when our baby had leg measurements that were a week behing his actual dates and when I said "is that ok?", she looked at me over the top of her glasses, laughed and brushed me off with a "yes, yes". Made me feel a tad stoopid, but I don't know these things!

Hey chick!
You looked very "swish" all dressed up at the wedding! Your bump is very neat.
Well despite not being told at the scan what it was for definite.....there was no denying we're having A BOY!
He certainly wasn't shy about showing off his dangly bits!

We have booked the private 4D scan for the end of Sept just to make sure we are right, but daddy headed off after the scan and bought a few "blue" items of clothing and I just couldn't resist buying a Tommee Tippee" nappy wrapper from Mothercare which was reduced from �29.99 down to �14.99. Whooo hoooo!
Now I am thinking on buying the cotbed, wardrobe and changer for the nursery....I'M ON A ROLL....SOMEBODY STOP ME!!!!!

You bought anything else recently? What kind of bottles are you going to buy? Avent?

Thanks Ally for your advice, sorry i dind't respond sooner. I think the whole thing was really gettting to me. We found out we are having a boy last week

. MY boyfriend's attitude has changed so much, his very attentive and caring now. I think he was going thru some kinda pregnancy phase. Thanks again for your advice
